Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Reincarnated as a Prince

(Location: Echo Gorge)

"Damn... my stomach hurts."

In the shadow of a tree lay a carefully decorated cloth.

Looking closely, one could see a beautiful baby with large amber eyes, wriggling in all directions and crying.

This child is John Parker, a former medical student, mysteriously reincarnated in the Seven Deadly Sins world after suffering a heart attack.

Why a Seven Deadly Sins world?

The first thing John saw when opening his eyes was a fairy and a giantess with strangely familiar faces.

He quickly realized, or at least assumed, that his new parents were none other than King and Diane.

Unfortunately, he didn't have time to enjoy his new life as a prince.

Barely born, he was kidnapped at night by an unknown fairy in a carefully orchestrated abduction.

Besides this tragic incident, the only thing John still remembered... was the heart attack he suffered on Earth.

"If I keep screaming and crying, someone will eventually come..."

John knew he risked attracting a predator rather than a human.

But he had no choice.

It had been hours since he was abandoned under this tree by that fairy.

"My newborn body is already reaching its limits... I need nutrients, and fast."

His cries echoed farther and farther into the peaceful forest.

Finally, the infant's cries were picked up by a slightly older man, accompanied by a blonde girl of surprisingly large size.

"Did you hear that, Ordo?" asked the youthful voice of the young giantess, troubled by the crying.

The middle-aged man, named Ordo, calmly nodded while picking up a plant from the ground.

"Indeed, Dolores. Sounds like a baby crying."

Ordo was an apothecary who had taken up residence in Echo Gorge valley.

The place, rich in resources, was ideal for his research and experiments in creating new remedies.

Over time, he had come to appreciate not only the environment but also the inhuman creatures that populated this isolated region.

That's why he had decided to settle there permanently.

During this period, Ordo had also taken in a young lost giantess, whom he had adopted as his own granddaughter.

"Look, there... a cloth under a tree."

Dolores rushed toward the fabric, driven by curiosity, and bent down to take a look.

"Oh yes! There's actually a baby inside, Ordo!"

Her exclamation prompted the elderly man to quicken his pace. He quickly joined the young giantess and looked more closely at the cloth placed on the ground.

"Who could have left this little thing here?" he whispered, surprised.

Ordo gently took the baby in his arms. Immediately, the crying stopped, as did the infant's disorderly movements.

A strange calm settled as their gazes met.

For a brief moment, the old apothecary seemed to hesitate, then nodded as if he had just made an important decision.

"You'll be the new member of our family, Nasiens."

And so, John had just survived the most dangerous and strangest twenty-four hours of his entire existence.

...

A few days had passed since Nasiens was adopted by Ordo, an apothecary living in isolation in Echo Gorge valley.

Nothing particularly notable had occurred between him and his new family figures.

At least... until today.

'Yes, yes...'

Nasiens had finally been able to feel the mana, or rather, the magical energy flowing weakly within him, after several days of unsuccessful attempts.

He wasn't doing this on a whim. He knew that exploring magic without books or a teacher was risky.

And yet, he had still taken that risk... because of the possible identity of the place where he currently found himself.

The fictional universe of Seven Deadly Sins.

A world where death wasn't necessarily synonymous with rest, since certain races devoured souls there... or sealed them for an indeterminate period.

However, despite his concerns, he hadn't attempted anything reckless during his little training session.

He had simply focused on his fairy and giant heritage, trying only to feel the magic or awaken an ability linked to his race.

'This man named me Nasiens... that further confirms the identity of my parents, and the identity of this universe.'

He still remembered the Seven Deadly Sins anime and Four Knights of the Apocalypse.

He hadn't read the manga, but it had still allowed him to acquire a fairly solid understanding of fairies' and giants' abilities.

At least, much better than his original counterpart, who remained almost completely ignorant of his genetic heritage for a good part of the story.

'It seems that levitation, like King's, isn't yet possible. Damn.'

He had the feeling that he could succeed one day, with enough training.

But for now...

'I'm... exhausted, suddenly...'

Just this attempt to use this racial ability had drained him of energy.

His infant body was clearly not yet capable of channeling magical energy or supporting advanced techniques.

Result: forced rest.

"Sorry, Nasiens. I'm late for your dinner."

A few hours later, Dolores, the blonde giantess, arrived near him.

'Hmm, he's still sleeping?'

During this period, Nasiens slept a lot.

The repeated use of meditation to feel magical energy drew deeply from his mental reserves.

A naturally scarce resource in an infant.

Dolores sat next to the baby's cloth, then placed the food near her.

She had decided to wait, so as not to disturb the baby's rest.

'Even if he's a big sleeper... he's still a well-behaved baby. Unlike those from my former tribe.'

Her gaze darkened slightly as she thought back to her past, before arriving by chance in Echo Gorge valley.

She had grown up in a relatively ordinary tribe of giants, living off combat and mercenary missions.

A primitive environment, but natural for a race of giants known to be governed by their instincts.

Unfortunately, Dolores was far too gentle and kind for such a place.

'I don't regret leaving, since Ordo and you are the two best things that ever happened to me... but Diane...'

She sometimes misses her old childhood friend.

As nostalgia invaded Dolores's mind, the infant gently opened his eyes.

It was already afternoon.

"Here, drink this. Ordo said this mixture would help you regain energy."

Like Dolores, Ordo had noticed the baby's tendency to sleep much more than normal. That's why he had started preparing slightly energizing meals for him.

'I already feel better... I'll try levitation again after she leaves.'

Without knowing it, the old apothecary was actively contributing to the young prince's self-training.
