Chapter 10 - Kira Dakon

Inside a large, mysterious cavern, hundreds of monster corpses of various ranks lay dead on the stone floor.

Each Void Beast had died in a unique way: some had been severed, others reduced to a paste of flesh and blood. There were also monsters killed by nails that were tinged with a strange black aura.

At the far end of the cave, a naked man sat, his entire body pale. His muscular body was covered in dark red blood, and his short blond hair was longer and shaggy as it fell over his shoulders. His azure eyes had lost their luster, devoid of any life.

His mouth was full of the soft flesh of the monsters, and he greedily chewed it, as if he hadn't eaten for years.

"Hmm..." As he ate his meal, a four-horned silver bull, his attention was caught by a strange aura in the back. Even more strangely, it didn't resemble the aura of a monster. He quickly finished his food, holding a sleek, sharp black sword beside him, and stood up, facing the aura he had just felt.

...

"This should be the dungeon Law told me about, the one the Void Lord's subordinate sent me to." Asher calmly inspected his surroundings, which consisted of a small, windowless stone room with a broken door.

"The smell of blood in the air is very strong." Asher's sense of smell was stronger than before and more sensitive.

He moved slowly forward, wary of any danger outside. He already knew about the monsters in this place, but there was no other way but to confront them. If he didn't go out to confront them, he would remain here until death.

"Every day, you have to be prepared to die if you want to survive, right?" He reminded himself of what he had said to his gang members in his previous world as he grabbed the wooden doorknob, preparing to leave.

"!!!!"

"!!!!"

" Asher was surprised to find a black sword at his neck as soon as he opened the door. Meanwhile, the stranger was surprised as he looked at Asher's chest, specifically at the three runes tattooed there.

Asher noticed that he was looking at the three runes with interest, but he didn't care much because of the sharp black sword at his neck.

"Mind if I remove this thing from here?" Asher's cold, calm voice brought the stranger out of his thoughts and astonishment.

"Are you the Dark Lord?" the stranger asked indifferently, his azure eyes glowing coldly.

"!!!!" Asher was surprised by this sudden question, but he tried as hard as he could not show his surprise to the stranger. However, he didn't know how to answer the question.

The truth might be able to get him out of this predicament, or the opposite might be true. Asher took a moment to think of a solution to this dilemma. As he thought, the massive number of dead monsters in the background caught his attention. Using the Eyes of the Abyss, he saw that the weakest monster was a Rank 3, while the strongest was a Rank 5.

Just as he was about to use the Eyes of the Abyss on the man in front of him, he felt the black sword touch his neck, accompanied by a cold voice and a murderous aura emanating from him.

"Don't try to use your skill on me before you answer my question."

Asher was at a crossroads now: either tell the truth or lie.

"I guess my revival made me forget who I really am and the principles I lived by..." Asher thought with a frown, his dark purple eyes growing colder.

"Yes, I am."

A terrible silence fell over the dungeon after Asher answered his question.

The silence lasted for a short while, as the glowing azurite eyes stared into the indifferent dark purple ones.

"I welcome the Dark Lord and Lord of Destruction... my eternal master."

Suddenly, the strange man fell to his knees and greeted Asher with a strangeness Asher never understood.

"Sorry for not recognizing you from the start, my master, due to my ignorance," the strange man apologized, his head looking down and his hands clutching his sword on the ground.

"What's wrong with these people? Everyone I meet starts calling me 'master,' and I don't even know them..." Asher no longer knew what to do. Ever since his death, he'd been meeting crazy people, and he'd begun to wonder if everyone in this world was crazy, or if he was the one who was crazy because he couldn't understand them.

After deep thought, he noticed that the person in front of him hadn't moved. He remained kneeling there as if waiting for something. But before Asher could speak to him, he decided to do something first.

{Eyes of the Abyss}

.....

Name: Kira Dakon

Age: 28

Race: Human/Demon

Level: 500 {Rank 5}

Bloodline: Dark Nightmare

Affinity: Mist

.....

"..."

Asher was truly surprised after seeing his power, but what caught his attention even more was his race.

' He's half-demon?...'

From what Asher had heard, humans and demons had a great feud between them, meaning they were not allowed to interbreed.

But now before him was a man whose parent was a demon and the other a human.

"You may stand up," Asher said, his tone cold and emotionless.

Kira rose from the ground and stood before him, calmly, like a machine waiting for orders to move.

"Your name is Kira, right?" Asher asked calmly.

"Yes, sir," Kira replied, his voice a tone of respect and poise.

Asher stared at him for a few minutes before speaking again. "Listen, if I'm truly your master, know that I don't like my subordinates to be machines waiting for orders to work. You must have your own will and independent thinking to be able to help me," Asher said seriously.

In his past life, he had been the leader of a famous gang, and he knew everything his gang members were going through. The first thing Asher noticed then was that most of them didn't think or give their opinions, but simply carried out orders without question, like machines. This was what made Asher prevent them from doing that by allowing them to participate in his plans.

But of course, the people he shares his plans with must be trusted people, not just anyone.

Kira was a little surprised by Asher's words, but he smiled in response and relaxed his muscles a little to be more comfortable as he nodded in agreement.

"It's good that you understand this now. Tell me where we are?" Asher said calmly.

"But, sir, shouldn't we first form the bond that shows that I am officially your vassal?" Kira asked seriously, as if this was the most important thing right now. Asher understood what he was talking about, but didn't care much because, for some reason, he trusted him and thought the necessary measures could be taken later.

"Okay, if you want, that's fine," he said before raising his hand slightly, and a black aura emerged from it, heading toward Kira's head.

"Kira Dakon, from this day forward, will be my loyal vassal..." He paused after seeing the black skull tattoo on Kira's chest, and felt the connection between them when the third rune glowed, which he understood to be related to the world Law was in.

"Listen, I don't care if you're human, demon, or beast... all that matters to me is that you are loyal to me from the bottom of your heart and soul. As for the rest, leave that to me, I'll take care of it." He continued his sentence seriously.

"Yes, sir, I will live up to your expectations," Kira said calmly, his voice full of respect.

"Now let's get out of this damn place."
