Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: That Young Man

First, what I want to say is that this story will follow the manga and part of the anime, which means the main events will be followed firsthand. If you don't like that, you're welcome not to read it.

This story will not be a harem; it will have only one romantic partner, meaning just one woman. Although, I haven't decided who yet.

With that clarified, let's begin this story.

A young man with yellow hair was walking through the streets of Karakura Town until he arrived at a park where he saw a child sitting alone on a swing. He decided to approach him.

"Hey, kid, are you okay?" the young man asked.

"I'm waiting for my friend, but she hasn't arrived yet," the child said, looking a bit sad.

"She might have been delayed a little. Maybe she overslept," he said, trying to cheer him up.

"You think so?" the child asked, looking at him.

"Of course," the young man said, patting his back.

"What's your name?" the child asked.

"I'm Alexander Sterling," he introduced himself. "And what's your name?"

He looked to his side, but the child was already gone.

"Huh?"

He looked around, trying to find him, but the boy was nowhere to be seen.

"Huh? WHAT?! Kid! Kid!" he shouted, searching everywhere for him.

He started looking for the boy, but he couldn't find him.

"What happened to him? This is weird… where did that ghost go?" Alexander wondered.

He kept thinking about the child, but let it go and headed toward Kurosaki Clinic.

After a few minutes, he arrived at the clinic.

"Good morning," Alexander said.

"Ohhh, Alex-kun! Always on time! Very good, never miss a day," said a black-haired man.

"Good morning, Isshin-san. Is Ichigo still asleep?" Alexander asked as he felt something grab his arm.

"Of course, he is. He doesn't wake up unless I go in with my incredible moves," Isshin said.

"You should change that behavior. Otherwise, he'll keep kicking you," Alexander told him.

"Alex-nii!"

Alexander felt his arm being grabbed even tighter, and when he turned, he saw Yuzu looking slightly upset.

"Oh, sorry, Yuzu-chan," Alexander apologized as he patted her head.

"Alex-nii, Ichi-nii hasn't woken up yet. So, come eat with us," Yuzu said, now happier.

"Alright," Alexander agreed.

He walked with Yuzu while Isshin went off to wake Ichigo.

In the dining room, Karin was already eating.

"Hey, Karin-chan," Alexander greeted.

"Hey," Karin greeted back.

'Cold as always, that's normal,' Alexander thought.

"Ichi-nii takes forever to wake up. He should be more like you," Karin said while eating.

"Everyone is different. You can't expect him to be like me, though he should wake up earlier," Alexander replied.

Just then, a loud thud was heard, signaling that Ichigo had finally woken up.

"Well done! If you keep this up, you'll surpass me soon!" Isshin was heard saying.

"You should stop doing that," Ichigo responded.

"And they've started again," Alexander said while eating what Yuzu had prepared. "This is amazing."

Both of them went to Karakura High School without any trouble.

"What class do we have now?" Alexander asked.

"Physical Education," said a brown-haired young man. "I don't want to go."

"That's because you always mess up the exercises, Keigo," Alexander said.

"That's a lie! I do them right, but Professor Kagine always makes us do more because you finish them early!" Keigo shouted.

"If you trained, it wouldn't affect you as much," Alexander replied.

"I'm not going to! You should just do less!" Keigo complained.

"Alright, let's make a deal. If you beat me in a race, I'll do fewer exercises. But if you don't, you'll have to deal with it," Alexander proposed.

"Deal!" Keigo shouted.

"You do realize you just made a bet against Alexander, right?" said a black-haired young man.

"I know! But I plan on winning, Mizuiro!" Keigo said, determined. "I've never been so confident in my life!"

"You're going to make us all do more exercises," Ichigo said.

During P.E. class, Keigo lost within seconds, forcing him to do an immense amount of exercises after Professor Kagine saw potential in him.

When classes ended, everyone went their separate ways.

"The teacher keeps making us do more exercises. I'm sure he'll get scolded for it," Alexander said, recalling the strange workouts. "Luckily, I still have time before work."

He saw a vending machine and walked toward it.

"A good coffee will help before heading to work."

Just then, he noticed that the area around him darkened.

"What the…?"

He looked behind him and saw a giant black creature with a white mask.

"Is that a cosplay, or are you a ghost?"

He had to dodge a direct punch and countered with his own, but it didn't move the creature.

"This is strange…"

The creature let out a loud roar and attempted another punch, but Alexander redirected it with his hand and countered with a kick to the ribs, followed by another to the head, making it stagger.

"I don't think this is a cosplay… You're really strange, but…" He grinned. "...this could be fun."

He lunged at the creature, landing a punch on its chest, followed by a relentless barrage of attacks, not giving it a chance to retaliate.

The creature finally fell onto its back, so Alexander jumped and delivered another punch to its abdomen.

"Well, that should do it," he said, stepping away, but the creature struck him, though he managed to block it.

"You're still standing? Then you really are a ghost… I never thought I'd fight a ghost."

The creature got up and went to attack again, but Alexander waited, dodged, grabbed its arm, and used its own strength to slam it into the ground.

He clenched his fist tightly and delivered a powerful punch to the mask, intending to knock it out, but something else happened.

As he struck the mask, it shattered, and the creature began to fade away until it disappeared completely.

"Huh? It disappeared… Did I seriously just beat up a ghost?"

He scratched his head, confused about what had just happened, until an alarm went off.

"Crap! I'm late! Boss Ikumi is going to be mad!" Alexander shouted, rushing off.

He started running to get to work as fast as possible to avoid angering his boss.

He kept running until he finally arrived at his workplace.

"Unagiya Shop… I should change the name," Alexander said.

"Who are you saying should change the name?" asked a woman.

Alexander swallowed hard and turned around, seeing his boss—a tall woman with fair skin, brown eyes, long black hair, and a curvy figure. She wore a white T-shirt with purple sleeves and the name "Unagiya" printed on the chest, along with tight black pants and black boots.

"H-Hi, Boss Ikumi," Alexander said nervously.

"I'll ask again—what did you say I should change the name of?" she asked, grabbing him by the collar of his shirt.

"Hehehe… Is this going to hurt?" Alexander asked.

"Yes."

She grabbed him tightly and threw him to the ground.

"That'll teach you not to be late without notice," Ikumi said, ready to hit him.

"This is gonna hurt," Alexander muttered.

Give me suggestions on who could be Alexander's romantic partner. I'll eliminate those that don't fit the story and hold a vote later.
