Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: NEW SCHOOL

3 day had passed since I watched the tape and began my enrollment at the new university.

During that time, I had been able to continue my investigation.

All I knew about Ruben Atlehi that he was a 44-year-old man married man .

A father of a 19-year-old daughter high profil individual he realy seemed to be a respected citizen on the surface.

I hadn't found any compromising information about him, as if someone had carefully erased anything that could tarnish his name.

But one story intrigued me the most a rumors about the Atlehi Group conducting "trust" operations to buy land for their luxury complexes.

But strangely the journalist Eyama Goto who had written a articule about that, had never been found.

I realized I had to be extremely cautious—one wrong move could make me disappear too.

Onkawa University one of the world's top educational institutions, attracted major companies around the world seeking the prestige of its diplomas.

Tuition cost $100,000 per month.

Yes, you had to belong to the elite to be accepted.

Children of high society—politicians, journalists, athletes, and wealthy businessmen—sent their offspring here.

It was a closed circle, and you might wonder how I managed to infiltrate it.

Well, through a scholarship.

The university only accepted 20 scholarship students out of 500 applicants.

I had been selected.

That afternoon, the campus was bustling; it was break time, and most students were already outside.

Groups were starting to form.

I was sitting on a bench, having familiarized myself with the main students of the university.

My gaze was locked on Saya Atlehi, surrounded by her friends.

At 19, she had long bangs and black hair that fell to her shoulders, often tied in a braid adorned with a ribbon.

Then, a girl sat beside me and said:

"You should stop staring at the untouchable princess."

I turned to see Zoe, a classmate I had exchanged a few words with since my arrival.

She continued to talk to me:

"You know, everyone here admires Saya here besides being an Atlehi, she's admired for her intelligence her role model and not to mention her beauty."

I replied: "Alright."

Zoe went on:

"But be careful with her boyfriend Nikolas. He doesn't hesitate to get physical and brutal with any guy who gets too close to her."

I turned my gaze and saw a tall guy with a bandana on his head, a basketball in hand.

His hairstyle was a bit eccentric, and his intimidating look made it difficult for others to approach him.

At 183 cm with a robust and muscular build, he looked like a real threat.

 He then said:

"So, Saya, are we going to the movies?"

Saya smiled at him and replied:

"No Nikolas, classes are about to start. Let's go after."

Nikolas slightly sigh annoyed, nodded with a "Fine." Then, suddenly, his gaze fixed on another boy.

"Who's that guy over there sitting next to Zoe?"

Saya look into that direction and replied:

"Oh, him? That's the new studdent. I think if i remember correctly his name is Jessy."

Nikolas shrugged with a dismissive look.

"I don't like him."

Saya grabbed his arm and said, smiling:

"As if you could ever like any guy in the group."

They walked toward the classroom. The bell rang, and Zoe said to me:

"Did you see how Nikolas looked at you? He's probably got you on his radar now.

Be careful and more importanly you need to stay away from Saya."

But instead of heeding Zoe's warning, Jessy displayed a strange smile.—not mocking but as if something about the situation genuinely intrigued him.
