There was a smile on my lips, but if one looked closely, they would see that it was fueled by the fire of anger. I turned to Rhea and said, "I take back my words. Now, no matter what, I will go there."
Perhaps Rhea didn't believe my words, or maybe she was just too shocked, because an expression of astonishment appeared on her face. She raised her eyebrows and said, "What do you mean?" without letting any emotion surface.
I also got off the swing and leaned against a tree, folding my arms, lowering my lashes slightly as I said, "If no one has ever set foot in that room except for Freya, then we should be the ones to step in... and feel the ground of that room beneath our feet."
I said this with a wicked smile.
Rhea gazed at me as if I were a fool, then spoke in a voice filled with amazement and a slight hint of seriousness, "First of all, why are you talking in such a poetic way? And second, well, your idea is good, but if no one enters that room, how exactly are we supposed to get in?"
I took a step toward her, about to say something in an overly prideful manner, but before I could, the foot I step ahead got caught in something—
And thud!
I fell flat on my face, and then I heard someone laughing loudly—"Leen, along with your brain, your eyes are weak too!"
I heard their footsteps approaching me. I was furious at their words, but swallowing my anger, I stood up. When I looked down, I realized that I had tripped over a fallen log.
Rhea couldn't stop laughing, so after dusting off my clothes, I kicked her—and then, thud! She fell.
Now it was my turn to laugh, but Rhea pulled me down with her.
Rhea was on the ground, and I was on top of her.
I burst into laughter, and just as I was enjoying the moment, she smacked me. But while helping her up, dusting off my clothes, I stopped her and said, "We need to check out Freya's room. Why doesn't she let anyone enter? What is it that she's trying so hard to hide?"
Maybe, through that room, I can shatter Freya's false pride into dust??
Rhea looked at me with a mocking tone and said, "Are you obsessed with her?"
I looked at her, placed a hand on her shoulder, and said, "No!! But I will uncover the truth about Freya's room. Will you join me?"
I turned to Rhea. She looked at me, then, pretending to be exhausted, said, "Well, since this whole thing started because of me ,I am mother root of this, fine, I'm in! But if we get caught, you'll be the one getting beaten up, I won't take any sides. And if things get too serious, I'll just say you drugged me with some hypnotic substance and made me do all this."
I looked at her, smacked her shoulder, and laughed, "Your terms and conditions are truly ridiculous!"
Then, we made a pact to investigate Freya's room.
Rhea dropped me off at home, but I was still annoyed, so without talking to anyone, I went straight to my room.
Then, I took a bath, changed my clothes, and got into bed. Now, all that's left is to wait… just two more days.
But then, I suddenly had a weird thought—why am I becoming so poetic all of a sudden??
