There was a calmness around that house, a peace that soothed the heart—an unfamiliar kind of peace. Away from the chaos, this was Freya's world. I admired the tranquility, the beautiful trees, and the house adorned with colors as I stepped forward and rang the doorbell.
As soon as I rang the bell, I heard the sound of footsteps approaching us. Then, the door opened—a simple white door decorated with circular purple patterns. Moving my gaze away from the door, I looked ahead, and there stood Freya.
She looked completely simple—dressed in a plain white full-length dress, her long hair flowing down to her waist, and a soft smile on her lips, which was directed at my mother. Yes! My mom and Freya exchanged greetings and embraced each other.
Watching this, a slow-burning anger flickered inside me, but suppressing it, I stepped forward and greeted Freya. Her eyes lingered on me, holding a unsaid guilty glint. She gave me a small smile in return and then invited both me and my mom into the dining room As I shifted my gaze to the dining table in the dining room, I saw Rhea sitting there with her mother and father, who greeted us as soon as they saw us. Mom and I smiled and greeted them back before taking our seats. I sat next to Rhea and looked at her, signaling her to be ready for the plan. She smiled and gave me a thumbs-up.
Just then, the doorbell rang, and Freya, flashing a smile, went to open the door. I was admiring the dining room as if I were seeing it for the first time. It was a simple space, neither too big nor too small, with a white carpet covering the floor. The walls were painted a soft moonlight color, and above the dining table, three large, elegant white lamps hung. In front of the dining table was a large window covered with white curtains.
When Freya returned, she was accompanied by three people I had seen before. They were her friends, and one thing was clear—they were far more stylish, charming, and fun than Freya herself. Their names were Roy, Magnus, and Astrid. Astrid was around the same age as Freya and was wearing a green revealing dress that made her look absolutely stunning. Her dark red lipstick contrasted beautifully with her waist-length fiery red hair. She wore tall green heels, adding to her striking appearance.
Seeing me, she walked up to me, hugged me, and asked how I was doing.
"Hey cutie, you look so pretty," she said.
I smiled and replied, "You too."
Then, I greeted Roy and Magnus—both incredibly handsome men.
Roy was wearing a blue shirt that perfectly showcased his toned muscles. He paired it with black pants and a tie that added a touch of nobility to his look. His black branded shoes completed the classy outfit.
As he greeted me, I looked into his eyes (I have a huge crush on him!). His big, intense eyes were the kind that could instill fear if they locked onto someone. His nose was sharp and straight, his skin was tanned, and his high cheekbones, along with his beautifully plump lips, made him even more attractive.
Whoever his girlfriend was—I was, first, jealous of her, and second, she was incredibly lucky!
I then glanced at Rhea, who I knew was completely losing her mind over Magnus. The moment Magnus was around, her confidence would vanish into thin air. She kept trying to smile at him, but her nervousness was obvious. Magnus truly was a golden boy.
Soon, everyone began chatting and eating dinner. I nudged Rhea gently with my elbow, seeing how utterly lovestruck she was over Magnus, and gave her a signal to start our plan…
