Chapter 14 - Prince of Eldoria

The general was about to point at one of them but was interrupted by a noise coming from outside.

Loud noise could be heard from outside the building. It sounded like horses and a chariot.

''I told them to come earlier," the general soliloquised.

It was the royal family of Eldoria.

The sparkling white chariot veined with golden vines roundabout. The wheels were coated in alternations of gold and silver.

The horses were crystal clean with their white long mane and golden hooves. Even the coachman looked a bit fancy with his tuxedo and classy bow tie.

As the chariot halted in front of the building door leading to the hall, a young boy stepped down onto the stairs in his chariot.

The coachman got down immediately he stopped the chariot and threw a bright red carpet for his young king to step across into the building before he picked it back up again and threw it into the carriage.

"Give me a minute. I'll be right back," the general excused himself and walked towards the entrance.

The young prince had already made his way through throwing about his sparkling smile all over the room causing Eldorian girls to swoon and sway from a distance, some even fainted at his very presence.

He walked in and greeted the general as they both met walking in their opposing directions.

The general went outside to greet the royal couple as they were good friends.

He as well wanted to know why they were so late for the nearly concluding orientation.

The prince, jointly to his fame, wealth and good looks, was also awakened.

According to him, he was in his room, about to get up and start a wonderful day when suddenly he found himself in the middle of the forest and then captured.

He spent the night like everyone else in the cell and luckily managed to awaken an element, in fact two.

He later met the general a day later and was sent back to the royal palace to return two days after for the orientation.

He walked into the hall with his bodyguard by his side.

"Who does this guy think he is, walking in when it's all over?", Xavier asked Leo.

"He is the prince of Eldoria. I didn't know that he was an awakened. I wonder what element he has?"

As the prince approached the crowd he ordered his bodyguard to fall behind in order not to scare anyone.

He walked past the girl division of the crowd, love cry's and hands reaching out to have a feel of the prince's warm fuzzy coat.

He approached the boys division, hoping to make some friends.

He gave a wave. "Hey, there. I am Ollie, prince of Eldoria, what's your name?"

He was talking to Xavier whose seat was the outermost of the crowd with his hands crossed and buried deep within his armpits.

'What does this bozo want with me now?'

"Your royal majesty–", he said sarcastically.

"No, need for formalities. Just call me Ollie."

"Ollie. I'm Xavier and these are my friends Leo and Avon. It's an honour to have you attend our academy."

He didn't really like the prince for some reason– an old guy named Millo made that impossible and he needed to fake it till he made it.

"The honour is all mine."

'Phew, he is leaving.'

"Can I sit here with you?"

'What!'

"Ya, sure. Have a seat."

"Thanks." The prince took a seat beside Xavier.

Now the general had concluded his discussion with Ollie's parents and was ready to close up with the students.

He walked back in as the chariot left for the palace leaving numerous bags and servants at the prince's disposal.

The General ascended the stage once more and scanned the area for the prince.

"Students, as you can already see. We have someone special in our midst today. The prince of Eldoria. Everyone give a round of applause for Ollie."

Ollie got up and gave a wide wave to his soon-to-be classmates before taking his seat once more.

The guy really wasn't as bad as most prince's were. He was humble and nice and lacked any trace of pride.

"Thank you, your majesty," the general said.

He couldn't help but notice the expression on Xavier's face beside Ollie and was intrigued.

He smiled within himself after deducing what the situation may be.

"Xavier Von."

His heart immediately raced as soon as he heard his name from the General's mouth he stood up quickly. "Yes, sir."

"I am tasking you with the responsibility of giving our prince here a tour of the school."

'Why me?'

The prince immediately got up before Xavier could speak "That's awesome. We will get along just fine," he said as he wrapped his arm over Xavier's back.

'Get off me, loser.'

"Oh. I see. The two of you are already acquainted. Then I guess there will be no problem then, right Xavier?"

"Yes, sir." He really didn't want to do it but he had to agree as they left with no other choice.

"Okay then. I believe there were some questions you wanted to ask me," he began readdressing the crowd as some hands went flying in the air.

He pointed at a few, answered them before telling the rest to defer their questions till the before telling the rest to defer their questions till their next gathering.

"Hope, that was helpful to all of you. Have a good day. You're dismissed." The general had concluded the gathering and in a few minutes the hall was empty.

He stepped down the stage and called out Xavier again to a corner of the hall. "What do you think? Is that punishment enough for the little stunt you pulled in the virtual room?"

'So that is what this is about. You're lucky that your my superior if not–'

"I saw your strained disposition towards our prince and sensed something. Maybe a drawback to your character towards your Millo friend."

"He is not my friend," he said in a grudging voice with an evident frown on his face.

The General bursted into a brief session of laughter as he crossed his arm over Xavirt and they both left the hall, as the residual remnant left.
