Many years ago, on Planet Vegeta in Universe Three.
Raditz was being bullied as always by some other Saiyans of the same age.
His father was an elite warrior, while he was just a weakling born with a low power level, unworthy of being Bardock's son.
The other children mocked him for not being Bardock's son and said that he must be a bug from another planet.
The angry Raditz wanted to beat them but was immediately pinned down.
Raditz then bit the other person's tail and began fighting them.
Later Raditz returned home with a bruised face and blood all over his body, triumphantly telling Bardock that he had won against those of the same age as him and was no longer as weak as before.
Bardock only said faintly, 'Not bad,' and then turned to look at his newborn youngest son.
...
Meanwhile, on the other side of the universe, Frieza was unhappily talking about the Saiyans.
"Although I admire the Saiyans' power, these stupid monkeys never know how to perfectly obey orders, and controlling them is getting out of hand. It's better to just wipe them out."
Frieza's personal guard, also known as Zarbon, told Frieza, "In ten days, the Saiyans will all return to Planet Vegeta, and that will be the best opportunity, Lord Frieza."
Frieza agreed to Zarbon's suggestion, deciding to kill all the Saiyans that day.
Zarbon then explained, "At that time, only Prince Vegeta will be training, and the Bardock Squad will not be on Planet Vegeta."
Frieza, who didn't want to leave any future troubles, said, "Kill all the Saiyans and leave only Vegeta and Nappa, who is teaching him. That will be enough."
Zarbon said, "Among the elite warriors, Bardock is very strong. His two sons might have some use. Should we keep them and train them like Vegeta?"
Frieza agreed and secretly led his soldiers to Planet Vegeta to prepare to eliminate the Saiyans in one fell swoop.
...
On Planet Vegeta, Bardock took Raditz to the nursery to see his newborn youngest son.
Raditz looked at him and said, "Kakarot, I'm your brother, Raditz."
Bardock turned on the scouter and scanned Kakarot but only got a single-digit value of his power level.
His face turned gloomy, and he turned to leave without looking back while muttering, "Another trash son."
His wife, Hanasia, placed her hand on her hip and said, "Bardock, we didn't have power level detectors in our era. Maybe you were like that when you were born. In the future, Kakarot might be on the same level as you."
Bardock was very dissatisfied and said, "Based on Kakarot's potential, do you really think he can catch up with me?"
A father's status depends on his son. This saying applies to the Saiyans. Bardock is a leader among elite warriors, and his current status among Saiyans is not bad, but it is far from that of others.
The worker pressed a button, and an image flickered on the screen.
He then introduced the planet that Kakarot was going to be sent to.
"The gravity of this planet is only one-tenth of Planet Vegeta's, and the average power level is 3. Stronger fighters are between thirty and forty."
Bardock didn't care, but Hanasia, after listening to the report, said, "Very good; it seems that Kakarot will soon be able to conquer that planet. It would be unlikely for him to run into one of the top warriors as soon as he arrives on Earth."
In Hanasia's consideration, Earth has multiple full moons every year. As long as Kakarot is sent to Earth, he can live safely for a few years, and his power level will gradually increase. Then, by transforming into a great ape during a full moon, he would be able to destroy his enemies.
Bardock said while leaving the nursery, "You play with him. I have to meet up with my team and go on a mission."
Bardock didn't care about his son's situation. If he had good talent, he might grow strong enough to survive, but if he was weak, his life would be left to fate.
