Chapter 26 - Detective JoeGad

He decided to do some digging, to see if he could learn more about JoeGad's past and his intentions. Alex pulled out his phone and started searching for any information he could find about JoeGad.

As he scrolled through social media and online profiles, Alex's eyes narrowed, his mind working overtime to piece together the clues. He was determined to get to the bottom of things, to make sure Alyssa wasn't getting herself into something she might regret.

As Alex continued to research JoeGad, he stumbled upon an article that made his eyes widen in surprise. According to the article, JoeGad was the heir to the Parker Conglomerate, a powerful and influential business empire.

Alex's mind reeled as he processed this new information. He had to admit, he was a bit intimidated by JoeGad's family connections. The Parker Conglomerate was known for its wealth and success, and Alex couldn't help but feel a little insecure.

He wondered if JoeGad's wealth and family status might be a factor in his interest in Alyssa. Was JoeGad's attraction to Alyssa genuine, or was he just drawn to her because of her personality?

Determined to get to the bottom of things, Alex decided to talk to Alyssa and share what he had learned. He hoped that together, they could figure out what was going on and make sure Alyssa was happy.

As he walked down the hallway, Alex's eyes scanned the crowd, searching for Alyssa. He spotted her chatting with some friends and made his way over to her.

"Alyssa, can I talk to you for a minute?" Alex asked, his voice low and serious.

As Alex approached Alyssa, he asked, "Alyssa, can I talk to you for a minute?"

Alyssa turned to him, a curious expression on her face. "What's up?" she asked.

Alex hesitated for a moment before sharing his discovery. "I found out that JoeGad is the heir to the Parker Conglomerate," he said, trying to sound nonchalant.

Alyssa's reaction was not what Alex expected. Instead of surprise or concern, she burst out laughing. "Oh, Alex, I already knew that," she said, chuckling.

Alex felt a bit embarrassed, realizing that he had been the last one to find out. "Oh, well, I guess I'm a little late to the party," he said, laughing along with Alyssa.

Alyssa smiled at him. "Don't worry about it, Alex. I'm just glad you're looking out for me."

Alex nodded, feeling a bit relieved that Alyssa wasn't taking his concerns seriously. "Yeah, I just want to make sure you're okay."

Alyssa's expression turned thoughtful. "I appreciate that, Alex. But I think I can handle myself around JoeGad."

As Alyssa and Alex continued to chat, JoeGad appeared out of nowhere, watching them with a thoughtful expression on his face.

Alyssa and Alex were completely absorbed in their conversation, oblivious to JoeGad's gaze. Alex turned to Alyssa with a questioning look. "What's going on with you and JoeGad?" he asked.

Alyssa shrugged. "I don't know, we're just getting to know each other."

Alex raised an eyebrow, but Alyssa didn't seem to suspect anything out of the ordinary. She was completely unaware of JoeGad's true intentions.

Alyssa and Alex continued to chat, unaware of JoeGad's motives. JoeGad, on the other hand, remained lost in thought, his eyes fixed on Alyssa.

As the minutes ticked by, Alyssa and Alex continued their conversation, discussing everything from school to their favorite TV shows. JoeGad remained in the background, observing them with an intensity that was almost palpable.

His eyes never left Alyssa's face, and his expression was a mix of curiosity and contemplation. He seemed to be studying her, trying to figure out what made her tick.

Alyssa, on the other hand, was completely at ease, laughing and joking with Alex as if they were old friends. She had no idea that JoeGad was watching her so intently, or that he was trying to unravel the mystery that was Alyssa.

As they chatted, Alex couldn't help but notice JoeGad's gaze, but he didn't say anything, not wanting to alarm Alyssa. Instead, he continued to talk to her, trying to keep her mind off JoeGad's strange behavior.

The scene was quiet and uneventful, but there was an undercurrent of tension that only JoeGad seemed to be aware of. He was waiting for something, but what, only he knew.

As the conversation continued, Alyssa and Alex started to discuss their plans for the weekend. Alyssa mentioned that she was thinking of going to the movies, and Alex suggested a few films that he had been wanting to see.

JoeGad's gaze remained fixed on Alyssa, his eyes never leaving her face. He was fascinated by her carefree nature, and he found himself wanting to know more about her.

As Alyssa and Alex continued to chat, JoeGad's thoughts turned to his own life. He was used to getting what he wanted, when he wanted it, but there was something about Alyssa that was different.

He couldn't quite put his finger on it, but he felt a sense of excitement and anticipation whenever he was around her. It was as if he was waiting for something to happen, but he didn't know what.

The tension in the air was palpable, and JoeGad's intensity seemed to be building. Alyssa and Alex, however, remained oblivious to the undercurrent of emotion, lost in their own conversation.

Just as JoeGad's intensity seemed to be reaching a boiling point, a voice interrupted the silence.

"Hey, JoeGad," a girl said, approaching him with a confident stride.

JoeGad's gaze finally shifted away from Alyssa and Alex, and he turned to face the newcomer. Sofia, a stunning girl with long, curly hair and bright blue eyes, smiled at him.

"Hey, Sofia," JoeGad said, his expression relaxing into a charming smile.

Sofia's arrival seemed to break the spell that had held JoeGad's attention captive. He turned his full attention to her, and Alyssa and Alex were finally free from his intense gaze.

As JoeGad and Sofia started talking, Alyssa and Alex continued their conversation, unaware of the subtle dynamics that had just shifted. JoeGad's focus was now on Sofia, and Alyssa and Alex were just background noise.
