Chapter 35 - Chapter 35: Xing: Turns Out I'm the Villain?

Underworld, inside Natasha's clinic.

March 7th, Xing, and Dan Heng sat side-by-side on a sickbed, each wearing a different expression.

March 7th sighed first, glancing sideways at Xing, who was intently staring at a trash can outside the clinic.

"Xing, aren't you worried about Fu Zhu at all? The three of us managed to escape Belobog thanks to that Sampo fellow, but Fu Zhu is still up there! And he's on the front lines, where the Silvermane Guards are most numerous! They say there are countless Fragmentum creatures out on the snow plains too."

Hearing this, Xing paused, then pinched her own cheek and muttered softly, "So you're saying, if something unexpected happens to Big Bro, I can inherit his room? Then I won't have to sleep in a cardboard box anymore?"

March 7th was stunned speechless by Xing's outrageous remark for a long moment before finally managing a retort.

"Can't you just tidy up your own room?! Do you really have to snatch Fu Zhu's bed?!"

Dan Heng, listening to their conversation nearby, shook his head helplessly. "This isn't the time for jokes. We really need to figure out a way back to Belobog to find Fu Zhu quickly. Even if he's strong, facing the soldiers of an entire city, accidents can still happen."

Xing, however, folded her arms with complete confidence. "I trust Big Bro's abilities. Besides, haven't you seen those amazing little gadgets he has? If he runs into someone he can't beat, worst case, he just digs a hole on the spot and burrows down! Who knows, maybe he's already somewhere in the Underworld looking for us right now?"

"Let's hope so."

Regardless of the situation, Dan Heng and the others were currently powerless. Moreover, the whereabouts of the [Stellaron] were still unknown. Before returning to the Overworld, it would be best if they could gather some clues about the Stellaron.

"In summary, we have two objectives now: first, rendezvous with Fu Zhu as soon as possible; second, find clues related to the Stellaron. Do you have any suggestions?"

Xing and March 7th wracked their brains but couldn't come up with any good methods or directions.

Dan Heng wasn't too disappointed; he hadn't held much hope for these two anyway. It was just a pity that the only reliable one, Fu Zhu, had lost contact with them.

"If you're looking to gather information, you might want to meet with Oleg of [Wildfire]."

Just as the three were worrying about what to do next, Natasha, whom they had recently met, walked over and offered them a direction.

Dan Heng thought Natasha's point made sense. Seeking out the largest local organization was an excellent choice for gathering information.

"Then, Ms. Natasha, could you perhaps introduce us to this Mr. Oleg?"

Natasha smiled and nodded. "Something just happened in the Underworld's mining area, and Wildfire is currently overwhelmed by it. If you could go over and help them resolve the situation, I believe Oleg certainly wouldn't refuse to provide you with some information."

"Great idea! Dan Heng, Xing, let's go! Let's quickly get the information and meet up with Fu Zhu!"

....

On the outskirts of the mining area, Xing and the others found Seele and Bronya confronting a group of robots.

Seele glanced back, saw Xing's group approaching, and gave them a faint nod.

"You're here?"

Xing pulled out her baseball bat, gripped it tightly, glanced at the robots blocking Seele and the others, and couldn't help shouting.

"Don't be afraid, Seele! I'm here to help!"

Then, she swung her baseball bat and charged towards the cluster of robots. This stunned both Seele and Bronya. The former quickly stopped her.

"Hold on, what's the rush? We're still negotiating! Although I'd love to start fighting too, don't mess up Uncle Oleg's business!"

Stopped in her tracks, Xing had no choice but to lower her baseball bat and rejoin March 7th and Dan Heng. The three of them looked in unison towards the middle-aged man standing at the forefront of the crowd.

Oleg frowned, staring at the two-to-three-meter-tall robot before him, his tone somewhat hostile.

"We discovered this mining area first. Why are you obstructing our normal mining operations? Is this also an order from Svarog?"

"Response: According to Big Boss Svarog's calculations, if this Geomarrow mine is exploited systematically according to its plan, it can sustain the Underworld's energy supply for 231 days. However, if handed over to you for exploitation, it can only sustain supply for 113 days.

Conclusion: Individuals without permission from Big Boss Svarog are prohibited from mining this area. Humans, this place has been taken over by us. Leave immediately!"

"Absurd!"

After hearing the robot's reply, Oleg couldn't help but roar furiously. He then raised his hand and pointed towards the Geomarrow vein, of which only the upper half remained, suspended in mid-air.

From afar, one could vaguely see a figure placing blocks beneath their feet, raising themselves step by step to continue mining the upper section of the vein.

"Is this what Svarog calls planned exploitation? This mining area was discovered less than two or three days ago, and you've already mined it all! It looks to me like you're trying to hoard it all for yourselves!"

The lead robot turned its head to look at the distant figure. Its system seemed to momentarily freeze, but it quickly recovered.

"He possesses authorization from Big Boss Svarog, permitting any form of exploitation."

"Then get him over here! I want to hear exactly how you plan to exploit it!"

Oleg felt like his heart was about to explode with anger. He had initially been overjoyed upon hearing about the discovery of a new ore vein, as it could provide new jobs for many people and make everyone's lives a little better.

But less than three days later, the entire vein had already been mined out by someone else!

Seele also angrily tightened her grip on her scythe.

After hearing the exchange between Oleg and the robot, Xing, March, and Dan Heng silently exchanged glances and drew their respective weapons.

They had a feeling that talks were about to break down, and they would have to resort to physical persuasion.

In just a short while, Fu Zhu arrived, following a small robot, his expression somewhat displeased.

"What's going on, what's going on? Someone's disturbing me while I'm mining my own family's mine? Ah... you guys..."

As soon as Fu Zhu arrived, he immediately spotted Xing, March 7th, and Dan Heng in the crowd.

Dan Heng's heart skipped a beat. He couldn't help covering his face and muttering under his breath.

"I have a feeling things are getting increasingly complicated..."

So the person monopolizing the ore vein... was one of their Nameless?!

March 7th was also completely bewildered. After a long pause, she turned to look at Xing beside her, about to say something, only to find Xing taking tiny steps through the crowd, smoothly gliding over to Fu Zhu's side, and tilting her chin up in sync with him.

"Who dares to covet our Old Fu family's mine vein!"

March 7th & Dan Heng: ???

Oh no. Turns out we're the villains!
