I was put inside a white room with a big metal table with a black tinted one-way glass window. Someone enters the room and sits across from me. The investor asks me the question of how I am doing and if I need anything. "Hi Leon my name is Dr Lamy, so Leon, how are you doing today?"
I quietly respond in a whisper with an undertone. "I don't know how I feel, I just killed people."
She asks me why I did what I did and if I still want to do it again. "Leon, what caused you to commit such a horrible act."
I hesitate to respond. "I wanted to help this poor child they were hurting, they hurt me so I didn't want them to treat him the way they treated me."
She asks me another question, this time curious. "And what exactly did they do to you, Leon?"
I didn't want to fully get the words out. "They hurt me badly, I almost bled too much a few times."
She tells me something that she knows could happen. "Are you aware of what your consequences could be for murder?"
I say nothing but nod to show I'm not stupid. She sips her cup of coffee and pulls out a clipboard with information about me.
I feel pissed did she even listen. "Didn't you hear me, I had to protect others and myself, they could never get away with hurting me because I wouldn't let it happen again.
She leaned back in fear. "Calm down Leon, I know you were hurt a small bit, but that's not a reason to make excuses for killing people."
I put my fist on the table and tell her, and I low my head. "Get out of here. I don't want someone like you talking to me, you should do your job. You don't even listen to me."
She starts reading into other files ignoring me. She starts to talk about some interesting facts I soon find out about. "Leon, did you know you have two other brothers who are just as old as you are, they are in different places at the moment. They are Callum and Callith. I can't tell too much more about them, other than the fact they are both mentally ill, just like you are."
I lift my head and raise an eyebrow almost shocked. "What do you mean I have brothers? You are joking, I lived my whole life in that gray hell, and not even once have I seen another kid in that house.
She starts to explain why I don't know anything about these people. "According to your records, you are adopted and your brothers are also adopted but are in separate homes across the state. You were found in a cult, people had you in a ritual, all of you.
Before she leaves I see a paper fall out and quickly pick it up and put it in my pocket. She looks back thinking she drops something but just forgets it. I look at her wishing her well, and she closes the door behind her.
I think before I respond but ask if she knows why I was adopted and who my real family was. If what she is saying is true, then my life has been a lie.
I ask here in a slightly aggressive tone. "Wait, who were my real parents, and where are my brothers?"
She feels a bit threatened but responds negatively. "Leon, I can't tell you any of that information. But your real mother was a lady called Yuri Ferry. She was found dead holding you in her arms, but unfortunately, we couldn't find who your father was.
I yell at her about what happened. "What fu*k happened to my real mother, you know about this but you don't know how she died or even who my father is, shouldn't you have done your job?"
She gets up and starts to pack up. "I'm sorry Leon but my time is up, you will be in court tomorrow, and we will see your punishments."
I am shoved into my cell and locked behind bars. The officer at me. "I hope you enjoy your punishment, you god-damn psychopath. People like you need death, right when we think we have peace there is always someone like you who hurts us."
I lie down on the bed and rest. The cell reeks of piss and mold. I think about who my brothers could be and if I could meet them… Hopefully, during court, they might come to see me.
