Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 to the death!

"My head…! What the hell kind of punch was that?" Uriel muttered, blinking several times as his blurry vision began to stabilize. His mind was still buzzing, his body heavy as if he were sinking into the soft snow beneath him. The pain reverberated through his skull, but there was no time to worry about that. A chill ran down his spine when he felt something tightening around his tail.

He growled, instincts screaming danger.

"Not this time, you bastard!" Uriel roared, twisting his body with all his strength. His wings snapped open with a sharp crack, displacing the air around him like a whip of cutting wind. The force of his movement was brutal—the blue being was hurled through the air, spinning uncontrollably before crashing heavily into the snow, raising a white curtain around its body.

Panting, Uriel lifted his head, watching as the creature slowly got back up. His eyes glowed in recognition.

"He looks… like a frost giant from the Marvel world…" he murmured to himself, surprise and confusion mixing in his mind. "Could it be that I ended up in the Marvel universe? Yes, it has to be! He's identical to the frost giants from the Thor movies!"

But there was no time for doubt. The battle was far from over. With a powerful beat of his wings, Uriel propelled himself forward, the snow beneath him scattering like a wave of shattered ice. His massive five-meter body advanced like a predator ready to tear its prey apart.

The frost giant roared in response, its eyes flashing with hatred and survival instinct. With a fierce movement, it threw a punch forward, its muscles tensing like steel cables about to snap.

"This time, I won't let you hit me!" Uriel roared back, his draconic eyes burning with determination.

He spun in midair and, with precise timing, lashed out with his powerful tail. The impact resounded like muffled thunder.

[You dealt 70 damage]

The blow made the frost giant stagger back, its feet sinking into the soft snow. Its expression twisted in pain, a guttural grunt escaping its throat. But Uriel wouldn't give it time to recover.

His chest expanded, the air around him growing frigid. Inside his throat, a blue light began to shine, growing in intensity like a star on the verge of exploding. With a deafening roar, he opened his mouth and unleashed a beam of intense blue energy. The blast shot through the air like a freezing lightning bolt, hitting the frost giant squarely.

The impact was devastating. The blue flash illuminated the snowy landscape, casting elongated shadows around the two combatants. The sound of ice cracking filled the tundra's silence.

[You dealt 40 damage]

Uriel frowned.

"Why was my magic damage weaker than my physical damage?" he questioned, frustration growing inside him. But he had no time to reflect.

The frost giant's roar echoed across the battlefield, its body now covered by a thin layer of ice, as if it were strengthening itself against the extreme cold. Its blue blood dripped from its wounded flesh, but its eyes shone with unshakable ferocity.

It would not retreat.

With a powerful step, the giant charged at Uriel, the snow exploding around it like a wave of destruction.

Uriel tried to take flight, flapping his wings forcefully to escape the attack. But in the next instant, he felt a crushing pressure on his tail. His body was brutally yanked downward.

Before he could react, his vision filled with white—he crashed into the ground with a thud that sent snow flying in all directions.

Pain tore through his body like an icy blade.

The frost giant wasted no time. Moving with surprising speed for its size, it lifted a leg and delivered a devastating kick to Uriel's exposed belly.

The impact was like being hit by a meteor. His body was flung like a ragdoll, bouncing off the snow before finally sliding for several meters, leaving a deep trench in his wake.

[You took 50 damage]

The world spun. His chest rose and fell erratically. Every breath was a battle against the searing pain in his abdomen. But amidst it all, something burned within him.

Rage.

"Bastard!" Uriel spat, his voice laced with fury and something deeper—a wounded pride, a primal indignation that burned in his veins like blue fire. "Even if I die, I'll tear you to pieces!"

His eyes glowed like embers. He no longer cared about anything but destroying this enemy.

With a violent beat of his wings, he lifted himself from the snow, scattering frost around him in a storm of glittering particles. His body screamed in protest, but he ignored it.

The frost giant raised its fist again, ready for another attack.

But this time, Uriel was prepared.

He dodged at the last second and, with claws as sharp as blades, dug them into the enemy's chest, tearing through flesh and ice.

[You dealt 150 damage]

The frost giant howled in pain, its body instinctively recoiling. But Uriel didn't stop. He wouldn't give it any room to recover.

Blow after blow, his claws shredded the blue flesh, scattering blood across the pristine snow. Fists collided with his torso, brutal impacts rained down on him, but he felt nothing beyond the thrill of battle.

Adrenaline drowned out everything.

With an animalistic roar, he opened his jaws and sank his teeth into the giant's shoulder. Muscles tore, bones cracked, and with a brutal yank, he ripped off the enemy's arm, taking part of its torso with it.

The once-white ground was now painted in red and blue, colored by the blood of both fighters.

Uriel was a mess of wounds. Parts of his body were torn open, scales ripped away, his belly a sea of exposed flesh, and warm blood flowed uncontrollably.

But he was still standing.

The frost giant, however… was not.

With one final strike, Uriel tore off its head. The monster's lifeless body collapsed with a heavy thud, shaking the ground beneath him.

Uriel stood over the corpse, his limbs trembling, his breath heavy. A crooked smile formed on his draconic face.

"I won, you bastard… Now you're going to be my meal… I just have to dev…"

His words came out as a whisper. His body finally gave out, his eyes slowly closing. The last thing he heard was a notification echoing in his mind.
