Yun Yun's body felt like it had been trampled by a herd of elephants. Angry elephants. With sharp hooves.
She groaned, her limbs heavy, and instinctively tried to sit up—
Only to immediately flop back down.
Pain flared in her chest.
Okay. No sudden movements.
Her senses slowly returned. First, the scent of something… odd. Not the usual wilderness smell of dirt and blood, but something almost too clean.
Then, the softness beneath her.
And the weight of a blanket?
Wait.
Her eyes snapped open.
This wasn't the battlefield.
This wasn't even a cave.
It was a bedroom.
A real bedroom. With a massive bed, soft sheets, and furniture that shouldn't exist in this world.
Her breath caught.
She reached for her sword—
Only to realize she didn't have it.
Worse.
She wasn't even wearing her robes.
Double worse.
She felt… light.
Too light.
A horrifying thought entered her mind.
With dread, she slowly lifted the blanket.
And saw bare skin.
Yun Yun froze.
The color drained from her face.
Her heart stopped.
No. No, no, no.
She slammed the blanket back down like she had just seen a ghost.
A single thought screamed in her mind:
WHY AM I NAKED?!
Just then, the door creaked open.
"Oh, you're awake."
Her glare snapped up.
And there he was.
The man responsible.
Kaiser.
Smug. Shirtless. Tail flicking lazily behind him.
Yun Yun's fingers twitched.
"Why," she asked, voice low and dangerous, "am I naked?"
Kaiser blinked.
Then smirked.
"Oh, you just noticed?"
She saw red.
Her grip on the blanket tightened. "Explain. Now."
Kaiser yawned, completely unfazed.
"I had to clean your wounds," he said casually, pointing at her bandaged chest. "You were a mess. Blood everywhere. Clothes ruined. I figured, hey, instead of letting you die, I'll be a nice guy and save you."
Yun Yun's eye twitched.
He sounded like he wanted a thank you.
"You could have left my clothes on," she hissed.
Kaiser snorted. "And let you get an infection? No thanks. Do you know how hard it is to take care of a dying person?" He scoffed. "Besides, you should be grateful. I even tucked you in."
Yun Yun wanted to throw something at him.
Then, just when she thought he couldn't be any worse, he shrugged and added,
"Not like there was much to see anyway. Your assets are kinda underwhelming."
…Silence.
For three seconds, the world stood still.
Then, with zero hesitation, Yun Yun grabbed the nearest object—
A pillow.
And launched it at his face.
WHAP!
Direct hit.
Kaiser stumbled back, caught off guard.
"Hey! What the hell?!"
WHAP!
A second pillow.
Now he was just annoyed.
Yun Yun was already reaching for a third.
"YOU—INSUFFERABLE—" WHAP!
"STOP THROWING PILLOWS AT ME, WOMAN!"
WHAP!
"THEN STOP TALKING!"
Kaiser finally caught the next pillow mid-air.
His grin returned.
"Oh. You wanna play dirty?"
Before Yun Yun could react, he lunged.
She barely had time to register the movement before—
He grabbed her wrist.
His grip was firm but playful, and his tail swished behind him in amusement.
Yun Yun froze.
"…Let go."
Kaiser leaned in slightly, smirking.
"What if I don't?"
"I'll—"
"If you try to throw another pillow," he drawled, eyes gleaming with mischief, "I'll tickle you."
Yun Yun's entire body locked up.
"You wouldn't."
Kaiser's smirk widened.
"Wouldn't I?"
They stared at each other.
A silent battle.
Then, in one swift motion, Yun Yun yanked her hand free and clutched the blanket like her life depended on it.
"…Smart choice," Kaiser mused, stepping back. "I'll let you off easy."
Yun Yun exhaled sharply, refusing to admit she had actually panicked.
Then something small and warm shifted beside her.
She glanced down—
And saw a tiny Purple Crystal Winged Lion Cub curled up beside her.
Snuggled against her arm.
Yun Yun blinked.
Then looked at Kaiser.
Kaiser looked way too pleased.
"Oh yeah. I adopted him."
Yun Yun gawked.
"…You what?"
"He's mine now." Kaiser grinned, his tail wagging slightly.
She stared at him.
At the Saiyan warrior-turned-cat fanatic.
At the tiny Magical Beast, peacefully napping like this was all normal.
"…You let a beast sleep in my bed?"
Kaiser snorted.
"Correction. My cub is sleeping in his bed. You're the intruder."
Yun Yun rubbed her temples.
This man.
This overpowered, annoying, shameless lunatic.
"You're ridiculous."
Kaiser only shrugged. "Guilty."
A long silence.
Yun Yun sighed.
She should be angry.
She should kick him in the face.
But… she glanced at the peacefully sleeping cub.
Maybe… not everything about him was bad.
