Chapter 8 - FIGHT!

Hello everyone this is the first time I write a fighting scene st thing are not perfect and you could see it lacking thing but next time I will try to make a better fight.

Mathias felt his blood boil as the flames danced over his body, his scarlet gaze settling on the hooded figures and then on the masked woman.

He continued to examine the masked woman, trying to find a flaw in her defense.

Suddenly, the woman turned her head towards the hooded figures.

"Stay back" she said coldly.

The figures were startled, each of them raising their heads and silently delaying her.

One of the figures spoke, ending his voice hoarse but fearful.

"But we..."

"No buts," she interrupted abruptly.

"You saw right, he survived and regenerated again, which means Plan A has failed, now I'll deal with him personally.

They all bowed their heads and retreated far meters away, then five of them stood in front of the large groupe of man reciting an inaudible formula, a force field then appeared and surrounded the whole group.

The woman redirected her attention back to Mathias, who still seemed to be watching them.

"Surprisingly, I expected you to attack me when my back was turned". She remarked to Mathias.

"I don't attack people with their backs turned, and besides

it would be a pity to kill so casually a human who looks like he could amuse me", he said as the flames from his body grew and then suddenly disappeared and reappeared in front of the woman.

Concentrating his flames in his fists, Mathias struck a powerful blow towards his opponent's masked face, but the blow was parried by his opponent's sword, creating a devastating shockwave.

"Not bad" said Mathias, but the woman didn't reply and immediately one of the crosses engraved on the sword flickered and the sword lit up in a blinding light.

Mathias sensed the danger and immediately jumped back, creating distance between them just in time to avoid an invisible wave that cracked the ground where he stood.

"This is going to be more complicated than i think.", he thought.

Immediately, the woman moved into attack position.

Her knees bent slightly, her body leaned forward, and the tip of her blade lined up perfectly with Mathias's. Then suddenly she disappeared.

"she..."Mathias felt a shudder run through him, sensing danger once again, he jumped backwards, a crack appearing again where he had been, and before he could land another shudder ran through him as he turned his head, the woman was standing behind him, her sword aligned with his head. she leaned forward and her sword lengthened, shooting out in a flash of gold, ready to slash Mathias, still in the air.

Unable to dodge, Mathias... broke his neck and twisted to the side, avoiding the blade which only grazed his cheek.

Mathias landed, then put his blows back in place.

"It's not far off," he murmured.

Sensing danger again, Mathias saw another flash of golden light.

"That's enough" he said, grabbing the sword with one hand, which surprised his opponent.

Mathias' body gave off a burning aura and soon the space around him began to vibrate with the heat of a leap, Mathias hurled himself at the woman with transcendent speed, leaving only a trail of flames in his wake. She tried to retract her weapon, but Mathias leapt in front of her, grabbing her in the face and smashing her to the ground causing the woman drop her Weapon, he lifted her up and sent her flying trough the air, then disappeared again in a trail of flame and reappeared above his opponent and Mathias raised his foot and delivered a powerful kick that sent her crashing to the ground.

"I'm not done yet" Mathias screamed, raising his hands in the air, then a gigantic fireball twice his size appeared above him.

"Disappear!" he shouted as he threw the fireball, which descended so fast like ignoring his size and didn't know how big it was.

Boom!

A gigantic explosion erupted, and Mathias reached out and concentrated his destructive power in its center, where the masked woman was standing.

Only the devastating shockwave left, but the powerful flame and heat were concentrated in one point.

Mathias landed on the ground as he saw a huge crater of flames, and looked away to make sure Miguel's body hadn't been hit.

After all, there were only two reasons why he'd restrained the explosion: the first was so as not to injure Miguel, and the second was that this tactic allowed him to do as much damage as possible.

"I'm done," he said, turning to see the men hidden behind the shaking force field.

Those red eyes glowed and a psychopathic grin spread across his face.

"You'd rather come to me, or you'd rather go the other way" he said maniacally.

Their faces paled at his words. Mathias could feel their fear behind their force field.

He began to step forward, ready to start a bloodbath, but he caught a glint from the corner of his eye as he turned his head and saw the woman's sword - one of the 5 crosses was glowing and the aura it emitted was as intimidating as ever.

"That thing..." began Mathias, but he stopped talking when he noticed that the second cross marked on the sword glowed and then the sword suddenly disappeared.

"Where's that thing___"

Boom

An explosion of light erupted behind him and a pillar of light rose up to collide with the barrier.

Mathias turned and looked at the pillar of light, seeing its origin in the crater, and saw the woman appear from the crater floor.

Her clothes had disappeared, her mask had vanished and suddenly her blond hair began to shine and Mathias saw her face.

Despite a face with harmonious features, she wasn't exactly pretty, and Mathias almost mistook her for a child - she must have been around 18 or 19.She raised her sword in the air and spoke in a loud voice

"Brille sainte Catherine de fierbois "and all of a sudden the third cross on the sword glowed and the light intensified.

"What's this shit?" shouted Mathias, blinded by the light, "and why is she speaking French?

In the crater, the young woman's short blond hair expanded and turned white, while her hazel eyes turned gold and a cross formed in them. A tight-fitting golden dress covered her, and soon she was in fighting form, ready to strike.

Mathias, who had managed to regain his sight, was taken aback by the young woman's new appearance, but he quickly recovered from his shock and swept his arm through the air, unleashing a wall of fire in his path. The young woman didn't flinch, on the contrary, with a simple gesture she swept the air in her turn with her sword and split the flames, then disappeared in a flash of white and gold and reappeared in front of Mathias.

"Explode" Mathias commanded and flames suddenly appeared beneath the young woman's feet, igniting her.

Mathias jumped back, sensing it wasn't going to be that easy, which it was, as the flames dispersed around his opponent.

Mathias created fireballs and hurled them at the young woman. But the woman disappeared in a flash of white light, dodging the fireballs by zigzagging, which caused them to land just as she passed.

"She's looking for a close fight", Mathias remarked, "otherwise she'd have used this technique by now", remembering how the sword could extend.

The young woman reached Mathias and as she swung her sword at his neck, a storm of flame from the sky descended on her, enveloping her, but she sliced through the storm as if nothing had happened and raised her head, expecting to see Mathias retreat again, but he was standing there, his face hidden by his hair.

Then she sensed THE DANGER.

When she met Mathias' gaze, an icy shiver ran through her body, making her instinctively recoil.

"You wanted a close fight" he said, his voice hot and dangerous "then you'll have one" he finished with a monstrous grin on his face.

And soon his white eyeballs, which contained his red pupils, became as black as coal, his ears elongated like those of a demon, and his scarlet aura turned black, engulfing his flames.

Mathias placed his hands in front of him and then the atmosphere changed, it became heavy and overwhelming and in Mathias' hands a blade appeared, a katana whose blade was as black as coal and which gave off a Intense heat.

"Come to me", said Mathias, "I'll show you the despairs", he said, pointing his sword.

The surprised woman regained her composure and pointed her sword at Mathias.

"I won't flinch" she said, but a bead of sweat trickled down her face.

The battle was just beginning.
