Chapter 6 - Q:PART SIX

Venice I wanted to see how this was going to play out. I want to step out of your shadow. The one thing that has been wrapped around you from the minute you stepped out into the real world. As much as you outright frustrate the hell out of me here, you were a simple creature and my virtual wife, called the internet had a lot to say about your algorithm.

You aren't a reader. No history of that from your accounts and no audio books saved or watched either. You were centered more on meditation and gaming sometimes and horror analogues. Oh, now that was interesting. You're a person who watches videos about training on getting up early, and doing things early by earliest six in the morning. Yet, you wake up at seven thirty in the morning. You weren't an early bird or a night owl either you were a full on certified sleepyhead. Cute.

My dear, your music is what broke your hardened exterior to me all the more. It says a lot. You try to explore better music options but always end up with certain artists: Al Green, Whitney Houston, Marvin Gaye, Celine Dion, and Ed Sheeran. Tell me that isn't the incomplete playlist of a hopeless romantic? That's what you were and to the death, which leads to the question, why have all your past relationships been flings and so called situationships? Could be for one reason or the other, but that is one thing about you I'm never going to assume you'll tell me one day.

I should stop breaking into your life, but you aren't giving me a lot to work with on the outside. Call me a man looking for water in the middle of the sahara, I think i've walked on dry sand for too long too.

Why do you do things the way you do them? Jace Follen? Really of all the men you could pick around that massive school. Instead, you pick toxic, manipulative and self centred. You pick a sex god, a self righteous douchebag who doesn't give a flying fuck about you and how you feel. Dates and sex? Is that what you want? Is that what you put your heart out for, to be treated like another easy girl off the streets? No, sorry I won't let you settle for that, and sooner or later you'll thank me for it, because it's a pathetic sight.

I hear the click of the switch to your room. You were articulate about the time you got home. I could blame my nosy behaviour or the fact that the walls between houses were thin as hell. There's another knock on your door. Your mother, from the female voice that came out.

"Venice could we talk?"

"I'm really tired today mom. Is tomorrow a better idea?" You weren't that tired, V. And I am yet to understand the relationship you had with you had with your parents really. You weren't going to talk tomorrow morning. We have all been teenagers before love. You will avoid it at all cost, go to a place to find comfort and security. I don't think bat caves existed in this part of town, but knowing you you find solitude in silence, which intrigued me even more than necessary.

The next morning I get to my shift at Danny's and get to work. I hated the smell of coffee it was a roasting smell I couldn't stand but since I didn't want to look like I was unemployed with nothing fitting to do. I had lots to do, but you were my primary focus from the start, you should be honoured. Finally someone sees you in a light that you deserved.

"Quincy?" I should be surprised to see you here. But I couldn't ignore the surprised look in your eyes, the annoyance. It happens to everyone. Yousee someone once and they seem to appear anywhere out of nowhere. but this wasn't a coincidence, you just never wanted to see. So, Danny approaches.

"Oh hey Venice, I see you know Quincy, he's been my part timer for months. I was wondering when you were going to meet again." I smiled and gave you a curt nod. No messing with you about this seemed too much. This was the beauty of a plan everything just falls into place perfectly. Its like a domino effect, events line up to one goal. My goal was simple in the end, you see me, in the end I get my results at the end, sweetheart, I shed light to everything unseen to you.
