"Tadao! You've returned. How was your journey? Looks like you made some friends along the way." Tadao's grandfather welcomed them. "So, he's, my grandfather." Tadao said. Ronin noticed a bracelet in his left hand. "Kid, your aura, it's familiar. I have a bad memory so I can't really remember where it is from. Do I know you?" He asked. "Looks like you're still hanging onto the bracelet I gave you ages ago! Working well for you, Samao Seki?" Ronin smiled. Samao got shocked as his eyes tore up. "Ronin-sensei!? It's you! You're back sensei!" He exclaimed. "Someone's really old!" Ronin said. "I might be old, but this body still holds the powers bestowed upon by my ancestors." Samao exclaimed. "I would like to test that. Let's see what you both got. Seki's are well known for their duo fights right? First, it was you and your father, let's see how the grandparent grandson duo works, come at me together! Let's see if you still kept the heritage alive!" Ronin chuckled. "Stop, don't you think we should rest for now? We've been on a long journey." Ela interrupted. "Who might these young fellows be, sensei?" Samao asked. "They're my friends from the human world. We've been on a long journey." Ronin replied. "You should take rest for now as it would've been exhausting. We'll fight in the evening." Tadao said. "Very well. Works for me." Ronin exclaimed. Samao asked his servants to prepare rooms for the guests. Suddenly, Ela ran outside. Ronin rushed behind her as she stood at the gates. "What happened Ela? Why did you run out?" Ronin asked. "Nothing, I just thought someone was outside the gates, looking at us." Ela explained. "Don't worry, no one's there. It's just your imagination. Come on now, let's go.' Ronin reassured. "She's started to sense them. If this continues, she'll develop more and will be able to differentiate between them and us completely. I think it's her only." Ronin grunted, worrying about her. "Don't worry. There's a reason why all of this is happening. She has those powers and will eventually learn how to control them. It's for the best." Grid replied. "That's the part I'm worried about Grid. I don't know if she'll be able to take it, and she could hurt anyone if not taught the right way. I cannot teach her because our sources completely differentiate at the moment." Ronin stated. "Let's just wait for now. We'll go with the flow and see what happens." Grid replied. "I do have a plan." Ronin said as he explained it to Grid. "Okay, that's a good plan. I think it'll help her for sure, but its quite dangerous." He replied. "Don't worry. These powers can be controlled, and we have some trustworthy people around us at the moment. The moment it's on the brink of going berserk, we'll suppress her powers. I can do it right now, but in the coming future, it'll become harder for me to do so if I don't get my powers back." Ronin explained.
In the evening, everyone assembled on a ground just behind the Seki mansion. "This ground was a gift from Akira-sama to our family." Samao explained. "A plain ground as a gift?" Ela asked. "This is so nostalgic. I remember training you here, Samao. Akira sensei gifted this to your great grandfather." Ronin exclaimed. "I still remember how he was so excited at such an age, that he started with the construction of the rink here." Samao exclaimed. "Rink? I don't see a rink?" Ela asked. "Yeah, it's still here?" Ronin asked. "Yes. Though now, only one person can summon it, that is, the head of the Seki family." Samao explained.
"Through the light of the all-seeing, I command thy to summon as thy master calls" Tadao chanted. The ground started shaking and a huge stadium appeared from inside the ground. "There it is. Now you understand the gift?" Ronin asked. "Yeah, got it." Ela exclaimed. "Let's take positions now, shall we, Ronin-sensei?" Samao smirked. Ronin nodded and stood in his position. The stadium was really huge, spreading around 5000m2 in area. Grid's shadow appeared out from Ronin's body and stood in between as a referee. "Alright then. Both sides ready? Let the match begin!" He announced. Both the teams rushed towards each other. Samao teleported in front of Ronin to punch him when Ronin looked him straight in the eye, smiled and said, "You're still very slow!" He easily dodged his punch midair, and using air as a surface, he pushed himself away from Samao, kicking him on his face, sending him flying. He nearly barged into the arena walls when Tadao grabbed him. "That's how you're gonna beat me? Nah, it ain't happening in a hundred more centuries." Ronin taunted them. "We'll see!" Tadao said as he rushed in towards Ronin, when suddenly, he teleported right behind him with his fist covered in lightning magic. "Not many can teleport. This magic is special to your family. Unfortunately, it isn't enough to even touch me, kid." Ronin said. With an enormous speed, he rushed behind Tadao and kicked him on his butts. Ronin's speed made it look like he teleported. "We can't beat him like this. We have to attack together. We're known for our dual techniques. Let's show him our true powers!" Samao said as he explained his plan to Tadao. "Looks like things will take a turn here. It'll be fun!" Grid exclaimed. "What do you mean?" Ela asked. "Seki family has been blessed by the gods with some powerful attributes. They have powers like teleportation, dark/light magic manipulation, summoning magic etc. all in their genes. Many others can perform these magics, but they have to train to learn them while Seki's don't have to do that. From birth, they can use them with precise control." Grid explained.
"Combined power of the lord, dark/light magic, demi-god sword!" Samao and Tadao chanted. Their bodies merged into each other, combining into one person holding a black sword with white handle, surrounded by white ribbons. "The demi-god sword and Seki combination, now the fun begins!" Ronin exclaimed as he unsheathed his Katana and chanted, "Full body equip, true lightning magic." His whole body electrified as an invisible lightning armor covered him. His Katana took the form of an electrified whip. "Bring it on!" Ronin exclaimed. The two ran towards each other. Seki duo's speed gradually increased while Ronin suddenly vanished. He appeared in front of the Seki duo, catching them off guard. He then vanished again, appearing right behind them.
"Mind this, he's not teleporting. This is his speed. Not to mention, if he had all of his powers, he can easily be faster than light itself." Grid smirked. "Faster than light?" Sam gasped. "The speed of light is 3 x 108. Now according to my calculations, which are never wrong by the way, his speed would easily be ten times faster." Grid explained.
Ronin appeared behind Seki duo and used his whip to attack them. The whip electrified them so bad that they fell down and disconnected. Ronin switched off his armor. "That's your power? What's up with that incomplete transformation? I wanted to see the Seki!" Ronin grunted. The two stood up, merged again into a completely different person. "There you go, now I can fight freely!" Ronin exclaimed. "I won't be defeated like this!" Seki shouted. He swung his sword at light speed at Ronin, which hit him sending his flying. He defended himself in time with his Katana. They teleported right in front of him and swung the sword again. Ronin didn't have enough time to dodge so he took the attack up front, blocking it again with his Katana. This caused a huge blast. Grid, being in his shadow formed, morphed into a ball, and covered Ela and Sam, protecting them from the blast. Samao and Tadao disconnected and fell back. Ronin removed the smoke, uninjured with a smile. "They need more practice when they're Seki. They merged the light and dark magic to attack me, causing the explosion. But other than that, they still did great." Ronin stated. He picked them up and took him to Grid. "Let them heal and wake up. I'll be back in some time." Ronin said as he rushed out of the stadium into the forest. "What happened to him?" Sam asked. "I'll talk to him." Grid said as his shadow formed disappeared.
Ronin returned a little late from the forest back to the mansion. He sat on the roof alone and didn't eat anything. "It's chicken wings! How did he not eat any?" Sam gasped. "I'll take some with me whilst I talk to him." Ela said.
"Hey Ron. Did you try these wings? They're so goof!" Ela exclaimed. "I'm not in the mood to talk right now. Please give me some space and leave me alone." Ronin grunted. "What's up with that attitude? Calm down. You know you can vent, right? Bottling it up won't solve the problem and will only hurt you." Ela replied. "You wouldn't understand. I'm not Ron, Ela." Ronin said. "I don't care if you're Ron, or Ronin. I'm always there for you. Try me! I'll listen to you." Ela said with a smile on her face. "How can you smile like that? How can you be so calm when you know we're on the verge of death here? If Nue and Neu somehow manage to come here, we're done for. These worlds are done for! And there's a huge possibility that the demons who I've sealed previously, who I wasn't able to kill, they'll all come back just like those two. I won't be able to protect anyone! I fought Seki and the blast took a toll on me! I need to get my powers back. I'm so tensed, how can you be so calm?" Ronin grunted. "So now it's all about getting stronger? Stop with this selfish attitude. Stop with putting everything on yourself! I'm smiling right now just for the fact that I want you to smile. I can't see you sad. Nobody's asking you to protect them! You will defeat them, have some faith. Everyone believes in you. You're on a journey which isn't easy. You will surely get your powers back, but it will take time. Make sure not to forget yourself or why you decided to get your powers back in the process." Ela said with some tears in his eyes. She stood up to leave when Ronin held her hand. "Thanks Ela. Thanks for being there for me, even though all I was thinking about was my powers. I know this isn't just about me. I'll not let this power hunger end your Ron, even. Thank you." He said. Ela turned red as he got her hand free and ran away. "What did I say wrong though?" He thought.
Ela reached her room and closed the door. She was panicking. "What the heck? Why is my heartbeat so fast right now? Why did I get all red? I can't have feelings for him! No! That's simply wrong! No, I don't love him, obviously, haha. It's just that everything happened so fast, and I didn't have time to process it. Yes, that's what happened. But what if I actually fell for him? No no no no!" She grunted as he tucked herself in the bed, blushing hard.
"Can we really do that? If that's possible then I can finally assist him without the need to take over his body. Then we'd have a chance to defeat Neu and Nue!" Grid exclaimed. "Ahem." Ronin coughed as he entered the hall. "Oh, so you're back." Grid said. "We were just talking about a technique by which he could physically help you in battles without taking over your body. Maintain a physical form is hard for Gird-san so this technique will surely come in handy." Tadao explained. "That's interesting. By the way, within an hour from now, You, Samao, Grid and I will leave in search for my katana. It's close!" Ronin stated. "What about those two? Shouldn't we take them with us?" Tadao asked. "No, it's already too much from them to handle and if they're not around and someone ambushes us, we can be offensive without the need of thinking about saving anyone." Grid replied. Sam overheard their conversation. "How can they leave us behind? That's simply wrong. We aren't a liability. We'll fight alongside them! Come, Ela!" Sam grunted. "Do you really think it's a good idea to follow them? They're not wrong. We are a liability." Ela replied. "Come on! We can fend for ourselves. Remember the equipments we were gifted? We can use those!" Sam exclaimed.
After an hour, Ronin and his team left for the search while Sam and Ela rushed behind them.
