Ren's hand worked tirelessly with newfound energy as he wrote down equations, theories, whatever his mind could think of at the moment, he worte it on the already full board.
His brain was refueled by Ren Yue's words, he poured all his knowledge into thinking of something, something that can solve what he's been stuck on for years.
"If it's actually true that the world denies me the last piece, then I'll make one myself, I was never one to back down that easily." He muttered with excitement filling his blue eyes.
His thoughts and theories have always revolved around finding something that already exists, something like a link or a rift, one weak enough to let him try and go through or harness it's powers to go through.
Now, he took a different approach, one that revolves around creating that rift or link, in theory a rift can exist if the world allows it or the laws were bent and manipulated enough to do that.
So, going by that, he needed to find a way to bend those laws, or a force that can manipulate those laws into his liking so that he can connect to another world.
Hours passed, with Ren still writing and theorizing, notes were taken, books were opened and thrown around.
His mind raced between knowledge of quantum mechanics, astrophysics, and even strange old myths and legends.
After more time passed and some things started to make sense, he started noticing a pattern, a symbol to be exact. The symbol was found in almost all the ancient texts and sometimes even in modern ones referencing them.
"This.... This thing, this symbol, pattern or whatever it's called, it appeared at different times, places, cultures, till this day even, but somehow, nobody noticed, and that's surely not normal in any way whatsoever."
*Knock knock*
He heard a knock on the door and turned to look, it was his sister, Ren Yue, who just woke up.
"You're still awake? Why haven't you slept?"
Asked Ren Tianyu.
"I should be asking that question, the sun has risen and you're still at it? You seriously need to sleep."
He looked outside only to see that the sun has truly risen and was shining it's light endlessly.
"Heh, who cares about sleep when I'm this close, this close to finally figuring it out."
He turned back to look at her.
"Show me." She went to where he was frantically writing.
"Look, look at this pattern, you can see it here ,here, here, here, you can find it in almost all the anomalies that happened in history, the ones that couldn't be explained. It's like it's telling something, but also staying stuble at the same time.What if they're not just symbols or patterns, It's like, it's like instructions....."
"A blueprint.." continued Yue.
"EXACTLY! A blueprint or instructions for creating "the frame" that I need and told you about."
"But that's.. insane, almost too far fetched."
"Yes, but not impossible, it's too coincidental. Give me time, I'm very close, I can feel it, a breakthrough is close, one that would change it all."
Out of nowhere, a thunder hit close, and clouds started forming out of nowhere.
They both were surprised, then, Ren continued and only Yue felt something unusual, ominous even.
"Just, just don't forget," she hummed "some things are hidden for a reason." and left the room to make lunch for them both.
Ren paused for a moment, taking in what she said to heart, but his excitement didn't die down, he felt his dream too close, the dream he had for years was finally reaching somewhere.
