It was hard to believe anything like this could ever make it right for us. After what we saw falling from the dark, starry night sky. It didn't make any sense why something like this would come to haunt Supernaturalville. It wasn't going to make living here any better.
The two magicians were curious about the fallen comet from the sky. They forced the kids from the Halloween party to come after Mom and me. They started gliding in the air as the fog swirled around them. Making their costumes glow from the blotted out sun, made their shadows from their Halloween costume more alive than ever!
Mom and I wished Dad was here to protect us. Suddenly, Mom had a thoughtful idea. She grabbed hold of me. And we opened a storage closet in the hall. And she locked us both inside of the storage closet together.
I felt Mom put a hand over my mouth. As to keep my steady, heavy breathing under control. Hearing the monster children from the Halloween costume party break into our living room window, I knew they would not stop looking until they found both of us.
"What do they want from us?" Mom whispered to me. I couldn't respond. Because Mom kept her hands sealed over my mouth tightly. We could hear the Halloween monster children laughing sinisterly to each other. As they trashed over housing goods. Until they got to the storage closet in the hall.
I couldn't help but stomp on my Mom's right foot. She screamed and let go of me. Mom hopped up and down. Suddenly, we found ourselves fumbling into the dimly lit hallway. Where I found my best friend wearing a creepy clown Halloween costume, standing before Mom and me.
Albert smiled, and winked at me. "Come with us to the Halloween party, Kirk!" Albert suggested as the other zombie controlled kids in the group grabbed hold of Mom and me, hostage.
A girl wrapped in mummy gauges was struggling to keep Mom prisoner. She kept pulling on Mom's arms to keep her from getting away. "Who has time to party on a night like this, Albert?" I asked, suspiciously. I don't think he wanted to pretend anything would make us have fun on a night like this.
Smiling, Albert gave me a great, big hug. "We're celebrating the time of the living undead to come join the Halloween party. Where they want to keep time standing still. Until everybody has a chance to come back to life, to have fun and never get tired," Albert explained.
Could it be possible? To enjoy having an everlasting life again? To walk the earth again, without worrying about life wasting away? I didn't know how I'd felt about hanging around living dead corpses. Who wanted to stay alive and never fear being immortal without their magic to keep them living forever.
It seemed like a good possibility. But I didn't trust the power of the magicians who had connections with the undead zombie king. Who made promises to keep the undead magician's magic strong and all powerful, everyday.
Albert and his Halloween friends started to take Mom and me out of our house. They grabbed hold of us firmly by their strength. They made us climb out of the shattered living room window. Fog swirled around us in the glow of the blotted sun in the sky.
The two monster magicians standing in our front lawn, had their hands high in their air. And they were glowing under the magic glowing darkened sun. They started to hoist Mom and me in the air. And carried us over to the two magicians who pulled us closer to them.
Suddenly, as the Halloween costumed children got closer to the two magicians in our front lawn, they started floating in the air. Making the Halloween costume, kids started laughing and howling at the purple sun in the shadowy night sky.
They roughly tossed Mom and me in front of them as they started dancing and staggering in the glow of the blotted sunlight. Mom and I couldn't do anything to defend ourselves. We watched helplessly as the two monster magicians started floating around us in the air.
Bolts of electricity shot out of their fingers. Lighting up the dark, starry sky. Mom and I turned and looked away from the magicians. But they didn't stop their cult ritual from making them gain power with the force of magic coming from the Halloween monster children. Who were staggering around our front lawn, waiting for instructions from their leaders.
Then, taking a moment to relax their nerves. And to remain calm, the two magicians floating in the air above us, zapped a bolt of electricity at the Halloween costumed kids as they all got electrified from the magician's fingertips!
Mom and I watched horrified as what they were wearing was becoming about them, for real! Albert's clown costume became monstrous. His colorful outfit became more real looking. He grew drooling fangs, sharp animal claws… And a long, reptilian tail out of his costume from his behind!
I didn't watch what was happening to these poor, innocent children, from becoming something they were not meant to be. Every kid who was wearing a monster costume was getting more enchanted by the two powerful magicians who were going to make them learn why they should celebrate Halloween, to begin with.
"Take these two disgusting mortals to the graveyard," said one of the monster magicians to the Halloween cursed costume children. "We don't have a lot of time on our hands. But it will be necessary to keep them against their will to protect the humans from ever discovering the secret of what it really means to be different," he said.
Laughing with victory, the monster magicians flew away in a puff of smoke and disappeared. Turning to gain consciousness, the Halloween cursed kids gathered around us. A drooling werewolf boy, howled at the glowing darkened sun. He jumped from his hairy, clawed feet and quickly grabbed hold of Mom. And knocked me out with his powerful clawed fists.
Albert the monster clown grabbed hold of me by my feet. And started dragging me away into the empty, foggy streets. The Halloween cursed monster children couldn't stop laughing and staggering lifelessly toward the graveyard. There was something that crashed there. To give us secrets of what kind of magic has to offer the undead.
I didn't know what to expect after Mom and I got to the graveyard. I slowly started to wake up. As I saw there was a glowing crater in the center of the graveyard. Where the comet from the sky crashed into the ground.
The Halloween costume kids put Mom and me down, aside from each other. I was worried our Dad would never know what would happen to us. If the Halloween monster children never let us go, free again.
Mom and I turned to look up at the darkened starry, glowing sky. We gasped with fright. Seeing the monster magicians soar through the air over the blotted purple sun. They appeared before us, next to the crashed comet in the ground.
The ground was hot next to the comet, where it crashed into the ground. Taking a small rock from the dirt ground next to the comet, the magician leader tossed it at the comet. The small, gray rock pelted against the comet's rocky surface. And it disappeared into the comet, like it was soft like jell-o.
"Now you all must understand!" shouted the monster magician leader. His eyes glowed at the blotted purple sun as he turned back his attention to the Halloween monster children. "Not everybody can use our zombie time machine. Only Kirk Hopscotch is allowed to work the machine. Because he has zombie blood. He only has one try to make it work. If Kirk is successful, everybody will be frozen in time. Do not be afraid of our gifted ability to keep time from standing still, forever. It's the only way to survive the way of undead living," said the monster magician.
This got the Halloween monster children excited. They didn't want to waste anymore time. Albert, the werewolf boy, quickly pushed Mom and me into the hole in the ground. The comet was still hot and smoking.
Albert kept pushing and shoving Mom and me against the crashed comet in the ground. I didn't know what our purpose for getting involved with something otherworldly would ever give us any attention to ourselves.
"Please, don't do this to us," Mom begged. She was getting closer to touch the smoking hot comet rock with her pink shoes. "It doesn't have to be this way, you know," Mom continued. "But time is meant to be shared for everyone in the world," Mom said. I don't think Albert could understand human speech. He continued growling and howling at the dark sun in the sky. To care less about anything we have to say.
It wasn't going to give Mom and a chance to fight back. The Halloween monster children started cheering Albert the werewolf boy on. I could feel the heat coming from the crashed comet in the ground, closer toward us.
Then, the two monster magicians floating in the sky above the ground, zapped the comet with their fingertips… And it exploded into tiny rocks. Covering Mom and me in a tidal wave of slime.
