Chapter 72 - Chapter-197 Back Attack

Jay-jay's POV

Damn this Percy! He's so persistent! He really insisted on going to that stupid amusement park even though I didn't want to.

"I'll just get my car," he said before quickly running off.

The parking space in front of the Mini Mart was small, so he usually parked far away. That left me standing there dumbfounded, pacing back and forth.

I couldn't stop thinking about what David said. Damn it! The way he made it sound, Keifer did have feelings for me because he was so affected by what David did.

How could that be?! He doesn't have any feelings for me!

He was probably just acting. Give him an Oscar—he could outshine Leonardo DiCaprio. Embarrassing!

Now I was starting to have hope. Hope for something that wasn't even real. Then I'd end up crying again, and my tears wouldn't turn into pearls—eye gunk! It would just be eye gunk!

While waiting for Percy, my attention shifted to a group of guys entering the Mini Mart. They were college students—I recognized their uniforms. They were loud, and they seemed familiar.

"It freaking hurts! When I find that girl, she's dead meat!" one of them said.

"Damn, bro! A girl knocked you down?!" his friend teased.

"You said she's Savannah's friend. Why don't you find—"

I didn't catch the rest of their conversation as they had already gone inside. But the name Savannah made me pause. Where had I heard that before?

Savannah Shane!

Crap! Last night!

Why am I becoming so forgetful? And what's worse—the guy who was talking just now looked like the same one I kicked in the chest.

I'm doomed!

I scanned my surroundings, hoping to spot Percy. Why is he taking so long? Where in the world did he go? I couldn't stay here much longer.

I decided to just go look for Percy. I didn't even have his phone number. Unbelievable!

I was about to leave when someone suddenly grabbed my arm. I shot them a glare, but it quickly turned into shock when I recognized him.

Just my luck!

"Well, well..." the guy I kicked in the chest sneered. "...We were just talking about you, and now here you are, right in front of me."

I yanked my arm back. His grip wasn't that strong, so I easily broke free. I turned to run, but another body blocked my way.

I took a step back and only then realized that they had surrounded me. There were only five of them, but they were all tall. I wasn't sure if I could fight them off, especially since I was already feeling pain.

The pain of a broken heart!

"Where's all that courage now?" the guy I kicked taunted.

He seemed to be their leader—the cockiest one among them.

"I'm not in the mood for an argument. Can you move out of my way?" I said calmly.

"And if we don't?" the guy in front of me replied.

"Then I'll have to force you," I warned, cracking my knuckles.

But nothing cracked, and they all burst out laughing. Damn it! My bones didn't cooperate!

Then, all of them raised their hands and cracked their knuckles at the same time. The sound of bones popping one after another made me gulp.

I was not ready for a fight!

They laughed and looked at each other for a moment. I needed to get out of here. I had no intention of getting beaten up by them.

I looked at them one by one. I chose the one with his back turned to the road.

Taking a deep breath, I quickly pushed the guy I had chosen with all my strength. As soon as he fell, I ran away.

"Damn it! Get her!" one of them shouted.

I just kept running. I didn't know where I was going. I just knew I needed to get away from them.

Damn it!

Where was my courage now? I must have left it at home. This sucks!

I held my head when I suddenly felt a sharp pain. I thought the medicine had completely taken care of it. The pain made it hard for me to run.

I had to stop. I turned into a small alley and hid there.

My breathing was heavy from exhaustion. The rapid pounding of my heart echoed through my whole body.

Please don't let them find me here!

"Where is she?!" I heard their supposed leader shout. "...Find her!"

This is all Percy's fault! He was taking too damn long! All he had to do was get his car, and yet he was making such a big deal out of it. It's not like he was driving a limousine.

At this rate, his car might as well be a hearse—it was taking forever.

I couldn't hear the guys anymore; they must have gone far away. I was about to peek out when I realized I didn't have to.

All five of them were already standing in front of me, panting from running.

"Hehe... Hi there." I said.

Suddenly, two of them grabbed me. They held me tightly and turned me to face their leader.

"You really made us work for it! Did you really think you could hide from us?!" he said angrily, wiping the sweat off his chin.

"What's your problem?! Who even are you?!" I shouted at him.

I knew he was the one I had kicked in the chest. But I didn't really know him. How was I supposed to know who he was?

"After kicking me last night, now you're asking?!"

Just answer him already!

"Huh?"

"This girl is acting all tough! What should we do with her?!" one of the guys holding me asked.

Their leader looked me up and down. He smirked and stepped closer to me.

"What you did last night hurt." He pointed at his chest. "...Let me make you feel a pain you'll never forget."

I took a deep breath.

"Too late... I already have." I said, bored. "...I've already been hurt, and I'll never forget it."

I had already been hurt by the person I trusted and loved.

They all looked confused by what I said. They glanced at each other, as if asking for an explanation.

These guys are slow!

While they were busy trying to figure out what I meant, I felt the grip of one of them loosen. I immediately yanked my arm free and delivered an uppercut straight to his jaw.

Ippo Makunouchi!

I quickly turned to the other guy holding me. He looked shocked, and it took him a second to realize my fist was already coming toward his face.

He let go of me and collapsed instantly.

Their leader was furious. I don't know why, but suddenly, I saw my old classmate in him. It felt like I had gone back to the days when I used to fight in Holy Saints High School.

"You picked the wrong person to mess with." I said, my voice lifeless.

I stepped toward them, and they instinctively stepped back. My body was heating up, as if craving more.

I wanted this fight. My body was searching for the pain and thrill of a real fight. That strange mix of fear and excitement surged through me.

"Damn it!" their leader yelled and suddenly lunged at me.

Before he could even throw a punch, I delivered a powerful kick to his chest. He crashed down next to his friends, writhing in pain.

I turned to the two remaining guys. They kept stepping back every time I stepped forward. Their faces showed both fear and anger.

Just like before!

My old classmates who used to go against me—yet in the end, they were always the ones who lost. I never liked fighting against groups because it was too difficult. After all, I was still a girl.

Fragile, weak, and easy to break.

Maybe that's why that guy was able to play me like a fool.

Damn it! I remembered him again.

My fists clenched tightly, the grip growing even stronger as the pain I felt mixed with anger.

"You idiots!" I shouted and charged at the two of them.

But men really are idiots. They both shoved me away.

THEY PUSHED ME?! Damn it! I'm a girl! They shouldn't be pushing me!

"Damn it! Why are you pushing me?! That hurts, you know!"

"This girl must be crazy!" one of them said.

Your face is crazy!

"Hey!" someone suddenly shouted.

We all turned to look. I only had one thing to say—his timing was perfect.

"Why did you push my sister?!" Percy asked angrily.

"Maybe you should check what she did to our friends first?!" one of them retorted sarcastically, pointing at their fallen companions.

"So what?! That doesn't give you the right to push her! She's a girl!" Percy reasoned as he walked closer.

See?! We have the same logic!

I just stared at Percy, but suddenly, his expression changed. From looking irritated, his face turned serious as he shifted his gaze toward the two guys.

I don't know why, but... I saw him.

That damn King! The way Percy looked at my enemies and how he slowly approached them...

"Per----." I didn't even get to finish his name before he spun in the air and landed a kick straight to the face of one of the remaining guys.

I don't want to say his name, but... that was so Keifer!

Now only one guy was left, and he looked like he was about to cry. He didn't know whether to run or collapse on the spot. Even I couldn't move—I was too amazed by what Percy had just done.

I shouldn't be thinking this, but it felt like I was seeing three different people in him. Sometimes he was like Aries, sometimes like Yuri, and now, Keifer. He was even a little like C-in sometimes! The three guys who had hurt me the most seemed to merge into one.

Percy had his own personality, but if I kept seeing them in him... should I start keeping my distance?

While he was busy dealing with the last guy, I quietly started walking away, making sure he wouldn't notice.

Something felt different. I wasn't comfortable. They weren't exactly the same, but... I don't know. I really don't know. I think I'm going crazy—

Argh!

Something suddenly struck the back of my neck. I collapsed straight to the ground, my body weakening, unable to get back up.

I tried to see who did it, but my vision was darkening fast. The last thing I heard before everything faded was a voice.

"Nice! We got his girlfriend!"

Percy's POV

Where is she?!

After helping her with those guys, she suddenly disappeared. Where could she have gone?

I walked around the area where I last saw her, but there was no trace of her—not even a shadow. I really need to buy her a new phone so I can call her. I can't contact her using her current phone. Because I know there's something wrong with her phone!

I went back to the Mini Mart, but she wasn't there either. I was starting to panic. This is not so fvcking good!

"Where are you?" I muttered to myself.

I quickly returned to the place where we fought earlier. The guys we had fought were no longer there. I even ran further away, but she was nowhere to be found.

I ran into three kids, so I immediately approached them, hoping they had seen Jay-jay.

"Hi, can I ask you something?" I said as I approached them. They looked scared because I suddenly got close.

Seriously? With a face this handsome, you're scared?!

"I just want to ask if you saw a girl around here earlier. She was wearing a high school uniform," I explained, but they didn't respond.

"...No?"

They still didn't answer, so I quickly took out my phone and showed them a picture of Jay-jay.

"This girl—have you seen her?" I asked again.

I saw their expressions change. They even leaned in closer to my phone, as if trying to examine Jay-jay's face carefully.

"That's her!" one of them suddenly exclaimed. "That's the girl we saw!"

"W-where did you see her?"

"Over there!" one of them pointed in the direction I had just come from. "...She was asleep!"

Asleep?!

"Yeah, that's her! Some guys were putting her into a van!"

What the fvck?!

"Thanks!" I said and immediately sprinted back to my car.

The moment I got inside, I dialed David's number. I needed help. There was no way I could find her on my own.

Who were they? Who put her in that van?

Yuri's POV

I miss her!

She hasn't been coming to school for days. I want to see her so badly, but I can't even bring myself to go to her.

I want to give her space first. I know she's still hurting from what we did. But if she doesn't come back, what will happen to her studies?

I looked at her old seat, still empty. My gaze immediately shifted to Keifer. He had gone back to his usual self—his eyebrows furrowed deeply, arms crossed, staring blankly into space.

You're pitiful, Keifer! You're tormenting yourself so much!

I turned my eyes to the front and saw David and C-in talking. The two of them are always together now. It's like they've distanced themselves from the whole Section E because of whatever they're planning.

I let out a deep sigh. If only I had realized my feelings for her sooner. If only I had the courage to go against Keifer. If only I had told her back then. Maybe things wouldn't have turned out this way.

We all regretted it now. We were all struggling. We all turned our heads toward the door. Because suddenly, Percy walked in?

"Hey, David!" he said angrily. "...Why aren't you answering my calls?!"

David gave him a puzzled look and took his phone out of his pocket. "It was on silent, sorry."

Percy was panting and visibly restless. He looked completely frantic and uneasy.

"What the fvck are you doing here?" Keifer asked calmly but with authority.

He finally speaks!

Percy ignored him. He ran his hand through his hair several times before suddenly snatching David's phone.

"What's wrong with you?" David asked.

Percy tapped on the phone for a moment and put it to his ear. It looked like he was trying to call someone.

"Fvck!" Percy shouted and threw the phone back to David in frustration.

"What the hell is going on with you?" David asked again.

"Jay-jay is missing." His quick response sent us all into a panic—except for Keifer.

"What?!"

"Maybe she just went somewhere!"

"Oh, maybe she went home!"

Percy shook his head, looking like he couldn't believe what was happening. He paced back and forth.

"You were with her! How do you not know where she is?!" I snapped at him.

He suddenly turned to me and pointed a finger at my face. "Don't fvcking lecture me!"

"What exactly happened?!" Felix asked.

"She just suddenly disappeared… I was finishing up the fight she started, and when I turned around, she was gone." Percy explained, clearly frustrated.

She got into a fight?! This is not good.

I looked at Keifer, whose expression remained unchanged. It was as if he didn't care at all about what was happening. As if he didn't care about Jay-jay.

"You're not even going to do anything?!" I asked him angrily.

He glanced at me and slowly stood up. Without a word, he threw his phone at me and walked out of the room.

"I already know where she is," he said before completely stepping out.

I looked at his phone, and a text message immediately greeted me.

From: +639*********

Message: We have your precious girl. Same place in 30 minutes or you'll find her naked in our bed. Haha.**

I gripped the phone tightly. Another message came in—it was a picture of Jay-jay, unconscious.

Damn it! Why now?!
