"Besides the chest tattoo and the ring, haven't you heard anything else useful?" Asher asked calmly.
After screaming and letting out all her negative emotions, Rose became calmer and more confident than before. She began telling Asher the details and how she managed to pretend to be dead so they wouldn't perform the ritual on her.
Asher, on the other hand, was confused.
'The ring that madman gave me must have some kind of spell or something to be used in the ritual.'
'The ritual most likely fails due to the victims' weakness, but why do his chosen slaves die?'
'Is that why he reincarnates so many dead souls into this world?'
Asher thought hard, his mind strained because he didn't know any useful information yet, and everything he learned seemed absurd.
'But how do they become so powerful so quickly to reach someone as high-ranking as a teacher at the largest and most prestigious academy on the human continent?' '
' Or has he been doing this for years and all this nonsense about running out of energy is just a lie?'
"Asher?..." Suddenly, a calm voice snapped him out of his fast-paced thoughts.
"What?..." Ever since she'd expressed her feelings in that way in front of Asher, Rose had started talking to him casually and easily called him by his first name.
"Didn't you hear what I was saying?" she responded angrily to his question mark.
"..." Asher chose to remain calm, not wanting to start another pointless drama.
"Ah, damn it! Why am I trapped with someone who acts so strangely, is crazy, and has amnesia on top of that?" Rose complained to the walls, finding no one to complain to now.
Seeing that Asher hadn't really heard anything she'd said, she chose to bang her pride against the wall and repeat what she'd said. "I told you I heard them talking about rescuing their ruler's followers or something from some dungeon, and I saw them carrying a strange map."
Asher's eyes widened in shock at what Rose had just said.
'If they rescued his followers, they'll definitely find a way to bring him back, and it'll be difficult to stop them at my current level,' Asher thought seriously.
'Were those people too strong for you to believe?" Asher asked quietly.
'No, on the contrary, they were too weak. I still don't know how they brought me here, either.' Rose responded with a deep sneer at them.
'Damn it, something's wrong, and I don't think staying here will solve it, but I still don't know a lot, and I don't want to act rashly.' Asher felt pressured for the first time in both his lives.
After thinking for a short while, Asher lifted his head, his eyes glowing a mysterious, dark purple as he stared at Rose. .....
Name: Rose Micavel
Bloodline: Frost Lotus (Seven-Star)
Level: 576 (Rank 5)
.....
'Good, it works easily.' Asher used the Eyes of the Abyss on Rose and, fortunately, was able to activate it easily.
"What's up, you idiot?" Rose felt his predatory gaze. For a moment, she thought she was naked in front of him, which made her feel embarrassed and her face began to redden.
Asher, on the other hand, didn't care about these things because he had a lot of things to work on.
Asher stood up and walked towards Rose calmly. As he walked towards her, Rose's thoughts began to race and her body began to heat up. Since her power had left, she was no longer in control of her emotions and body.
'What will this idiot do? Can't he control himself anymore or what? Damn this collar that makes me powerless...'
"What will you do?..." she asked, stumbling, not knowing what to do.
Asher didn't answer her. He squatted down so he was facing her and nonchalantly raised his hand towards hers. "Hey, not here..." Before she could finish, she felt a cold hand touch her collar for a moment. She opened her eyes to find Asher sitting in front of her, playing with the collar in his hand. She unconsciously grabbed her neck and, feeling the collar disappear, was surprised. "How...how did you do it? I was trying with all my might to pull it off, but I couldn't." Asher smiled as he watched the screen in front of him.
[The Void Collar: A rare item that renders its wearer unable to use mana if their rank is higher than Rank 2. Only the master of the collar can control it as they wish, but it becomes ineffective for those below Rank 2 and appears as a regular collar in their hands.] Current Owner: Ruler of the Void
Side Effect: Makes the wearer lose control of their emotions
"I asked you. Answer me." Asher raised his head toward the cold voice that spoke to him, and Rose faced him with a calmer, colder expression than before.
"It's a trade secret," he replied, unconcerned by her mood.
He looked at the collar for a moment before hiding it in the ring the Void Lord had given him.
"Now we must think about getting out of here." But before he could get up, a slender but strong hand grabbed his shoulder.
"Listen, Mr. Darwin, may I ask you to keep everything that happened here secret?" Her expression was calm as she asked Asher to keep her secret.
Asher looked at her for a moment before calmly getting up from the floor.
"I'm not sure what happened here because I lost my memory. All I remember is a beautiful woman saving me from certain death."
Rose looked at him gratefully, though she wasn't sure he would keep his promise.
From what she'd heard about the Darwin family, he was quiet, reserved, and not as arrogant or boastful as other noble families, despite his great talent and standing in society.
So she simply felt she could feel comfortable if he was the one who would keep her secret.
"Now let's get out of here," Asher said calmly as he headed towards the gate.
Rose also got up to follow him quietly, although she found it difficult to stand due to the mana returning to her body. She needed to rest for a while until she got used to it again, but given their current situation, she had no choice but to get up and leave this place.
"Be careful, we don't k---" Asher warned her seriously, but before he could finish speaking, a dark purple energy entered the door and collided with him with such force that he disappeared from his spot.
Rose froze as she saw Asher disappear from his place without warning.
"Looks like we have some intruders on our business here." A strange man entered the room and began speaking sarcastically after noticing Rose standing there with a stunned expression.
"What the hell?"
