Ron didn't show any sign of consciousness for a month straight. All this time, Ela took care of him in the mansion, while Ren looked all over the world for Neu and Nue's locations. Sam spent his time learning more about the magical world in the library.
"Why aren't you waking, Ron? I'm starting to lose hope. Please wake up. Your body, it has recovered fully. Those wounds would've killed a normal person, but here you are, all healed, within just a month. Please, wake up." She prayed with tears in her eyes. She was sitting next to Ronin when someone grabbed her hand. "Ela? Is that you?" Ron grunted in a weak voice. His eyes were still close. "Ron? Are you okay? You woke up! Sam! Ren-sama! He's up!" Ela shouted in excitement. He opened his eyes to see Ela, Sam and Ren standing next to him. Welcome back, Ronin." Ren said. "Where am I?" Ron asked. "The Wisteria Mansion." Ren replied. Ron suddenly stood up and asked, "What happened to Nue? Did he die!?" He asked in an aggressive tone. "Sadly, no. He retreated with deep wounds. You fainted. It's been a month since that happened." Ren explained. "And I was in a coma for a whole month!? Shit! How did he even retreat? I remember his being in immense pain as those wounds were way deeper than mine. It was lightning magic which nullifies the ability to heal and destroys the body cells. How did he even live?" Ron grunted. "He's cunning. He tore off a wyvern's wing and his head to heal himself. The art of body implementation." Ren explained. "Argh! Fuck him, that bastard. Running away is all they can do! I just wish I didn't gave this curse. I need to get my powers back. I need to finish him. This world doesn't deserve their menace. I have to kill them somehow." Ron grunted. "Calm down Ron. This isn't you. What happened to you?" Ela asked. Ron was never aggressive and so hostile towards anyone ever. As if, his personality suddenly changed all over. It felt like he was a completely different person. "I need to somehow get my MIGHT and the others back." Ron said and tried to stand. To his disappointment, he fell down hard. "Yo! What are you even doing? You were down for a whole month. How do you expect your legs to handle all of your weight suddenly?" Ren grunted. They helped Ron up the bed. "Heal your wounds first. Your legs have also sustained damage. They are also broken. Rest now." Ren said as the three left.
"What was that about?" Ela asked. "What?" Ren seemed confused. "What happened to him? This isn't Ron. He changed. What's up with this sudden personality change? That urge to kil. That deadly aura of his. Even we both can feel it." Ela asked. "I get what you're trying to say. The person we talked to right now wasn't really Ron, but Ronin. Well, technically, he was Ron, but he wasn't. Urgh, these concepts are so hard to explain." Ren gasped. "Take it easy, Ren. I'll do the explaining." Someone said from behind. "Grid? How come you're out of his body?" Ren asked. "We'll I'm still connected to him. He's asleep so I thought this would be the perfect time to introduce myself and explain the situation to the two of you. Ren knows everything, but as he said, explaining stuff isn't his forte." Grid said with a smile on his face. "So, I'm a devil. Let's start with the basics. Ronin is cursed. It all started many centuries ago. That night, he and his master, a god-human hybrid were fighting the betrayers, Neu and Nue. Now this question arises, who are these two dicks? Before this battle occurred, three days before to be exact, an oracle occurred. I remember it word by word. 'In the realm of destiny, it is foretold that your ultimate fate shall be determined by the hands of a prodigious pupil who was once under your tutelage. He'll be the end of you both.' This oracle was meant for Neu and Nue. It meant that, a student of theirs will be their end. Neu and Nue brought this upon themselves when they made a contract with the underworld. Gods weren't happy with this and wrote their destiny. Neu and Nue knew that none of their students were strong enough to kill them at that point. To avoid their written destiny, they decided to kill each and every one of their students themselves when they still can. Though, their plan was heard by someone. Ronin's master, who was the disciple of Neu and Nue. He made it his goal to stop this from happening. The only one who could've helped him achieve this goal was Ren. He was gifted with immortality and strength way beyond imagination, but unfortunately, he was out on a mission. The only other person he could rely on was Ronin. He was an orphan that Akira, that is, Ronin's master, found at the bank of a holy river. As soon as he picked the boy up, an enormous amount of aura pushed him away. Akira was amazed. The aura coming from Ronin was really bright, but at the same time, really dark. He had unimaginable strength and powers and if they fell into the wrong hands, it could lead to the end of the world, so Akira decided to adopt him and suppress his powers using Godly grail. He took him to his mansion where he was taken care of. Ronin was a fast learned though had no control on his powers. Even though he wasn't able to use his powers fully, he still was on par with Ren who was the strongest human. He was also Akira's student. When he was 5, he helped a god, disguised as a small wolf cub, hiding from deadly demonic tigers. Ren fought and killed those tigers, who were five times biggen than him. He nearly lost his life that day, when the god healed him and blessed him with the powers he now possess. Back to the main story, so Akira told Ronin about the plan. The two decided to face Nue and Neu at 'The Edge of The Dawn.' It was a holy place with magical aura. When Akira and Ronin left for the place, Neu appeared and hid behind a wall, suppressing his magic. He overheard Ronin's and Akira's plan and headed straight to Nue. That night, Neu and Nue killed each and every one of their students." Grid explained. "How come Ronin is still alive then?" Sam asked. "Patience is necessary Sam. Learn how to be patient in life." Ren poked him. "When Akira and Ronin reached The place, to their surprise, Neu and Nue were already there. I remember witnessing the battle. The zero sense of regret on Nue's face, enraged Akira. He flew towards Nue to attack him while Ronin sprinted towards Nue with his Katana. "Flee Ronin. I'll let you live." Neu stated. Ronin stood persistent and tried to slash Neu. He used magical element to attack him and even teleported behind him to slash him but it was of no use. Neu pushed him back when Ronin threw all his katanas up in the air, merging them to form his shield. He then took out The Might and stood in stance. The Might is a legendary sword, whose origins are unknown. He used lightning and water magic together and used The Might to send slashes towards Neu. They were fast enough to give neu a deep cut, enraging him. While this happened, Akira and Nue fought. All of his attacks were in vain and didn't work on Nue. He had to step back and use Arrow of Deity. A ginormous arrow made of might that steams off anything it touches. Nue tried to back off, but the arrow was so big that it couldn't be dodged. He knew that this attack would banish them to the underworld but not kill him. SO, he turned into a demon, using his powers and pierced Akira with ten dark blades. On the other hand, Neu used dark magic to seal off most of Ronin's powers, cursing him to die and take rebirth, until he kills Neu, the curser. He also cursed his powers in such a way that he would lose them every time he takes birth. The deity arrow hit Neu and Nue, banishing them to the dark world. Godly banishments are really powerful. Combined with someone's dying curse, it makes them far stronger. As Akira was dying, he was able to curse Neu and Nue to never return back from the dark world and be sealed there. His death made the curse unbreakable. Akira died on the spot while Neu and Nue disappeared. Ronin lost most of his powers to that curse and fainted. Luckily, I wasn't banished from Ronin's body. From that day, Ronin spent his life, known as the Lost Assassin. His powers were lost, but his will to change the world for the better never faded. He even created a city, which was free from any kind of evil for people to be safe. His weapons scattered all around the world after he died. Every time he took rebirth; he made positive changes to the worlds. He never prioritized finding his powers back, but to make the world a better place. In the last rebirth, we became friends. We both prioritized fighting evil to protect manhood. Even without his powers, this guy was the real deal. We did try once or twice to look for his powers but were unsuccessful. So that's the story of Ronin." Grid explained.
"I wish I wasn't on that mission that day. If only I'd been there, Akira sensei wouldn't have died." Ren replied in grief. "This all happened with Ron?" Sam asked. "Well, is his previous life, yes. He is the same person who experienced all those things." Ren replied. "He's gone through so much." Ela said with tears in her eyes. "And still stands strong to fight evil." Sam added. "So, what's the plan now? What are we going to do?" Ela asked.
"We'll find my other weapons first. The three Katanas, my daggers, and finally, The Might. I'll then use The Might and The Unbreakable Shield to summon my powers back. As soon as that happens, I'll go straight for Nue and Nue's head." Ronin said. He was listening to them all along. "You're.... standing." Ela exclaimed. "Ah yes, they healed." Ronin replied, standing at the doorway. "Let's get them back then." Grid smirked.
