They bombarded Roman with questions. He didn't exactly have any answers for them. What was he was going to say?
"I got some kind of magical system when I got fired." Roman thought.
"Don't worry about where the money is coming from." Roman answered.
The car fell silent. His focus returned to driving. Amber's eyes remained locked on her brother's face. She knows he is hiding something. She just doesn't know what it is.
Roman didn't want to lie. So, choosing to keep them in the dark seemed like the best option. That's what he thought at least.

He called Nicole to the make suggestion.
"Hey Nicole"
"What's up Roman how are you doing?"

"I couldn't be better. The shop is making a killing. We have been swamped all day."
"Actually, that's what I was calling about. I think maybe we should hire a few more people to help out."
"Sounds good do have anyone in mind?"
"I have a few names I can text to you when I'm done driving. I think adding them to the team will grow the shop more."
"Okay sounds like a plan." Nicole said her hands shaking with excitement.
After the conversation with Nicole his focus returned to driving. The freeway was a little more crowded than before. Traffic was stop and go. Everyone except Heather and Roman had dozed off. Amber was drooling on her shoulder.
"She still hasn't changed." Roman mumbled to himself.
The rest of the drive was uneventful. Everyone else went inside while Roman got the bags.
Amber sat on the couch. Heather and Morgan introduced themselves as Roman's friends.
"Please my brother is fucking both of you." Amber said seeing right through them both.
Morgan eyes started scanning the room. Heather's face was a deep red now. Roman walked through the door.
"She knew you guys were full of bullshit didn't she." Roman said with a chuckle.
Amber's face lit up seeing everything Roman had brought. There were nice clothes and Jordans. He gave her the phone he had bought. Amber was on the verge of tears. She hadn't had anyone spend money on her like this since their mother died.
Roman hugged her.
"As long as I'm here you won't have to worry anymore." Roman said rubbing her head.
He is in a much better position now than before. Amber will have the best of everything. Her college will be paid for. If she decides she want to start a business, she will not have to take out a loan.
After opening her gifts Amber showered then fell asleep. Roman had somethings to get done. First, he had to make sure he had clean clothes for his meeting tomorrow. He checked his closet. He has an old black button down and some black jeans. He'll wear some of his air force ones with it.
Clothes are settled. He still has to send Nicole those names. He is hoping to hire them soon. He wasn't sure he needed a bodyguard at the moment though. The only person that really hates him is Logan.
Logan had threatened Morgan and Roman. Honestly, Roman felt like it was just words. He doesn't feel like he needs to fear Logan. Honestly, Logan can't even stand to up his mother.
Roman sent Nicole the names. She responded back with a thumbs up.
"That's enough business for today" Roman said to himself.
Roman went into his room with the intention of watching tv. He scrolled through the different streaming services. Nothing seemed particularly interesting. That was a sign that Roman was tired.
He drifted off to sleep. Heather, Morgan, and the twins were all still awake. That sat the dining room table finishing some leftover food. Heather and Morgan talked about their relationship with Roman. Doing their best to keep the conversation PG because of the children's ears around.
Their love for Roman is one thing they agreed on.
Heather dropped a bomb on Morgan. Heather wanted to see who would have Roman's child first. Would it be her, Morgan, or Isabella. Morgan was down for the challenge.
Roman woke in the middle of Heather and Morgan. Heather was snoring in his ear. He had a puddle of Morgan's drool on his shoulder. He could hear laughter in the living room. Amber was playing with Teddy and Leo. She was tickling them. None of them had notice Roman standing in the doorway. He watched for a few minutes before announcing his presence.
He walked over to hug them all. He gave Amber the key to Isabella's apartment. Amber needed to grab some clothes for the twins. Heather and Morgan were still sound asleep.
"Hey boys why don't y'all go wake up Auntie Morgan and Heather."
Teddy and Leo burst into the room. Roman helped them get up on to the bed. The twins started jumping around screaming wake up. Heather grabbed Leo by the leg. He fell over. That's when Heather started playfully biting his cheek. Teddy was being tickled by Morgan.
"Your Uncle put you up to this didn't he?" Morgan questioned.
"Yes!" The boys shouted through their laughter.
"Traitors!" Roman yelled as he was being pulled on to the bed.
Heather and Morgan pounced on him. They tickled and playfully hit him. Roman laughed uncontrollably.
"Okay...Okay truce" Roman pleaded.
Morgan and Heather high fived and laughed.
Roman was struggling to catch his breath. All the laughter made his sides hurt.
"That's what you get" Heather said while pointing him in the side.
Morgan sat at the end of the bed with a prideful grin. Amber had come back into the apartment with clothes for the twins. Heather and Morgan got the boys into the shower. Once they were done Amber went. Then Morgan after her. Heather went after Morgan. Last but not least Roman.
Roman called Isabella so the boys could talk to her.
"Mommy!" Teddy and Leo shouted in excitement.
"My babies!" Izzy screamed her eyes filled with joy.
"Mommy we met Uncle Roman's sister. She is so nice." Teddy said
"Oh, really that's awesome baby." Izzy responded.
Leo told his mom that he missed her. This was the first time Izzy had been away from them. The boys went with her everywhere.
"Hi, I'm Amber." Amber said waving at Izzy.
"Hey, Amber I wish I could be there to meet you in person. Thank you for being nice to my boys."
"No worries at all. The little dudes are cool. My brother has some great friends." Amber said winking at Izzy.
Her face was flushed. She didn't have time to make an excuse.
"It's cool I'm just glad my brother has people that makes him happy. He deserves it." Amber said with smile.
Roman took the phone from Amber.
"Little sisters can't never keep their mouths shut jeez." Roman said in a playful tone.
"Whatever." Amber replied waving her hand.
"Hey babe I'm going to look at this house today. I'm taking the twins with me. I'll be sure to send you pictures of the house." Roman said.
"Okay, are you planning on moving out of the apartment then?" Izzy asked.
"Yeah, I'm doing this for our family. I have Amber, Teddy, Leo, you, Heather, and Morgan to think about. The apartments aren't big enough for our family."
Izzy smiled from ear to ear. It felt great having someone that considers her needs. She never had that with Jason. Roman made everything easier. He loves her and most importantly her boys.
The called ended.
Roman got everyone loaded into the car. Coalsten is an hour and 45 minutes away. He stopped to grab a coffee and get everyone some breakfast.
Laughs filled the car. Roman was telling embarrassing stories about Amber. One time she got a marble stuck in her nose. Another time she ripped her pants skating.
Amber felt relief as they pulled up to the gate. There was a guard in the booth. Roman told the man that he was coming to see a house. The guard asked for the address.
"7807 Maple Tree Blvd." Roman answered.
The guard turned in his chair. He checked a clipboard before pushing a button to let them through.
"It's going to be the second street on your left." The guard instructed.
"Thank you." Roman replied.
The car cruise through the gate. The neighborhood looked nice. People were out walking dogs.
Making a left on Maple Tree he spotted Ben's car. The fourth house from the corner is the one Roman is interested. There is another car there next to Ben.
There is a woman standing next to Ben. She had red hair, green eyes, and light brown skin. She's gorgeous.
"Hey Roman, this is Henrietta she is the seller." Ben said.
Roman extended his hand.
"Hi I'm Roman."
The house was beautiful. It was a brick house with big porch. He loved the horseshoe driveway. High ceilings in the entry way. The living room was huge. There is a gorgeous brick fireplace. There is a big glass door leading to the backyard. There is a pool. There is nice gas grill.
The rooms were large. Teddy and Leo would share a room. Amber would have her own. The basement would serve as Roman's office. The house was perfect. It has an open floorplan.
After the tour Roman made an offer.
"$215,000" Roman offered.
Henrietta agreed. Roman pulled out his phone. He transferred the funds.
