Chapter 2 - New World: Fantasy World!

Chapter 2

After the comment and distasteful question, the room suddenly grew more colder and oppressive; Jacob was handed back to one of the maids that was there to help with his birth.

The disappointment of the man who had just insulted him was not something he needed to see, since after handing him back; he just turned away to the other direction.

He was obviously pissed off and that is an understatement, the right word to use was disgust; not even a single person bothered to ask the man, why did he just label his own son a 'thing'. Knowing very well that he was his first and only son.

The man stood still with his arms behind his back; his hands were a little bit creepy with long nails and the colour of their skin was pale, he was even wearing a long black coat that reached his shoes.

Jacob's new beautiful mother's face had changed from happy to being saddened, not understanding why would her so-called husband call their son a 'thing' still feeling the after pains of giving birth.

She got out of bed, wore her robe and went to him, she stood next to him and had a conversation that no one could make off; but from the way they were talking... It's a clear indication that it wasn't good.

After a few moments, the man just left her standing there; not wanting to be seen crying she turned and faced her newly born son, who was just cooing and looking so helpless.

She probably thought it was a good thing that he still didn't know what was actually going on; needless did she know that she was mistaken.

Her new beautiful and innocent child was no ordinary child, he was a simple seventeen year old who mysteriously got reborn in a new world.

Right after his father left and his servant was closing the door behind him, Jacob managed to sneak peek and see exactly who this guy was, and why would he even call him a 'thing'.

That's when he realised who that man was and when he did, his heart just sank and all the emotions he felt were just flooding in the same time.

To him, it really felt like he was going through puberty once again and from what he'd recall he knew that wasn't fun.

Everything now made sense on why did everything seem so familiar from the old castle from the early years of the 1700s to the most beautiful youthful woman who was now his mother.

He was no longer in an ordinary world like his previous world, he has been reincarnated in a new world; a world of magic and wars of different kind of magical beings.

'Bloodline Chronicles' that's where he was now living, it wasn't any ordinary world... This one was different; actually it wasn't a real world, it wasn't supposed to be either way.

It was a fictional place with fictional characters and world, meaning that this new world of his was a novel; a novel that he used to read each and every single day of his life.

There wasn't a moment that would pass without him reading it; he was a major fan he'd buy almost every volume the moment that it would go on release.

But like all good things coming to an unwanted end, when the novel was at its peak and breaking records; the author suddenly went quiet and stopped releasing more chapters and storylines.

Though he was unknown and usually wrote his work under an anonymous pen name, it was as if he had just disappeared in the face of the earth.

Being insulted and called a 'thing' didn't hurt so bad like the first time he heard it, actually now that he understood who was the person who called him a 'thing' and since he was smart enough to know why.

He just simply stopped caring at all.

All that he had to do was accept his new reality and title that was going to follow him for the rest of his life, as long as he lived there.

The man who just insult him was none other than Drake Valak, he was one of the main antagonist of the series; through out the series from the begging to the very end. He was known as the most powerful and ruthless king.

Drake, was believed to be the reason why all of the magical beings didn't even get along; the Valak Clan, thanks to him was known the whole entire world.

This was a clan led by a man, whom most even considered a demon himself. And he deserved that title; because even though Drake was nothing but a vampire, he still wasn't an ordinary one.

He was a kind of vampire that was feared by other vampire clans and there were like six powerful vampire clans that existed in the world of 'Bloodline Chronicles' but Drake and the Valak Clan ruled over those clans.

The novel portrayed him as the kind of vampire that would even rival the power of the first vampire himself. Vlad Dracula, as the story progressed it claimed that as legend would tell.

Drake was actually Vlad Dracula's mere slave would he would work and overwork, and initially abuse and torture... Until one day that Drake had; had enough and there he did something to Dracula something unforgiving and unforgettable.

The vampire race was considered the antagonists of the whole novel, because all they did was conquer kingdoms; devour innocent lives to the point that demons that resided there were even afraid of them.

But like most stories there are always a group of people who would rise against the odds and become heroes, who were known as Hunters; a group of individuals who were immune to the vampires and all magic beings and slaughtered them in disgust.

It is believed that even after the first war ended the hunters tried to make peace treaty with the vampires, on the verge of being successful the Valak Clan destroyed that in seconds.

As he killed and slaughtered each and every single one who was taking part of that treaty, he didn't care whether it was a vampire or not; he just killed them all in cruel manner.

Knowing the story very well, Jacob knew that he was actually born to a new war, the third war called the Blood War; this war was the war that involved everyone from vampires to demons, each one with their own agenda and goal.

The reason he was called a 'thing' was because he didn't have the special attributes of what the heir of the Valak Clan was supposed to have, not that he was utterly useless.

He did have some special attributes, but they weren't at its peak; even if he were to try and reach that level it still wouldn't matter because, he'd still obtain half.

After all it's not like even in his new life he was a full fledged vampire, he was a half vampire; born under the first wife of the Valak Clan, who wasn't special in any kid but a mere healer and her name was Sharon and Jacob was her only first and last son.

For someone who was bound to experience such cruelty and hatred towards him from his own family to his own species, none of that really mattered... Yes, he left a family in his previous life but it's not like they really cared about him or anything he was always overshadowed by his older siblings.

So knowing what kind of a man his father was, he held no love towards both his old and new father.

What brought him comfort was knowing that Sharon was going to love him the way that he is, because from what he could remember from the novel unlike Drake or the second wife of the Valak Clan; she was kind and thou she didn't have children of her own she loved her sister wife's children like they were her own children.

Since there wasn't anything about Sharon giving birth in the book, this meant that things were changed due to his birth.

As the number one fan of the book, it wasn't no secret that he was looking forward to see how the novel progresses; he was going to experience it first hand.

He was so super excited he didn't think about the possibility of the plot changing completely.

And the only arc that he was looking forward too, was meeting with the protagonist of the series; she was the same age as he was here in the novel and she was so powerful that before the book got dropped.

She was so close on ending the vampire race, especially the Valak Clan; since she had dealt with the demon race first.

That scenario quickly changed from excitement to gloom, as he realised that since he was weak, if the protagonist were to erase the vampire race; he was the one who was going to die first.

Not that it would matter to his so-called father, family or even his race.

He knew and had to accept that his life was going to be short lived.

Just as he mourned his own life in advance. He heard an unfamiliar sound.
