Chapter 14.
Dumbledore's heart was also surging with new tides; he didn't expect that Regulus knew quite a bit. He believed that such an intelligent person would know even more over time.
As for the ownership of the Philosopher's Stone, Nicolas Flamel, the creator of the stone, had grown tired of his immortality and had previously expressed his intention to stop using the stone and transferred it to Dumbledore.
"Please believe me, Regulus! This is not a trap set for you."
Dumbledore's attitude became very sincere, wanting to explain clearly that he was not as sinister as the other party thought.
"I understand! However, I still hope you will give me the Philosopher's Stone when the time comes. Regarding my own body, I want to make a comparison through the study of the Philosopher's Stone; immortality is both a blessing and a curse."
Regulus stood up, preparing to leave; this topic was not suitable to continue for now.
"I can wait! I will wait until you feel at ease with me, but I have reservations about your actions, Headmaster. Good night!"
Leaving the Headmaster's office, Regulus Black returned to the Room of Requirement, leaving Dumbledore deep in thought.
The Room of Requirement was now occupied by him and set so that only he could enter.
Upon entering was an octagonal room, with a wall directly opposite the door displaying a Hogwarts crest the size of a door. If one pressed the middle 'H' and pushed towards the four corners, the entire pattern would transform into the emblem of a single house, and this pattern was a secret passage leading to each house's common room.
The other six sides were filled with empty bookshelves and cabinets, with various styles of chairs scattered along the walls. These furnishings had been moved from the Room of Requirement, which was previously cluttered; despite being made from a pile of shabby furniture, once restored and organized, they exhibited a unique style, appearing ancient and elegant.
In the center of the room was a massive square bed. When the bed rose with its four corner pillars, a similarly sized pool appeared underneath, allowing one to simply stand by the bed and turn to enter the washroom for bathing and grooming.
Regulus Black walked towards the left wall, waving his wand to move the tables and chairs aside, placing all the cauldrons he had received today here, the largest of which was the same size as the one used during Voldemort's resurrection.
"Cito crescunt!" The cauldrons could be folded; when laid flat, they resembled a plate, and when pulled upwards, the entire cauldron would expand.
Regulus Black first set up the largest cauldron. "Incendio!" "Aguamenti!"
The goal of brewing basic potions was not Regulus' purpose; he was uncertain about what would be created in this cauldron, but his intuition guided him on what to do.
He remembered that upon returning to the ancestral home, he used the soul potion's lake's undead to brew a group of skeleton soldiers and skeleton mages, while the pile of leftover rotten flesh was used to create a blood servant, utilising a character from another game, LOL... the demon Zac.
Even the name of the system skill had changed to "Demon Zac's Blood Servant."
Now, Regulus Black was preparing to brew the "Clay Servant" from the necromancer system's summoning series.
**Clay Stone Monster**: Summons a stone monster made of earth "ashes."
The materials used were also repurposed; in the Room of Requirement, there was a specimen of a troll, which must have been left stinky and dirty after being made, thus discarded as unusable teaching material.
"Avada Kedavra! Engorgio! reducto!"
With three consecutive spells, Regulus Black chopped the specimen into small pieces and tossed them into the cauldron.
If, as a student, one was graded on the precise formulation of potions, then as an adult potion master, one strived to research new potions. Regardless of the outcome, as long as the potion had some effect and stable efficacy, one would gain countless accolades, a sense of achievement, and rewards.
It should be mentioned that Professor Severus Snape gained a lot of inspiration from the various accidents that occurred while students brewed potions, even formulating new potions.
It is said that on one occasion, a student's potion actually corroded the cauldron, directly penetrating through all the floors of Hogwarts, consuming it entirely after descending over a hundred meters underground, with the potion formula being collected and confirmed by Severus Snape, after which Dumbledore ordered it to be strictly sealed.
The Potions classroom was therefore moved from the top on the eighth floor to the basement.
Based on instinct and familiarity with various potion materials, Regulus Black casually placed potion ingredients into the cauldron.
It seemed casual and careless, but throughout the process, everything was recorded—names of the potions, quantities, times, even the number of times the cauldron was stirred and the temperature of the flames were meticulously noted.
As the potion simmered for a long time, the originally foul odor had long dissipated, and the cauldron now displayed a scene reminiscent of a desert, with slowly flowing quicksand that bubbled up like a normal boiling soup, occasionally producing a sand bubble.
The color changed from white sand to yellow sand, then from yellow sand to gray sand, and finally from gray sand to black grains.
Using a troll's corpse as the main ingredient, along with hundreds of potion materials, this pot of black sand was finally brewed before dawn.
Taking out the [Silver Bone] wand, Regulus Black was ready to finish the potion.
"Now! The final step, Ignis coques!"
Fire Roast Hot Hot is a minor curse that causes any object hit by it to generate heat from within, as if engulfed by lava; when used on a person with the students' magical power, it merely results in rashes all over the body.
However, when Regulus Black [Ignis coques] with all his magical power, the effect would be akin to real lava.
The potion, originally like black paste, was infused with the power of the spell, and threads of flame emerged from the flowing black grains.
A whole pot of black grains surged toward Regulus Black like a black tide, absorbed by the system inherent to his soul.
The icon and name in this position changed from [Clay Stone Monster] to [Lava Behemoth's Clay Stone Monster].
[Lava Behemoth's Clay Stone Monster] is the potion Regulus Black aimed to brew, which is also a type of summoning puppet.
Although the system could only summon one related puppet for necromancer summoning, it directly appeared as a level 7 entity, somewhat compensating for the limitation.
Although the numbers for [Skeleton Soldier] and [Skeleton Mage] were both seven, they would always remain at level 1.
Despite having a built-in cheat system, these rigid limitations still existed, and using them required creating a ritual in the screw shell.
Naturally, this puppet would not be as small as the volume in the pot; since it bore the name of the Lava Behemoth from League of Legends, its size would be standard for a Lava Behemoth.
When Regulus would summoned this puppet in the future, the black grains would automatically merge with the surrounding geology, and a massive Lava Behemoth, as large as a mountain, would rise.
Although there was still some time before dawn, Regulus Black did not need to sleep; as a reanimated corpse, his endurance attribute was already MAX, so sleeping or not was not an issue—his body would not tire, though his mind could still feel fatigue.
Regulus lay quietly on the huge bed, contemplating future plans and the Quidditch match about to start a few days later.
On that day, Harry Potter would catch the Golden Snitch, leading Gryffindor to victory in Quidditch, marking the beginning of the misunderstanding between the three little lions and Snape.
Perhaps he could do something about it.
