After sliver had sat down upon Gilgamesh request, Gilgamesh began to tell him everything about the Astenaun Empire.
"Let's start from a little bit of introduction again". 'Why?', asked Sliver, " I already know your name, so what's the point of telling me the name again ". "No, that's not where I was pointing to." Gilgamesh responded. " So what are you trying to say?". Tired of the way sliver was just cutting him off without him completing his words was making him uneasy, so he then told sliver that he was dead already, then Sliver's eyes widened and his head straightened up facing Gilgamesh, and he then asked " what do you mean by am dead already?". He said "when the beast entered your body, your manaless body could not contain it that much, so you started dying". Then sliver asked and said " so what made it to enter my body in the first place?". Gilgamesh replied and said " cause it was injured and about dying so it needed a host to keep it alive in other for it not to die, and you seemed like the perfect host for the job". "So you mean that my body is now a worker for a fucking beast?" Gilgamesh responded and said " Do me a favor and mind your language next time. As for your body, the beast's energy is entangled with mine, so that's what's keeping you alive till now, if not you'll be dead by now, so to sum it all, your body is the house, the energy is the food that both your body and the beast will feed on. Now that my mana has been implanted in you, you are now my disciple, that makes you my priority and responsibility, do you understand?" Sliver replied ' Yes I do. But can I ask you something?" Yes you may. " Well it's not just one question but like two". Gilgamesh responded '' no matter the number of questions, I'll answer them for you,just tell me.'' "Ok, first, why am I feeling attracted to you as I would to a girl? Second, why would you choose a manaless boy like me to become your disciple?. Gilgamesh stood up from where he was seated and turned to sliver and said. " Life they say isn't about what you gain, but what you make people gain". Sliver scoffs and says " whoever said that actually need a rethink of life again " Gilgamesh replied " really?". "Definitely." Sliver said with a yawn on his face. " You must be tired, get some rest we have a lot to do" said Gilgamesh. " No, you haven't answered all my questions, the second one is about the feeling. I kinda don't like it at all". " The bond between a Duke and his disciple, is created by a link, called the horizon, it atoms of mana formed together at the back of the duke that runs from the mind through the brain into the body and then it becomes visible. It usually appears at the back of a Duke in forms like veins that are shining at the back, but it varies in color depending on the Duke's ability, like mine is golden blue cause of my mana and the energy I possess". Sliver then asked again "but that does not answer my question, why am I having this feeling towards you?". "Because you are my disciple and my mana horizons are coursing through your veins as we speak, the horizon give off a strong connection, bond, feeling or whatsoever you want to name it as towards the Duke and disciple, so they feel each other's physiological pain, emotions or feelings." After saying this Gilgamesh stood up and faced the mountains, his hands crossed behind his back, as he just looked up at the night sky and said, "the the stars are beautiful". Sliver got up and then walked towards him and said "It really is beautiful, it reminds me of my parents when they were alive." "What happened?". Gilgamesh asked, " They were killed by some assassins and I was left alone, but I believe my uncles had a hand in their deaths". Sliver responded. "Do not let the past torment you, sometimes we just have to let go a the past in other for us to see the future". "If I find out it's them I'll kill them myself". Gilgamesh turned to sliver and said "And what if you're no match for them what will you do?". "That's why I have you as my lord, you won't leave me." Gilgamesh smiled and patted sliver at the back and said " don't waste power given to you just because of revenge, but that means you have accepted to become my disciple, your lucky". Sliver then said " will you have kept pressurizing me?". "No, I wouldn't dare, but I would've done far more worse than that". Shocked at the statement made by Gilgamesh, he just calmly said "so when do we begin training, and teaching me how to use my mana and others?". "Well, we'll start with the basics, like how to summon your spirit beast and how to communicate with it, first let's start with summoning the beast". A rush of anxiety mixed with fear, flew through Sliver's body as he imagined how he is going to summon something that just tried to kill him."so how am I supposed to call it out, by mentioning it's name?." "No", replied Gilgamesh. " You'll have to command it to come out, and be warned, it can feel your emotions, so whatever kind of emotions you have at this moment is what the beast will use to come out, be it fear, anger, hatred, love, happiness and so on ". So Sliver closed his eyes and could feel the beast's energy surging through his veins, and after sometime, his body began to glow, his eyes were still closed so he didn't know what was happening, his body was undergoing a mana leveling, Gilgamesh, surprised at the sight, wanted to rush to stop sliver but waited to see the outcome, and suddenly the beast appeared, sliver still glowing and lateral lines still forming in his whole body not just at his back turned and saw the beast, then looked at Gilgamesh who was still dumbfounded at the sighting he just witnessed, " sliver you just did something that hasn't been done in a thousand years". sliver said "Does summoning a beast means that am now a disciple, is it not what you wanted me to learn?". Gilgamesh responded with a smile "you just transformed your body and beast from a disciple rank to the rank of a Duke, which is what you will call impossible. The transformation from a disciple to a Duke without any interference means that the disciple's energy is beyond comparison, which has only happened once with the 1st Duke in all of history, his name was Saturnm, the most powerful duke that ever lived." Sliver still admiring his beast and body shape which had changed cause of the transformation. His hair had grown long and white, his eyes were blue burning with flames. "So now am the second disciple that just transformed from a low stage, cool. So, what happened to Duke 1?." Sliver said. "Nobody knows, at sometime he was said to have gone mad cause of his amount of power he couldn't control it anymore so he just disappeared, but it is rumoured that he started the Order, the group that was so fixed on killing the Elders, but no one knows any information about the group, rest tomorrow we'll get you a soul weapon ". Sliver was so overwhelmed on hearing this, so he asked how he could get the beast to get inside. Gilgamesh said " just dismiss it ". " Wait just like that, okay if you say so," he turned to the beast and said "your dismissed". The beast immediately vanished into thin air. Shocked at this, sliver asked Gilgamesh how he could stop the marks on his body from glowing, Gilgamesh told him that it'll reduce before tomorrow, they both laid down with their heads facing the skies and sliver then said "it really is a beautiful night". And they slept off.
Waking up, sliver turned to check if Gilgamesh had left him, he quickly stood up and looked around but couldn't find him, saddened at it he just sat down and said "why do they always leave". Suddenly Gilgamesh replied from above where he was floating in midair "who left you again?". Sliver looked up almost immediately and then asked him how he was able to stand on nothing, without falling, Gilgamesh responded "let's get you a soul weapon first." Sliver asked "why is it called soul weapon? Why not just call it a weapon?". Gilgamesh said "it's called that because it's your energy that will be the one selecting the weapon for you and not you, so whenever you wish to use it you just forge it out of your energy. Let's get going am hungry so we can get something to eat ".
