"Oh?"
"Kakashi Hatake, what kind of ability does this brat have that makes you think he can fight me?"
The Demon of the Hidden Mist let out a deep, guttural laugh, his broad shoulders shaking with amusement. He found Kakashi's words utterly ridiculous—there was no way a mere kid like Naruto could be a match for him.
"Judging from that oversized butcher knife you're lugging around, you must be Kirigakure's rogue ninja—Zabuza Momochi, the Demon of the Mist."
Kakashi's gaze was sharp, unwavering. He could already feel the pressure emanating from Zabuza.
"Word of advice: if you underestimate Naruto, you might regret it."
Zabuza scoffed but said nothing. Instead, he rapidly weaved a series of hand signs, his fingers dancing through the air with deadly precision.
"Oh? Then I'll look forward to it."
"Enough chit-chat. I have an old man to kill."
"Ninjutsu—Hidden Mist Technique!"
A chilling breeze stirred as thick mist enveloped the forest in an instant. Visibility dropped to almost nothing, the surroundings swallowed by a dense white fog.
"Kakashi, your Sharingan won't be much use in this mist."
Zabuza's voice echoed from all directions, distorted and misleading. It was impossible to pinpoint his exact location.
"Wind Style—Gale Burst!"
Naruto had already devised a countermeasure. With a quick series of hand seals, he unleashed a powerful gust of wind that tore through the mist, scattering it like morning dew. The trees rustled violently, leaves and twigs flying in all directions.
"Nice job, Naruto!"
Sakura cheered from behind. The mist had made her uneasy, but now that it was cleared, she felt much more at ease.
Naruto smirked. This wind-style jutsu was one of the many he had won through the system's lottery over the past few months.
Zabuza clicked his tongue, slightly taken aback. He hadn't expected his signature technique to be countered so quickly.
But years of experience on the battlefield meant he wasted no time reacting.
"Water Style—Water Dragon Jutsu!"
The once-still waters around them roared to life, churning violently as a colossal water dragon surged upwards. Its glowing yellow eyes locked onto Tazuna before it lunged forward with terrifying speed.
"Earth Style—Earth Wall!"
Kakashi's hands blurred through seals before he slammed them to the ground. The earth trembled as a massive stone wall erupted, standing firm between them and the incoming attack.
The water dragon crashed against the wall, shattering into a torrential downpour that drenched the forest floor. Earth-style countered water-style—the result was inevitable.
"Shadow Clone Jutsu!"
With a familiar puff of smoke, the battlefield was suddenly flooded with Naruto clones—hundreds of them, filling every inch of space around Zabuza.
"What...?! What kind of monster is this brat?!"
For the first time, Zabuza was visibly shaken. Even an experienced ninja like him knew that creating shadow clones required splitting one's chakra evenly. Producing this many should have been impossible for a mere genin.
"Zabuza, how about I teach you a little something about overwhelming numbers?"
Before Zabuza could respond, the army of Naruto clones charged toward him like a tidal wave.
"Hmph! Numbers mean nothing in a real ninja battle."
Zabuza stood unfazed, standing atop the water's surface—his domain. With a smirk, he executed another jutsu.
"Water Style—Great Waterfall Jutsu!"
The tranquil lake beneath him erupted into a massive tidal wave, towering ten meters high before crashing down upon the swarm of Narutos.
Boom!Boom!Boom!
One by one, the clones popped like bubbles, white smoke filling the air as the water continued its relentless assault, surging toward Tazuna and the others.
"Sasuke! Sakura! Move!"
Kakashi leaped to higher ground, issuing his warning.
"Understood!"
Sasuke and Sakura grabbed Tazuna and leapt away, narrowly avoiding the raging flood.
Zabuza frowned, irritation creeping into his features. His attack had wiped out the clones, but the real Naruto was still out there.
"Tch. These brats are persistent."
Just as Zabuza smirked in triumph, a sudden shift in the air made him look up.
More Narutos were descending from the sky, each armed with a glowing, swirling Rasengan.
His smirk faltered. "Wait… what?"
Naruto grinned. "Special delivery!"
Another Naruto cackled. "Express shipping, straight to your face!"
Zabuza's eye twitched. "What kind of idiot fights like this?!"
[Zabuza anger point +50]
One of his water clones turned to him. "Uh, boss? We have a no-refund policy on bad decisions, right?"
[Zabuza anger point +79]
"Shut up and fight!" Zabuza roared, weaving hand signs in a panic.
"Water Style—Water Dragon Jutsu!"
From the churning water, a massive dragon formed, its glowing eyes locking onto the falling Narutos.
Naruto pointed at it mid-air. "Pfft, nice try, but you forgot one thing!"
Zabuza narrowed his eyes. "And what's that?"
Naruto smirked. "The background music!"
[Zabuza anger point +350]
From seemingly nowhere, an intense battle OST kicked in—thunderous drums, a choir chanting in ancient gibberish, and an electric guitar solo that sounded way too modern for a ninja fight.
Zabuza nearly tripped. "WHERE IS THAT EVEN COMING FROM?!"
One Naruto shrugged. "Who knows? But it's making this way more awesome!"
"Rasengan Barrage!!"
The Naruto swarm crashed down like a meteor shower, each one aiming for Zabuza.
[Zabuza anger point +150]
One of Zabuza's water clones looked up at the sky, sighed, and muttered, "nah am out."
