In the hallways of a high school, students jostled each other, laughed, and shared stories about their weekend. The sound of lockers slamming shut and animated conversations filled the school corridors.
"... The news about the new white-clad vigilante is becoming more frequent, and his activity continues to intensify. We know very little about his identity, but his actions rank third after the Guardians of the Globe and Omni-Man. His obsession with the Moon is intriguing..."
"Mark, are you okay? Did something happen?" William, Mark's best friend, was leaning against a locker, his phone playing a report made by a hero enthusiast. He look up and watched as Mark organized his belongings in a nearby locker.
Mark didn't respond immediately. He grabbed one of his notebooks and swapped it for his math notebook for the next lesson.

"It's nothing... It's just that I found blood on my brother's clothes yesterday. Do you think I should talk to my parents about it? I'm worried about him..." Mark said, furrowing his brows before closing his locker and zipping up his bag.
"I have no idea, dude. Maybe a fight? You told me he goes to dojos a lot." William replied with a shrug.
"By the way, did your brother drop out of school? I haven't seen him in three months." William asked while scrolling through the news on his phone.
"He quit and is taking classes at home... I don't know how he convinced Mom." Mark sighed, looking toward the end of the hallway.
William put his phone away and was about to start talking about his new video game when a commotion broke out further down the hallway.
"I told you to let me go!"
A dark-skinned teenage girl, wearing multiple bracelets and necklaces, was arguing with another student. Her shout drew the attention of the nearby students, making her the center of attention.
"Why? I heard you were interested in me."
The aggressor, another student named Todd, stepped closer and tried to touch the girl, Amber.
"Hey! She said she's not interested!"
Mark's voice made both of them stop. Todd turned around and glared at Mark.
"I told him not to get involved, but he always has to play the hero..." William sighed, running a hand through his hair as he anticipated the inevitable conflict. Todd was much more muscular than Mark.
"Amber isn't interested, you—"

Hit him straight in the nose, followed by a punch to the stomach.
"Aahh..."
Mark staggered backward, clutching his stomach, before being caught by William.
Todd stepped forward again, but Amber quickly reacted and kicked him between the legs, making him stumble away while hurling one last insult at her before leaving.
"Thanks," Amber said, looking at Mark with gratitude before turning and walking away.
Mark watched her go and mumbled, "No problem."
William placed his hands on Mark's shoulders, smiled, and said:
"That was really cool-"
"WEAK."
A figure floated among the clouds, watching the scene unfold. His white hero suit blended into the surrounding mist, as a gentle wind ruffled his hair.
Hidden by the clouds, arms crossed, he observed the pathetic display.
"Mark, are you really part of my family? You're still on the ground with these monkey instead of rising into the skies... If you can't do it, I'll have no choice but to..."
The figure turned away, glancing in a specific direction as if drawn to something, then took off, creating a sonic boom that scattered the clouds around him.
A red-haired student looked up at the sky, observing the halo in the clouds slowly closing. She frowned at the anomaly before a pink glow formed in her hands.
She hesitated, then shrugged and continued swinging her legs on the rooftop.

In a vast underground room filled with machines and monitors, the beeping of nearby computers echoed through the dark space.
The glow of the screens barely illuminated the objects in the room, revealing the silhouette of a droid.
The droid was analyzing numerous videos, all showing different landscapes: mountains, oceans, deserts... even space.
All these images had one thing in common—one single person.
A man in a white hero suit with black hair... but his face was blurred.
"Again... Again... Again..."
The shadow zoomed in on the images and realized they had never been blurred, It was an unknown technology actively distorting the images in real time for sure.
It's the only logical explanation.

A screen to the right of the shadow changed images, displaying a news broadcast.
The droid glanced at it before turning away.
The report covered the attack on the White House. Nothing significant—except for one small detail.
In the left corner of an image showing Omni-Man saving one of the Guardians of the Globe, a silhouette could be seen sitting on the rooftop of a building.
The shadow ignored the news and continued its research, unaware that it might have just stumbled upon a lead regarding this unknown variable.
