Aoife couldn't believe that the teacher that had been disturbing her this morning was the one who saved her from the mysterious entity. She was left speechless from the occurance that happened.
Mr. Oscar reaches out his hand to get Aoife to stand up from the ground. She holds his hand, trembling from the stress and pressure she had felt.
"No need time to explain. We have to go NOW…!"
Mr. Oscar pulls Aoife to the stairs and ran until they reached the second floor. They reached the second floor and Mr. Oscar drags Aoife to an empty storage room.
"Why was that entity chasing you?! It was never supposed to see you."
"I- I don't know, Sir I have been seeing this week lately"
"DID YOU RECEIVE AN EMAIL ATLEAST ONCE?!"
Aoife considered giving the truth to Mr. Oscar. She doesn't know if she should reveal it because of the warning that had been sent that any leak of the information will get her killed.
Why do I have to deserve this…?! What's WRONG with my life… Is this my purpose?! To be a slave of a corporation or a group? What am I supposed to do now…
"They said to me too… They cannot detect you if you are saying the information to a level of intellect like mine. I know what you're feeling Aoife…"
"Ar- Are you sure that what I'm about to tell you won't get me killed…?"
Aoife tries to hold her feelings tightly. She tries to not shed a single tear from her eyes. She knew she wanted to tell anyone what she has been feeling the day after the email was sent to her.
"I'm sure."
"I- I got the email from the group called METEOR…"
Mr. Oscar sighs in relief from what he heard.
"You're lucky my group is allied with yours. I would've killed you if you had said SHIELD or COMET because they are our kill on sight"
"Why is this happening to me Sir?! Why am I dragged into this mess…?"
Aoife desperately tries to ask Mr. Oscar on why the events currently are happening to her.
And the man chuckled.
"You are a Spectre. You are one of the 40 spectres beings created in the world. That's is the real reason why you see strange stuff around here."
"But… how can you see the weird creatures or monsters, or WHATEVER you call them?!"
"I'll tell you soon. The reason why I'm able to see "them" is because of the goggles. Did METEOR even gave you the nessecities to your task or mission?"
"What nessecities…?"
"Equipments. That includes weapons and gear."
"The- They only gave me this stupid fucking mission that not even God knows on what is a LANCELOT_OBJ#12 around here in the fucking school!"
"So you're looking for that "thing" aswell…?"
"What is it Sir…?"
"Believe it or not you can call it a portal or a rift to another dimension."
"Why is it called LANCELOT…? What even is a rift…?"
"There are worlds beyond ours… The rift is made in the school centuries ago. This is the main rift that causes the other worlds collide to ours…"
Aoife couldn't believe it. Has she finally found the answer to the strange events that has been going on since the very start of the strange letter…? No, there has to be multiple answers to this.
"What are rifts Sir…?"
His expression changes to a dark mood to explain the rifts to Aoife.
"Rifts are dimensional openings to other worlds. Inside the rifts is where mostly the groups, bases or places. The concept of time doesn't exist inside the rift and infinite possibilities can occur inside the rifts."
Aoife tries to comprehend the information that had been given to her. No, it wasn't enough she wanted to ask more about everything that happened to her seeing all the events unfold to her.
"What is the LANCELOT Sir…?"
He smiles slowly as he is trying to tell a story to a 6th grader.
"The LANCELOT is a fortune to the astroworld. The ancient fortune that the technology side had stolen and hid it from them. It is stored here somewhere among the rifts placed around the school…"
"So that's what METEOR told me… To seek and protect it no matter the cost…"
Aoife tries to ask more questions but suddenly, a loud bang was made from the other room. It was like a laser explosion or a portal travelling in the other room.
"Shit… They're here for me…"
"Sir, WHO IS "THEY"…?!"
"The dark side of the organizations… They have the weapons beyond anyone has made in Earth. They came from the rifts…"
Aoife and Mr. Oscar hid deeply in the empty storage room around the boxes. The other room was filled with noises never heard before from the normal world.
The other room of the door opened with a bang and heard large footsteps outside of the empty storage room. Aoife and Mr. Oscar get closer to the window to hide.
Aoife took a tiny peek in the window whole trying to not get spotted by the invaders. One of the invaders walks past the window. It's looks are a formal business suit with a black mask again in the face with red goggles.
Mr. Oscar drags Aoife down to not get seen.
"Wait Alpha-B32 I heard a noise coming from this specific room…"
Mr. Oscar holds Aoife's mouth to not make any noise at all. The strange looking man looks through the window. He activates his goggles flashing in bright red light in the window.
He sees nothing except cardboard boxes, spiderweb, and dust all around the floor and shelves. The radio glows on the earpiece on the man.
"Have you see anything GLOBE_67…?"
"All clear Alpha, get ready to explore more around this perimeter."
The loud footsteps of the strange looking man goes farther away and Mr. Oscar finally let go off his hand away from Aoife's mouth. She gasps for air as she held her breath from the terrifying arrival of the organizations to the school.
"Wh- Why do they look like that sir…?"
"They wear goggles to detect the presence of the otherworlders and grants them a special ability per color."
Mr. Oscar stands up and opens the door to peek out for any anomolies outside the hallways. He tells Aoife quietly to move out of the empty storage room.
They walked silently trying to go to another room to hide where the strange looking men cannot find them at all even by luck. Mr. Oscar and Aoife walks to the end off the hallway.
They quickly get inside the door and walks through the glass bridge towards the abandoned school part. After walking in the glass bridge they walked across the moss trying to find the secret room.
"I'm leading you to my secret hideout from these people."
"Are you constantly going to this part of the school?"
"Yes, mainly because most of the rifts are placed in here by the organizations and the astronomers around this ginormous place."
Aoife and Mr. Oscar finally arrived at the secret base. They walked through the rusty metal stairs and turned left to the mossy hallways. Mr. Oscar walks at the right side of the hallway and places his hand at the wall.
He felt a lever inbetween the walls and pulled it. The wall opened silently with small crumble of rocks coming out of the two walls. Aoife and Mr. Oscar walked inside the secret entrance to the base. He pushes the button next to the wall to close the entrance.
Aoife continued to walk towards the endless darkness hallway. As she walked the hallway gets darker and dimmer each steps. Until, a light shines through Aoife's eyes and blinds her.
She walked more and after a few seconds the blindess ran out. She was very amazed and pleased on what she saw after the blindess.
The room was sparkling like it was more shinier than diamonds.
The air of the room keeps the heat and cold balanced. She notices the smell of the room was so appealing that even the finest perfumes cannot physically imitate the stench.
The base was perfect and illogical at the same time.
"So… Do you like the secret hideout?"
"DID YOU BUILD ALL OF THIS BY YOURSELF?!"
Aoife shouts in excitement wondering if Mr. Oscar had truly built this base.
"We're inside of a rift… This is just the old base of my group… There's the other door that leads you to infinite different worlds and I advise you to NOT open that yet since you aren't ready."
Aoife suddenly pondered about something. She thinks that if she still continue this fantasy to remove that normal life in her motto or if she should accept the reality that has been going on.
She said to herself, well maybe this is normal for the weird people like me I guess.
Is this my life now…?
