Roman woke up the next morning with 6 missed calls. Two calls were from Isabella. Three calls were from Ben. The last call was from a number he did not recognize.
He slowly got out of bed, so he didn't wake Morgan. He was starting his day late and there is work to be done.
The purple system screen appeared in front of him.

A smile crept onto his face. His account was growing. Currently sitting at just over $400,000. After fixing up the investment property his account could easily be close to a million dollars. Excitement was coursing through his veins.
He sent Isabella a text before jumping in the shower. He was deep in thoughts. The water flowed down his body. His thoughts went back to when his mother had been sick and the promise he made her.
His mother made him promise to take care of his sister. After their mother's death Amber went down a path. She got into a lot of trouble. She spent time in a Juvenile Detention Center because of fight. She went to bootcamp because she got drugs with a guy she was seeing.
[Hey Big Brother, I just wanted to let you I am being released today. I called Auntie Shannon, but she didn't answer. They are releasing me at 3pm. Please can you come get me?]
Tears poured from his eyes. His baby was finally being released after 3 years in Rosedale Camp for Girls. Rosedale has reputation for housing some of the worse child offenders. Roman put on some clothes and grabbed his keys. He was rushing out the door. All the noise woke up Morgan.
"Daddy where are you going?" She asked. Her hair was all over the place.
"My sister is coming home today, and I need to get her somethings."
'Sister?" Morgan thought to herself, realizing she really didn't know a lot about Roman.
"Can I come? I would love to meet her." Morgan said her eyes gleaming with excitement.
"Sure, why not. Why don't you get Heather and twins. I be in the car."
She jumped to her feet. Morgan headed down the hall. Heather had made the boys breakfast and got them dressed.
Roman called back while he waited.
Ben's voice was filled with excitement. The seller had accepted Roman's offer and was ready to move forward with the sell. Just another part of the day that brought a smile to his face.
Roman got everybody into the car. Morgan sat up front while Heather sat in the back with Teddy and Leo. The went by a few stores. Roman bought his sister some clothes and shoes. Then he to add her to his phone plan.
Roman is determined to keep Amber on the right path. Amber really isn't a bad kid. She's just made some bad choices. She has been through a lot. Losing their mom and being bullied when she was younger. There is a lot of anger there. Anger that Roman is determined to help her work through. Amber is more than just the bad choices she made. She is smart, funny, and caring beyond belief. She would give a person the shirt of her back if they needed it more than her.
Rosedale is about a 3-hour drive. So, they have to get a move on. Roman definitely didn't want to be late.
The wasn't crowded. They were making good time. It's 1:30pm and they were about an hour out.
Heather, Morgan, and Isabella had formed a group chat.
"Did anybody know he had a sister?" Morgan sent.
"I didn't. But for some reason Roman doesn't like talking himself." Isabella responded.
"Me and Roman had a conversation about his mother dying. I don't remember if he mentioned having a sister." Heather added.
Roman's eyes were locked on the road. His mind wandered to the time he and Amber were younger. Roman was 15 when his mother died. Amber was 8. Roman remembers teaching Amber how to swim. He remembers when they went to the wave pool and Amber almost drown. Roman had jumped in the pool to save her. He remembered hearing that she was arrested the first time. His heart sank. He cried his eyes out. Hearing a judge say.
" Amber King you will 6 months in the Juvenile Detention Center."
The tears started flowing the minute he heard those words. His heart hurt seeing Amber being taken away. Every time he came to see he wished she could leave with him.
There is a big barbwire fence around the boot camp. The campus is made up of 6 different buildings. 3 barracks, a school building, a mess hall, and laundry building. Amber was standing just behind the fence. There was guard standing with her.
"Big Brother!!" Amber shouted when Roman got out the car.
The gate opened. She ran into his arms. He lifted her off her feet. Amber cried. Tears and snot flooded her face. The guard stood there with a blank face.
"You to sign her out." The woman said with a hint of irritation.
Roman grabbed the clipboard. He signed his name and handed back.
"Hey Amber, please don't go back." The guard said face softening.
"I won't Brenda." Amber ran to give her hug.
"Welcome Home Little sister."
Morgan climbed into the back. Amber sat up with her brother.
They started the drive back home. Roman patted Amber on the head. Even though she tried to play tough, Amber is a really big softy. He is really happy to have her home.
Having her home meant he has to make a call. He has to call their and tell her that he wants custody of his sister. Aunt Shannon pretty let Amber do whatever she wanted. Amber didn't have a curfew. Shannon didn't even make her go to school. Amber was keeping up with her grades because she wanted to.
He will worry about that later. For now, he is going to focus on Amber.
They came to red light. Roman called Ben.
"Hey Ben, can I ask for a favor."
"Sure, Roman what can I do for you?"
"Do you think you can find me a house in a decent school district? I would like to have a pool. A great spot to entertain and finished basement."
Sure, thing I will get right on that. What is your price range.

"As of right now I have about $205,000."
"That's Great! I think have perfect property."
"Where is it?"
"It in Coalsten. It has 5 bedrooms, 2 and half bathrooms, a pool, and finished basement. Plus, the owner has just brought the price down. It was originally $300,000. Right now, it is listed for $215,000 because he needs it sold right away."
Amber, Heather, and Morgan ears were locked on the conversation. The way Roman was throwing those numbers around as if they were chump change.
"Can I see the property?" Roman asked.
"Yeah, I'm free to show it tomorrow."
"You are working on a Saturday?"
"Yeah, I got bills to pay." Ben replied with a chuckle.
The men agreed to meet at 2pm. The call ended. Roman could feel his sister's eyes staring into his soul.
