Chapter 27 - Jiang Che, you're a shameless Bastard

"I know." On the other end of the phone, Jiang Che replied flatly. He didn't need to be told that Ye Chen had gone to find Bai Huamei, especially since she had information about the arms dealer. However, what Jiang Che didn't expect was for this woman to deliberately blackmail him while also calling to inform him. What? Was she afraid he would be in danger?

"You know?" Bai Huamei said in a daze; now it was her turn to be dumbfounded. "Did Ye Chen ask you for news about the smuggler?"

"That's right."

"Then you agreed?" Jiang Che asked with some doubt, struggling to understand what this woman was thinking.

"It's not convenient to talk about these things on the phone. Come to my bar," Bai Huamei said, and then hung up. She placed the phone down and lay back on the sofa, uncertain whether her decision was right or wrong. If Ye Chen found out that she tipped off Jiang Che, he would undoubtedly make trouble for her. But to protect herself, she had to take this risk; otherwise, she would be in trouble in the future! She had long wanted to deal with those smugglers, as the security risks associated with this business were too high. This might just be the opportunity she needed!

Not long after, Jiang Che arrived directly at Bai Huamei's bar, making his way to the box on the third floor where she was located.

"Miss Bai, here I am," Jiang Che smiled slightly as he unceremoniously sat across from her. He picked up a wine glass from the table and poured himself a drink.

"Humph!" Bai Huamei snorted coldly, ignoring Jiang Che. One matter was one matter; she had not forgotten how Jiang Che had threatened her last time.

"Tell me, what did you explain to Ye Chen?"

"We haven't traded yet, but he promised to give me 100 million Ruanmei coins as a reward, and we will finalize the deal in three days."

"Then why did you suddenly decide to tip me off?" Jiang Che asked curiously. Logically, given that he had blackmailed her last time, she should hate him and wish for Ye Chen to take care of him! So why tip him off?

"The amount of ammunition Ye Chen wants to buy is too large. I'm afraid this guy will cause some social unrest," Bai Huamei replied calmly after taking a sip of red wine. She understood that Ye Chen had been a mercenary in Heizhou for so long; who knew what he would do once he got the guns? In a place like Heizhou, where law and order was lax, he was used to acting recklessly, and she feared he might do so again. The only reason he was being so stable now was that he didn't have any firearms on hand.

"How much will he buy?" Jiang Che frowned, a bit puzzled.

"Five hundred pistols, fifty Barrett rifles, and dozens of grenades."

"It seems his subordinates have indeed entered the country..." Hearing Bai Huamei's words, Jiang Che pondered. Ye Chen was acquiring so many weapons all at once, which surely wasn't just for himself; they would be distributed among his men.

"What do you plan to do?" Jiang Che glanced at Bai Huamei. She had just mentioned that she and Ye Chen would make a deal in three days.

"Why not just call the police?" Bai Huamei hesitated for a moment before suggesting. After all, Ye Chen had so many mercenaries under his command; without involving the authorities, she couldn't deal with him effectively.

"I'll handle the call to the police. You and Ye Chen can go ahead with the deal, and make sure he goes to the agreed location so they can be arrested directly," Jiang Che stated. "Anyway, thank you this time."

"If you really want to thank me, return my shares!" Bai Huamei sneered, a mocking smile on her face. After all, that bastard Jiang Che had forced her to transfer 10% of her shares, which had diminished her control in the group.

"No problem." Jiang Che agreed without hesitation. Holding onto 10% of the shares was useless to him, and the annual dividends were negligible. The only reason he had pressured Bai Huamei before was to complete a task for the system. Now that the task was finished, he didn't mind returning the shares to her.

"Are you serious?" Bai Huamei was taken aback, looking at Jiang Che in confusion. She almost thought she had misheard him! This guy had forcibly taken 10% of her shares, and now he was just going to give them back? To be honest, Bai Huamei couldn't understand Jiang Che's mysterious actions. Did he just think it was fun to threaten her?

"The shares can be returned, but you have to agree to my other requirements." Jiang Che smiled evilly, a malicious glint in his eyes.

"Any request?" Bai Huamei frowned, fully aware that it wouldn't be that simple to get her shares back!

"It's very simple... as long as Miss Bai..." Jiang Che leaned closer to Bai Huamei and whispered something in her ear.

Hearing Jiang Che's request, Bai Huamei's face turned bright red, her chest heaving with anger as she shouted curses!

"Jiang Che, you bastard! Old pervert! Shameless!"

"The decision is in your hands, Miss Bai; I don't care either way." Despite Bai Huamei's furious outburst, Jiang Che remained unfazed. Was it too much to return her shares while also collecting some interest along the way?

"You scum!" Bai Huamei glared at Jiang Che, wishing she could kill this bastard on the spot! But for the 10% stake held by Jiang Che, she had to confront reality. Bai Huamei slowly walked over to Jiang Che and knelt down.
