Chapter: 3 New Power, Family and 1st Nightmare

After the message suddenly Mark's mind started to fill with various kinds of names or what you call True Names. He had to endure a lot of pain while receiving them. After the process ended his mind started to clear up and he felt something different. It was like he felt much closer and attached to the nearby elements.

After hearing the system he realized his mind started to feel much sharper and he could think complex things much more easily.
"That's great," Mark exclaimed. He then tried some things. First he closed his eyes and moved his hand forward and chanted a name in his mind suddenly he could feel his surroundings becoming hotter when he opened his eyes he saw a fireball in his hand which he felt he could move it any way he wants he first imagined a sword fully made of flames and to his surprise the fireball in his hand turned into a flame sword. He then tried many things like creating a bow, arrow, whip, ropes, dagger and many things.
After some time, trying things made of flames he then stopped. Even though he wanted to try everything he could do he decided against it after all he could always try things in the nightmare.
He then hurriedly took a bath and cleaned himself. After getting ready he headed toward the dining room. He saw his father watching the recent news that his mother was preparing the dining table. He smiled faintly, and then his eyes landed on Rain. She was sitting on the chair wearing her daily outfit since today they had a holiday in school. He then took a seat beside Rain. Her cheeks turned a bit shade of red remembering the incident in his room.
Mark took a deep breath then turned to his parents. "Mom, Dad and Rain I have something to tell you guys "Mark said in a calm Voice. His parents and rain stopped what they were doing and looked at Mark with a curious look, seeing everyone's attention was on him Mark said "I am infected by the nightmare spell."
The room turned silent for a while, suddenly Rain broke the silence and said "Brother, stop joking, we're trying to eat right now and it's not the right time to joke about something like that." Saying that she looked at Mark with a pleading eye.
Mark could see a bit of tears from her eyes. But he ignored her and said in an even voice "I am not joking and I am planning to go to the police station after this and just to let you know Rain I was not joking to you before and I am not joking right now."
After hearing him his father and mother turned dead pale, they could not understand what to say to him. After hearing him say these without being sad or worried they knew they cannot do anything about it. And it is meaningless to try and console him. Then his father asked in a shaky voice "how long can you keep yourself awake?"
Hearing him Mark said "Not much, about 3 to 4 hours. And just so you know I want to spend most of the time with you guys." He paused for a second and said "Thank you for taking care of me all these years."
After he said that the whole room turned silent again and started rolling down her eyes and then she realized why Mark started acting weird in his room. She realized that all the time Mark loved her but didn't say anything because they were family and after realizing that he was infected by the nightmare spell, before going he at least wanted to let her know his true feelings toward her.
Quickly they all sat down and started eating silently; nobody had the right words to say at a time like this. Mark's mother was trying her best not to cry when her son wanted to spend time with them but tears kept falling from her eyes the whole time they were eating. Mark knew how she felt so he didn't try to console her.
After eating, his mother went to her room because she didn't want her son to go when none of them knew if he would come back alive or not.
His father was going to drop him off at the police station in his PTV so they could reach there quickly.
Before leaving, Rain blocked his way "Rain wha….." before he could say something Rain walked over and hugged him.
"I want to see you again, so make sure you survive and return safely from the nightmare. Just come back and I'll give you what you want from me" Said Rain in a shaky voice.
Mark was surprised to hear her, he asked with a surprised look on his face "you truly mean it?'
Rain nodded her head and ran to her room without stopping.
On their way to the station Mark kept thinking about what Rain said. They quickly reached the police station and told the officers about the situation in detail. After they confirmed everything they took Mike to the underground vault of the police station. They restrained him in a weird mix of hospital bed and torture device. Seeing this Mike sighed and thought 'can't believe I am sitting on the chair where MC of this world sat in the first chapter' he laughed at his current situation
Suddenly he heard his system.

Mike clicked on yes. Then a message box appeared in front of him

Mike was shocked by this revelation but suddenly he felt extremely sleepy and soon everything became dark.
And in that darkness a familiar voice rang.
