Sukuna narrowed his eyes at the glowing panel before him.
"Integrate?" he muttered.
He wasn't sure what it was. A technique, perhaps? Some new cursed tool being used on him? The thought seemed plausible for a moment, but he quickly dismissed it. He had mastered cursed energy—spent years honing it until he could sense the smallest fluctuations in the air. Something like this should have registered immediately, yet it hadn't.
The silence of the throne room spoke volumes. Uraume, ever attentive, stood by without reaction. If this had been visible to others, Uraume would've said something. That meant only Sukuna could see it.
Interesting.
Amused despite the confusion, Sukuna raised a hand and tried to press the "Yes" button floating before him. His fingers passed right through the projection.
"Hmph."
His eyes narrowed slightly as he thought the word instead: Yes.
The screen responded immediately, flickering to life with confirmation. It worked by thought, then. Clever.
The display shifted as new text appeared, bright against the empty air.
[Integrating... Integrating... Congratulations!]
[You've successfully integrated with the Dimensional Travel System! Would you like to see your rewards?]
[YES / NO]
Rewards?
His brow twitched. Who was offering him anything? For what purpose? Was this some elaborate illusion, a mental trap? Or was the screen truly a conduit of something greater? The lack of answers was infuriating. Still, he was intrigued.
Yes, he thought again.
The screen responded instantly.
[You have three unclaimed rewards:]
1. World Travel:
Grants the ability to travel to a random world within the multiverse. Upon conquering said world, the ability may be used again. Conquered worlds can be revisited freely.
2. Boosted Copy:
The original copy could only mimic cursed techniques. This enhanced version can replicate any ability, regardless of the source. However, only one ability can be copied per target.
3. Boosted All Cursed Techniques:
Your cursed techniques are now enhanced to affect every known power system without restriction.
[Would you like to claim them?]
[YES / NO]
Sukuna let the words settle in his mind. If this was real... then he had just been offered something that transcended his world. Something that challenged his very identity as the strongest.
Other worlds, he thought. Other beings. Stronger than me?
The thought was infuriating—and exhilarating.
A slow grin spread across his face.
"If this is real," he whispered to himself, "then I've found a new goal. To become the strongest in every world."
With a nod of silent agreement, he sent his response once more.
Yes.
[Rewards claimed! Powers being distributed in 3... 2... 1...]
A surge of pain tore through him.
Sukuna gritted his teeth as his body convulsed. Cursed energy flared around him, barely contained. He clenched his fists, endured the agony in silence. Uraume, standing quietly nearby, remained unaware.
Finally, the pain ceased, and the screen flickered once more.
[Status: Alive]
[Name: Ryomen Sukuna]
[Age: 1000+]
[Titles: King of Curses, Disgraced One, Fallen Angel, Imaginary Fierce God]
[Worlds Conquered: Jujutsu Kaisen (Variant)]
[Skills: Shrine, Copy, Ten Shadows, Cursed Speech]
[Inventory: Empty]
[World Domination Percentage: 100%]
[You have completely dominated your world. Would you like to travel to a new universe?]
[YES / NO]
Sukuna stood still, reading each word. It was surreal. Precise. And far too detailed to be a dream.
This system... it's tracking me, he thought. Cataloguing my victories.
But why? Who had given this to him?
'System,' he thought, 'why were you given to me?'
For a moment, there was nothing but silence. Then the screen pulsed.
[The Dimensional Travel System was created by #$%^_ for entertainment purposes.]
Silence again.
Sukuna stared at the screen—and then laughed. It was bitter. Amused. Almost hollow.
He took lives for entertainment. Watched the light leave his enemies' eyes and smiled at their helplessness. And now, some unknown being had taken interest in him—as their form of amusement.
How fitting.
"So I'm the entertainment now," he murmured. "How poetic."
He leaned back, folding his arms as another question rose to mind.
'Can I bring others with me?'
[The user may bring a limited number of individuals to unconquered worlds, depending on the survivability rating. After a world is conquered, travel between conquered worlds with any number of individuals is allowed.]
That brought a smirk to his face.
Good.
Turning his gaze toward Uraume, Sukuna addressed him. His voice was firm, but calm.
"I'll be leaving for a short time," he said. "While I'm gone, make sure nothing happens."
Uraume lowered his head. "As you wish, Sukuna-sama."
He wanted to protest—but he knew better.
Sukuna turned, walking out of the throne room. As he crossed the threshold, he gave the system one final command.
"Now that my land is secure, System... proceed with world selection."
[Confirmation received. Searching for viable world... Searching... Searching... World found!]
[Attempting world travel... Failure.]
[Attempting again... Failure.]
Sukuna paused. That was... unexpected.
Why is it failing?
Just as he was about to demand an explanation, the screen changed again.
[Attempting to summon user as a servant... Success.]
[Transferring all abilities... Success.]
[Beginning dimensional travel.]
"Servant?" he questioned.
But before he could say anything else, the world around him dimmed. His vision blurred. Darkness consumed his senses.
Hopefully... this new world has warriors worth killing, he thought.
And then, he vanished.
Just like that, Ryomen Sukuna disappeared from the world—leaving behind only fear and legend. To all others, he still loomed. His shadow remained long after he had gone, as if daring someone to believe he had truly left.
