Chapter: 5 the Forgotten

"Who Are You?"
Mark exclaimed with shock looking at the unknown man in front of his eyes. He knew the man in front of him was much much stronger than he currently was even with hopes magic he cannot defeat him.
The man was silently staring at him like he was examining everything about Mark. After a long while the man asked in a hoarse voice like he was taking after a long time and asked with a curious tone "Are you sent by the nightmare spell?"
Hearing him, Mark froze in place. 'How does he know about the nightmare spell? Everyone has their own unique first nightmare. The first nightmare is supposed to be sending people to the past when the nightmare spell wasn't even created.' Mark thought.
Mark then asked the man in a scared voice "How do you know about the nightmare spell?"
Hearing him the man again asked him "And why do you think I wouldn't about the spell?"
"Because the nightmare spell is supposed to send people to the past scenarios when the nightmare spell wasn't even created. Even though I am not sure most of the time that was to be the case" Mark said truthfully.
After hearing him the mysterious man gave him a faint smile "How much do you know about the creator of the nightmare spell and the reason behind its creation?"
Mark again replied truthfully without hiding anything "Even though that is what only I think but, the nightmare spell was created by Weaver the Demon of Fate. Nobody knows why he or she created the spell but if I give my opinion it is so that the spell could raise powerful people to fight and defeat the forgotten God who is currently in the Void trapped by the other 6 gods and thought to be corrupted."
Hearing him, the man's smile widened a little.
Mark then added "But that is only my opinion. Nobody knows the true reason behind the spell's creation. Also in my theory the spell is in its final stage because the current world the spell infected is the final realm of the 6 original realms. "
"Hah…" the man sighed. "So the spell is in its last stage. And in all 6 realms it chooses you." The man said with a disappointed look.
"Elder, may I know the reason behind my first nightmare being in the Void" Mark asked, bowing his head a little.
The man sighed and said nonchalantly "The person you are talking about is me. And you need to kill me to escape from this nightmare.'
Mark was scared out of his wits. If what the man said is true that he is the forgotten god and Divine Titan, and his fist nightmare objective is to kill him, A god.
Seeing him turn silent the forgotten god reassured him "You don't need to worry about fighting me. All you have to do is kill me, nothing else. This is just a clone that holds my sane consciousness. Me in the Void is the corrupted version of myself." As he threw a sword in front of Mark and said "Pick it up and stab me boy."
The sword was pitch black and looked as if a deep abyss was shaped into a physical sword form.
Mark was startled seeing the sword then nervously picked the sword. As soon as he took the sword in his hand it turned into small light particles and went into his body. Then a faintly familiar voice rang in his mind.
[A Divine Memory has been Claimed--God Killer.]
Mark was startled hearing the spell.
He looked at the man and said with a nervous tone "Elder if you don't mind may ask something?"
The man answered in an even voice "okay since you are the last person I will be seeing, ask what you want to know?"
"What is the true goal of the spell's creation and why do you want to die?"
The man turned silent for a second then answered "To answer your first question, the creation of the nightmare spell is to find qualified individuals and make them strong enough so they can seal the Void once again like we gods did before."
The man said again "And to answer your second question it's because my friends and descendants might already be dead since the spell reached its last stage. I don't want to be left alone and also if I don't die then no one will inherit my powers and the other 6 cannot seal the Void alone no matter how strong they become."
After getting his answers Mark had a faint smile on his face "Thank you elder. For letting me know my actual goal."
The Forgotten god smiled and asked Mark "are you going to kill me or not? Don't wait, I want to quickly rest."
Mark smiled and summoned the God killer in his hand. It was shaped like a sword but not totally perfect. After looking at it he looked at the man with a smile.
"I hope it will be painless for you."
The man shrugged and said "Don't worry about that, it will be an instant kill."
"That's good" saying that he quickly got close to the man and stabbed him in the heart.
The man didn't say anything else and turned silent for eternity.
"Your nightmare is over." He paused, then said, "May you rest in peace."
After a while the spell spoke
[You have slain a Divine Titan, The Dream God.]
