Mirelah;
The flame explodes in front of me, and my heart dies in my chest as I watch it grow five times its original size, as it turns black. I fall to the ground as the now wild flame scalds my arm. I back away as I stare at the growing flame.
What's happening??
I shield my eyes as a cold gust of wind from nowhere rushes into the room, and blows out all the candles and torches, except for the black flame in front of me.
"What have you done!? "The eldest council member yells in panic as he and the remaining council members back away from the flame, and my heart starts ramming against my rib cage.
"Mirelah! "Queen Velnara yells, and I turn to her in fear. She looks mortified. Tears instantly rush to my eyes as I realize I must have done or said something wrong.
"I'm sorry, I… "I begin as I turn to Liriel in fear, but everything in me freezes when I see her smirking. She has her arms folded across her chest, and has a terrifying, knowing glint in her eyes.
