Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: No Technology from the Redstone Family is Weak!

"Me?"

Fu Zhu paused for a moment, but quickly thought of the several stacks of Geomarrow in his pocket. In his hands, Geomarrow could be converted into MC Redstone Blocks.

And the property of Redstone Blocks in MC is very simple: once placed, they perpetually activate all mechanisms within the Redstone signal coverage area around them.

Applied to reality, the most game-breaking aspect is the Redstone Block's unending supply of energy. And the Furnace Core Svarog mentioned was having problems precisely because the Geomarrow's energy supply couldn't keep up.

Seeing Fu Zhu thinking, Dan Heng leaned closer to Fu Zhu's ear and reminded him.

"We still don't have the Stellaron's whereabouts. Svarog's database might hold some information. Fu Zhu, if you really can solve the Furnace Core problem, and if it won't trouble you too much, you could give it a try."

From the perspective of the Express crew, Dan Heng rather hoped Fu Zhu could help the people of the Underworld. But how could the energy supply problem for a Furnace Core capable of powering an entire underground world be easy to solve?

If Fu Zhu felt it was too difficult, he would rather take his companions and leave directly. Worst case, they return to Belobog and secretly infiltrate Cocolia's room to search for clues.

Since Cocolia turned against them after learning they came for the Stellaron, she must know something.

"It's not difficult, exactly. It's just that the price I need to pay is a bit high."

Fu Zhu's gaze flickered towards Svarog, who immediately understood.

"Your solving the Furnace Core energy supply problem aligns with my mission to preserve humanity. It is reasonable to compensate you. You may state your requirements."

Fu Zhu nodded and gestured to Dan Heng, "Dan Heng, you talk to Svarog. I've also gathered some clues about the Stellaron myself. We can consolidate them later."

"Alright."

While Dan Heng and Svarog were talking, Fu Zhu planned to go ahead and solve the Furnace Core's energy supply issue. Since Svarog was busy, the best person to lead the way was naturally Clara.

"Clara, do you know where the Furnace Core is?"

Clara nodded obediently, pointing outside the house, "Big Brother, the Furnace Core is right next to the Robot Settlement. Clara can take you there."

"Okay, thanks for the trouble." Fu Zhu ruffled Clara's little head, and Clara cooperatively nuzzled her head against Fu Zhu's hand.

Afterwards, Fu Zhu looked towards Xing and March 7th, "What about you two? Plan to stay here with Dan Heng, or come with me to solve the problem over at the Furnace Core?"

Xing and March 7th stood up immediately without a second thought.

"We'll go too!"

Although Dan Heng's matter here was important, sitting aside listening to his serious conversation with Svarog was boring. Plus, they were also curious about what the Furnace Core device, capable of heating the entire underground world, actually looked like.

"Alright, let's go together."

Just as the group of four got up, ready to leave, Oleg spoke.

"Please wait a moment, Mr. Fu Zhu."

The four turned around, puzzled, looking at Oleg whose expression was slightly awkward.

Oleg coughed lightly twice, then bowed slightly towards Fu Zhu with a sincere attitude. Seele, beside him, saw this and quickly stood up, also bowing towards Fu Zhu.

"My sincere apologies, Mr. Fu Zhu, for misunderstanding you earlier. The Furnace Core is related not only to Svarog but is also vital to us residents of the Underworld. Whatever you need, please just tell us directly. We will do our best to help you achieve it."

Since the start of the three-way discussion, Oleg realized that their side seemed to have been constantly acting as the instigators of conflict, unlike Svarog and Fu Zhu who were doing their best to solve the Underworld's problems.

Although Svarog's attitude and plans didn't align with the lifestyle Wildfire hoped for, it was genuinely working towards the goal of preserving the flame of humanity.

All this made Oleg feel incredibly guilty. So he wanted to help in any way possible, rather than just sitting idly by, waiting for others to help them.

"Help, huh..."

Fu Zhu rubbed his chin, feeling a bit troubled.

To be honest, telling Svarog earlier that repairing the Furnace Core required a huge price was just a tactic to gain more benefits for his side.

In reality, fixing the Furnace Core merely required him to toss in some Redstone Blocks and Redstone Repeaters, which was enough. And these things only needed him alone to operate. Even March 7th and Xing were just invited along because they seemed bored.

"Wildfire, then... go look for new Geomarrow veins. Or ask Svarog if there are any other Geomarrow veins nearby."

Fu Zhu dropped this sentence, and without waiting for Oleg's reaction, took the three girls and walked straight out of the villa, heading towards the Furnace Core's location.

With Clara leading the way, Fu Zhu and the others didn't walk for too long. After just seven or eight minutes, they could see a colossal metal structure standing tall within the cavern.

With every step closer to the Furnace Core, the surrounding temperature rose slightly. It was fortunate that the insulation measures outside the Furnace Core were quite thorough; otherwise, the surrounding temperature might have reached over a hundred degrees.

Seeing sweat starting to bead on Clara's forehead, March 7th thoughtfully placed her hand on Clara's forehead, using her power to cool her down.

Clara felt the cool touch on her forehead, looked up, and gave March 7th a sweet smile.

"Thank you, Big Sister March 7th."

"You're welcome~"

Xing retracted her gaze from March 7th and Clara, pinching her chin as she stared at the massive Furnace Core before them, muttering, "This doesn't look like there's a problem. Insufficient energy is something we can't really fix, right? Unless, bro, you can create something from nothing."

"You actually hit the nail on the head with that."

Fu Zhu took out Redstone and connected the Furnace Core to a stone lever, temporarily shutting it down. Only then did he pull out an iron pickaxe and strike the Furnace Core, Clang!, until he had dug out a passage two meters high and one meter wide. Then he turned around, holding a Redstone Block in his hand, presenting it to Xing, March 7th, and Clara.

Xing looked puzzled at the Redstone Block radiating a gentle glow in Fu Zhu's palm. Could this Redstone Block, barely the size of her palm, really provide more energy than Geomarrow?

"Bro, will such a tiny piece really work?"

"Of course! This is genuine, bona fide infinite energy!"

The properties of Redstone are remarkably simple and unadorned. It lacks flashy abilities, possessing only two easily understood powers: infinite energy and triggering any machine!

But that is precisely where its greatest strength lies!

After briefly explaining the Redstone Block's capabilities to the three girls, Fu Zhu walked into the Furnace Core holding it, placing it onto the central power supply module. Then he looked up at the Furnace Core, dozens of meters high, took out a crafting table, and placed it to the side.

Redstone is powerful, but its signal only travels 15 blocks, meaning 15 meters. The farther the distance, the weaker the signal.

To be safe, he needed to add some Redstone Repeaters to the Furnace Core to reset the Redstone signal's strength.

The materials for Redstone Repeaters were also very simple, requiring only Redstone, two Redstone Torches, and three Stone blocks – materials Fu Zhu could craft on the spot.

After busying himself for a short while, Fu Zhu successfully crafted the Redstone Repeaters. He casually slapped one onto the ground nearby, preparing to link them up with Redstone.

Before Fu Zhu could even start laying out the Redstone lines, the phone in his pocket – which hadn't had a signal since arriving on Jarilo-VI – suddenly rang.
