[System is broken!]×999
Alex stared in despair as this prompt filled his field of vision in bold red letters, his system was breaking!
His path to success in this fantasy world has broken!
Alex felt like he had been hit by a truck of bad luck for such a thing to happen, his system was gone just like that.
But before Alex could completely fall into the river of despair, a new window popped up in front of him.

Alex stared at the window in front of him blankly, unable to understand what he was looking at.
[Due to the system breaking down, several perimeters of the system have been broken. Required exp for leveling up is now fixed, repeatable missions no longer have limits and can be completed continuously even when capped. Penalty function disabled, rewards for missions are now fixed]
Alex slowly read everything on the window again to make sure that he wasn't seeing things, he concluded that everything was real after reading it for the fifth time!
"Doesn't this mean…" Alex covered his mouth, not daring to finish what he was about to say but he already had the thought; it turned out that this broken system could help him get stronger continuously without increasing the difficulty of leveling up and the missions were relatively simple as well!
He also would not be punished for failing to complete missions!
" The system isn't broken, it's fixed!" Alex could not help but shout out with a burst of loud laughter. He hoped that the system would never get fixed and would stay like this forever.
While Alex was still enjoying the excitement from his system, he heard the sounds of approaching footsteps.
Alex looked to the side and saw a tall man walking over to him with a serious expression on his face. He had neat black hair and a normal face that could easily be lost in a crowd, he was wearing casual clothes and looked to be in his thirties.
Alex knew this man from his newfound memories, he was addressed as teacher Arnold and was the teacher for general mana circulation for class four students which happened to be the class Alex was in currently.
He was a mage at the Mid Expert Mage rank and he had the fire element.
Behind him was the girl who had woken Alex up and threatened to report him after he failed to process what she was saying earlier.
The duo stopped in front of Alex's counter and stared at him with equally contempt filled gazes; they were looking down on Alex.
"Alex, why did you refuse to give Laura a pass into the library? Unlike you, she's the star of the academy and our hope of getting a good result in the upcoming competition. You shouldn't try to hold back others just because you are trash!" The man spat at Alex viciously.
Alex's eyebrows bent in a frown, the words of the teacher were quite hurtful and weren't something that should be said to a student, especially considering Alex's situation; this could drive a student into doing something horrible.
Seeing the frown on Alex's face, teacher Arnold smirked before saying once more.
"You are a class four student like her but you remained at the Mid Apprentice Mage rank despite spending four years in the academy, it's natural that you will feel jealous and want others to fail too. But you shouldn't do that to Laura, she's the hope of the academy and you should assist her instead." Arnold's tone was very pretentious as he gazed down at Alex, the red-haired girl beside him whose name was Laura also raised her chin in arrogance.
As the goddess of the fire class, she had a lot of admirers including Alex but he suddenly started to act like he couldn't understand her this afternoon; this irritated her so much, how dare a weak trash ignore her?
Alex forced himself to calm down, he could not afford to offend this teacher; at least not now.
"I'm sorry, " Alex said half-heartedly while bowing his head.
Teacher Arnold and Laura grinned evilly, they were satisfied with Alex's response.
"And I heard you were sleeping on duty. The academy decided to let you work here out of consideration for your misfortune but you don't even take it seriously, you'll be punished for this.
You are dismissed for today and your pay for the month will be halved, now go." teacher Arnold said and chased Alex out of the library.
"Trash"
Alex heard Laura's voice when he walked past her, he looked back and saw her glaring at him from the corner of her eyes.
'Such arrogance. Just wait, all of you. I promise to give you all the greatest surprises of your lives.' Alex thought to himself as an evil smirk formed on his face.
Alex left the library and walked through a long corridor before arriving in a large hallway with quite a few people walking through. Some were in similar uniforms as Alex while others were in casual clothes, those in casual clothes were obviously teachers or staff of the academy.
As for the students, they all had similar uniforms as Alex. The only difference was the color of their cloaks which represented the class they belonged to; the darker the color of their cloak, the higher their class.
One could see students with very bright red cloaks, Azura red cloaks, dark red cloaks, and blood-red cloaks. They were in the order of class one, class two, class three, and class four.
Alex had an almost metallic silver-colored coak and was the only one with the space element in the entire academy.
"Good afternoon, senior"
"Good day, senior Alex"
"Yo, Alex. Not at the library today?"
"You aren't trying to slack off work, are you?"
A few people greeted Alex as he walked through the hallway, Alex could feel the deep mockery in their words so he didn't answer them and just kept walking; even the junior students still ridiculed him, no one respected him.
Alex ignored all of them and kept walking till he was outside the academy building, he gazed back at the tall building of the academy and could not help but open his mouth in awe.
Although he had seen the academy from his new memories, seeing it like this for the first time still had a different effect. The academy was only a single-story building but was unimaginably large and had so much space to fit in a whole town's residents.
This was Dragonic Magic Academy and was one of the average magic academies in Balon City, Alex had spent three years of humiliation in this place and this was going to be his fourth year.
"But things are going to be different this time, I'm going to avenge those three years of humiliation!" Alex said with a cold look in his eyes before walking off.
He remembered that he(Alex) used to pick up his little sister whose school was on the way to their home, she was currently attending a normal school while waiting for her awakening; their school just happened to be under the Dragonic Magic Academy which would help the students get easy admission into the academy when they awakened.
"According to the memories I have, this little sister of mine would often come out with unusual appearances and bruises but the old Alex did not try to do anything because he was scared of offending those from powerful families," Alex said to himself as he walked towards the school premises.
He was thinking of how he was going to resolve the matter without causing harm to his new family.
Alex soon arrived and met some students of the school, they were in dazzling blue uniforms of different sizes with the girls wearing blue hats.
The boys only wore the school's blue uniform and blazers.
"Look, it's a mage from Dragonic Magic Academy"
One of the students immediately pointed at Alex when they saw him, since their school was under the academy they would obviously recognize most things about the academy. Alex's silver-colored coak was quite eye-catching, he had been popular during these three years. After all, most students here had siblings in the academy as well.
"Humph, it's just that trash. Let's not bother with him." another student said disdainfully while looking at Alex.
"Don't be like that. Even if he's trash, he's still a senior and we shouldn't offend him."
" What senior? My brother said that he has only this year left and would leave the academy by the time we awaken."
" Oh, then we should really ignore him. Don't want his bad luck spreading to us."
Alex ignored the words of these kids and patiently waited for his little sister. He was forcing himself to not throw dirt at these students; that was all he could do with his space element as a
magic apprentice, he was unable to carry anything heavy.
A figure soon appeared in Alex's line of sight and he immediately recognized her from the memories.
