"What are you doing here?" As soon as she saw Charles Wellington, all the smiles on Yvonne Logan's face disappeared in an instant, and she looked at him with disdain.
Gwen Ryder was even more furious and cursed loudly.
"What the hell!, you poor and desperate bumpkin actually followed us here? Haven't you been taught enough lessons today?. I am warning you, if you keep bothering Yvonne, I'll call someone to breaks your legs!"
Charles ignored Gwen and just looked at Yvonne.
"Aunt Linda asked me to come take you home. It's not safe outside."
"I know. I'll call my mom. It's none of your business. Just go." Yvonne said coldly, still sitting in place without any intention of leaving.
Charles wanted to say something, but was pushed away by Gwen.
"Did you not hear that? Yvonne told you to leave. Why are you still sticking around? If you don't leave, I'll call the security!" Gwen Ryder threatened.
Charles thought for a moment, didn't say anything else, but instead found a good spot in a corner of the bar to sit down. The spot gave him a good viewing site to monitor everything that happened within Yvonne's table.
Soon enough, Charles Wellington noticed that there were several people not far away, occasionally glancing at Yvonne Logan and her friends.
After a while, one of them got up and went to the bar, said a few words to the bartender, and handed over something.
Then, Charles Wellington saw a waiter holding three glasses of wine, walking towards Yvonne Logan and her friends.
"Hello there beautiful ladies, today is our luxe lounge bar's anniversary celebration. Each of you have the previlege to receive a complimentary cocktail specially made by our bartender. Please, ladies, taste it."
The waiter brought the wine glasses to Yvonne Logan and her crew.
Sara Owen and others politely thanked him.
"Come on, let's toast together, sisters."
"To Sara's acting career."
"Cheers to our Sara, who will soon become the top star in the entertainment industry. And also to our Yvonne, who will soon become the richest person in our city."
"By then, I, Gwen Ryder, will count on you two to take care of me."
Gwen Ryder raised her glass and was about to drink with her sisters.
But at this moment, an arm reached over and directly took the wine glass from Yvonne Logan's hand.
"That's enough, it's time to go back."
Charles said as he poured the wine away.
"What are you doing? Are you crazy?"
Yvonne was shocked. She didn't expect Charles to dare to pour her wine away.
Gwen was even more angry.
"Who do you think you are, you poor and miserable country bumpkin? Does it have anything to do with you whether Yvonne goes home or not? If you don't leave now, I'll call the police and accuse you of sexual harassment!"
As she spoke, Gwen began to make a phone call.
Sara Owen tried to persuade her not to do anything too rash.
"Forget it, Gwen. He didn't mean any harm."
"Aren't you leaving?" Ignoring them, Charles asked Yvonne again.
Yvonne Logan didn't want to talk to him and simply turned her head away. Her cold attitude was undoubtedly the best response.
"Aren't you going to leave? Look, does it looks kk like Yvonne care about you or anything you do?" Gwen sneered.
"Okay, have tried my best. I just hope you won't regret it."
Charles Wellington said as he has obviously lost his patience and turned around to leave after speaking to Yvonne Logan.
As they say, it's hard to reason with a stubborn person.
He had done everything he could, but if the other party didn't appreciate it, there was nothing he could do.
"This fool is really sick in the head! Yvonne, how did Grandpa Pat get so confused and arrange such a marriage for you?"
Gwen Ryder said Looking so disgusted and she quickly called the bartender to bring another drink.
Yvonne Logan didn't want to talk. Every time she thought of Charles Wellington, she felt annoyed.
Only Sara Owen looked at the drink in front of her, lost in thought.
"Sara what's up?, why aren't you drinking?" Gwen suddenly asked Sara.
"It's nothing" Sara said picking up the glass of cocktail in front of her. She then took a sip.
"I have to say, this latest cocktail has a nice flavorful. Yvonne, you should try it too," Gwen urged.
And so, the three sisters all drank from their glasses.
Soon after, Yvonne Logan and her sisters began to feel weak and their vision started to darken.
They felt drowsy and fell onto the table.
"Brothers, let's go!. One person for each, carry them upstairs!"
Seeing Yvonne Logan and her sisters lying on the table, some men who had been watching them in secret rushed forward and carried them to the top floor of the luxe lounge, one person for each woman.
"What do you want to do?"
"Let those ladies go!"
"You're clearly harassing innocent women in broad daylight"
In the bar, a few kind-hearted customers spoke up when they saw what was happening.
But before they could finish their sentences, they were kicked to the ground by the burly men in front of them.
"Tonight's events, I advise you all to pretend you didn't see anything," said the leader of the group of burly men. "Otherwise, you'll offend the Crimson Reapers gang and end up with a very unpleasant form of death!"
When they heard the words "Crimson Reapers Gang," everybody inside the bar shut their mouths and no one dared to say anything. They were all ordinary people, and it wasn't worth it to offend one of Orange County city's most powerful underground forces for a few strangers.
Soon, Yvonne Logan and her companions were all taken to the top floor attic.
"Boss LaGraine, the ladies have been brought over" the lead henchman reported respectfully.
In front of him, two middle-aged men were sitting on a sofa drinking white wine. One of them had a black skull tattoo on his arm. He was the leader of the Crimson Reapers gang, Victor LaGraine, popularly know as the "Shadow king". The other man sitting next to him was the deputy leader of the Crimson Reapers gang, known as the "Grim Reaper."
Victor LaGraine nodded. "Well done. Put them on the bed. You can leave now."
After dismissing the henchmen, Victor LaGraine walked towards the girls.
"I've heard of the reputation of the CEO of the Logan Group, but I didn't expect her and her friends to be so beautiful" he said grinning.
"Man, it seems that we won't be lonely tonight."
Victor LaGraine said to his deputy as he grabbed Gwen's chest and a lewd smile appeared on his face.
"You can enjoy it yourself. I'm not interested in women." The Grim Reaper replied coldly, then sat there with his eyes closed, meditating.
"You're a martial arts fanatic, you don't seem to care about anything else" Victor LaGraine said with a helpless smile.
He didn't pay any attention to his deputy after that. He took out his phone and took a few pictures of Yvonne Logan who was unconscious, and sent them to someone. Then he walked up to her and her friends and picked the prettiest one, tearing off her coat without hesitation.
However, just as Victor LaGraine was about to indulge in the "delicious meal" something heart wrecking suddenly happened.
The closed window suddenly shattered, halting Victor LaGraine from his enjoyment time. First, a gust of cold wind swept through, and then a thin figure appeared in the attic like a ghost.
"Who...who are you? How did you get in?" Victor LaGraine asked as he was terribly shocked.
For crying out loud, this is the sixth floor. How did the other party get in?
Charles Wellington ignored him and looked at the three women who were lying unconscious on the bed, shaking his head helplessly.
"Sigh!, my master owes your Logan family, what can I do?"
After speaking, Charles Wellington looked at Victor LaGraine and said slowly.
"Friend, this girl is the descendant of my master's old friend. Give me face and let me take her away" Charles said pointing at Yvonne Logan.
After a brief shock, Victor LaGraine finally regained his senses.
"You're here to rescue her for the Logan family?"
"Sort of. I'm currently in charge of security at the Logan Group. Naturally It's within my job scope to protect the CEO of my company" Charles replied back.
Victor LaGraine laughed, kind of shocked because of this information.
"Security guard?. I see that Logan family's new head is getting old and confused. He thinks he can save his daughter by sending a small security guard?" Victor LaGraine laughed some more.
"Tell James Logan that I'll borrow his daughter for a night and I'll send her back tomorrow morning. This is just a lesson. If he doesn't obediently hand over the supply contract that Tristan Group wants, then the days of the Logan family will be difficult in the future." Victor LaGraine sneered and spoke disdainfully.
Upon hearing this, Charles Wellington frowned.
"Do you have a grudge against the Logan family?"
Victor LaGraine sneered.
"What? Judging from your tone, do you want to avenge the Logan family?"
"You're right." Charles replied.
Bang!
As soon as the words were spoken, Charles suddenly kicked out immediately.
"Waaahhh!!"
Victor screamed in pain as his ribs broke and he flew out.
Thud!
The commotion in the room quickly caught the attention of those outside.
Soon, more than ten men rushed in.
"Boss, what's going on?" one of them asked.
"Are you blind? Hurry up and get him! He's the first person to cause trouble in my Crimson Reapers Gang headquarters!" Victor LaGraine held his chest and shouted in pain and anger.
With victor's command, the ten or so men picked up iron rods and clubs and smashed them towards Charles Wellington.
However, before these people could touch Charles, they were all mysteriously knocked down by him.
In his anger, Victor LaGraine immediately picked up the phone and shouted.
"Come! Everyone, come upstairs right now!"
The luxe lounge was the headquarters of the Crimson Reapers Gang.
As soon as Victor LaGraine shouted, the members of the Crimson Reapers Gang who were drinking downstairs gathered one after another and rushed upstairs.
Dozens of people soon filled up the room.
"Kill him for me!"
"Yes boss" came the reply of the dozen or so thugs.
A few seconds later.
"I don't believe it. With dozens of members of the Crimson Reapers Gang, we can't even kill a small security guard?!" Victor LaGraine roared.
Looking at his subordinates writhing in a pool of blood, Victor LaGraine's face turned pale.
"Brother... brother, I... I'll give you face. Yvonne Logan, no, these... these three girls, you... you can take them away." Victor LaGraine smiled apologetically, trembling as he handed a cigarette to Charles Wellington.
Charles Wellington shook his head.
"Master once said, when you cut the grass, you must remove the roots. Since it's revenge, we must take it to the end."
Charles suddenly kicked Victor LaGraine again, and this time he fell to the ground, spitting out blood and bile.
"Grim Reaper, aren't you going to make a move?Do you really want to see me get beaten to death first?" Victor LaGraine had no choice but to turn his last gaze to the man who had been sitting on the sofa with his eyes closed, resting.
The man suddenly stood up. His closed eyes suddenly opened, revealing a flash of light that disappeared in an instant.
He looked at Charles Wellington and said.
"Back then, I forced Patrick Logan to commit suicide. So now tell me, young man, how do you want to die?. Is it by suicide, or do you want me to do it myself?"
Charles Wellington's expression turned cold.
"Where you the one who killed Patrick Logan?"
"You're asking too many questions" the man shook his head.
He had lost his patience and immediately attacked.
Bang!
Without any extra words, the man known as "Grim Reaper" threw a fierce punch that hit Charles's chest squarely.
But Charles remained unscathed, not even a hair out of place.
What?
The man was shocked.
