It's been a day since my battle— what do you mean it wasn't a battle, are you ridiculing my efforts?— with the Kaijuu angel and as one would expect, the reactions are varied.
The PRT are both happy and wary, apparently A.I girl caught the battle from her satellite but that doesn't matter since I doubt she could pick my threads or spiders since they were invisible or any useful information from it.
This is the first ever endbringer battle where the endbringer was driven off before it even made contact, with also no recorded death nor injuries.
What they are wary about is how there is a cape who is seemingly capable of cutting through an Endbringer like butter without even being present and yet no one has ever heard of anyone with such abilities, it doesn't help that their think-thank is not thinking properly.
I guess it's a scary thing to think about and for all they praise their 'Unwritten Rules' they are actually looking for said cape.
Give me a break.
Presidents and government agencies around the world are making statements of offering rewards and medals to the one who drove off the Endbringer with zero casualties. But surely as you have guessed, it's all propaganda. Everyone wants a piece of me.
If the people of this world knew magic, I'm sure the group called "The Fallen" would have sent me curses and more curses a thousand times over because how dare I desecrate their deity?… how scary, anyway [Rot magic] for every one of you, you should be ashamed of yourselves even in death.

Also, don't these guys basically fit the demon lord army equivalent? They even have the round table as well.

Some of these guys have really ridiculous names don't they? Like for example why would anyone in good conscience choose 'Skidmark' as a cape name? I don't know why and I don't think I want to know either.
"What about Contessa? Did she have anything to say about this?" The other hero present in the room, Alexandria, also the chief director of the PRT asks.
I had to admit, subtly controlling the public perception while also working in the background, she would have definitely fit right in, in The Demon Lord's army, her strength is also an extra bonus.
The doctor sighs "Contessa says the path has not changed" she replies tiredly, she has been cashing out favors trying to find a trail to me without any luck, I'm really sorry for causing you trouble, I bow to the monitor in front of me.
As for the 'I-win-lady' of course the path has not changed, I'm cheating as she is after all, while she basically has cheat codes to a game, I am the adult who takes the pad off her hands and tells her to go touch grass outside.
It's unfair for her but fair for me.

The hero, Eidolon brings his fist to the table "So, what are we suppose to do about this? There is a cape out there strong enough to cut through an endbringer as if it might not even be there and we don't have the slightest clue about them? That's just rich isn't it?"

Oh! Alexandria unexpectedly brings a solution to the table, I wonder what new discoveries they would have made by next week's episod- I mean meeting, next week's meeting.
"You're right, Becca" he sighs "I shouldn't get worked up like that. I will also juggle through powers and see if I can find something to help" he says to her.
Alexandria smiles at him, "Yeah that would help"
"So what about the other cape? The one who took out the dragon slayers and seems to be helping random civilians and stopping odd crimes around the world?" Alexandria asks the doctor and the conversations proceeded to go on its course.

Overall though, the world seems to be going through a festive mood, it's kind of pitiful really because it's not like the endbringer is dead or anything, but they are just happy for small mercies.
I guess a little bit of hope can go a long way huh? And what most of the people living in this world needs. Hope.
But that does not mean the netizens should literally start calling me 'Hope' on online forums you know? Yes, apparently my cape name has been designated as 'Hope' by the majority.

You guys can not see the truth, this is obviously another one of Ziz plots, she injures herself on her way to earth so that she doesn't have to attack on that day, and now she now has one free slot open when she can descend to earth whenever she wants without anyone expecting her, she might even decide to come when another endbringer is attacking. Open your eyes to the truth! … since I would definitely be getting banned again, the last thing I will tell you is that Scion is an alien.

No, no, no I too was surprised as well from his last sentence that I ended up actually tracking the owner of the account thinking it's a person with powers who figured out the final boss' identity, but it was not.
