After that, some weird-looking drone things came and picked him up, although I didn't get the chance to respond to him or get his name. Well he'd probably find out where I live and we can talk then, I mean a guy with that kinda cash could probably just find out with enough work.
Either way, I pretty much left after that, heading back home as some news trucks came by to report on the story as the people in chains freed themselves. Those fish guys probably didn't put them on tight enough or something like that, either way, it's not my problem anymore as I went back to my apartment wondering what I'd do tomorrow. So while they were busy giving the police their statement, I went home and just spent the rest of the day/night taking care of my plants, looking for jobs, and watching TV.
Honestly speaking I was thinking of popping over to Brooklyn and see if I could find someone a tad stronger than what I found here. I mean I may "patrol" here every day, but it might be a good idea to expand my horizons.
That night was pretty bland all things considered, no dreams or anything else I just went down one second and woke u to my alarm and someone knocking on my door. Getting up, I made sure I had some shorts and a white t-shirt on and went to answer the door opening it to see the cyborg guy on the other side who immediately bowed seeing me.
"Greetings Master, I am so sorry it took this long to find you as it took me some time to pinpoint your location and for the doctor to repair my body." He said while bowing down for some reason, I mean to each their own and all that just a bit weird.
"Ummmm, you wanna come inside?" Honestly, I just wanted to figure out this whole master business and figure out why he wanted me to be my disciple.
Honestly, as he went inside and found a place to sit down, I didn't really know what to do now. I mean even if I wanted a disciple I don't know how I could teach the guy, I mean the guy was probably mostly made of metal and I didn't even know if the training I did would have much effect on him.
Sitting down I got some coffee for myself made, enough for me and my guest in case he wanted some, I mean I was assuming he would want some.
"So do you want some coffee or some water?" I said whilst pouring myself a cup, nothing fancy or anything else added to it, just regular old coffee.
"I would very much appreciate it, Master!" He said nearly slamming his head down onto the table as I got another cup out preparing another one for him.
Sitting down I took a sip alongside him, both of us waiting for the other to talk. Honestly, I wasn't sure what to say, I mean usually, the people I save don't really notice my face or something like that, in fact, most of the time they're more thankful that they're alive than look at the guy who saved them. Now that I think of it that probably happens a lot and only find out later from the news who saved them.
"So why did you come here, I don't really get this whole master business or why you want me as one." I said resting my face on my hand as my elbow touched the table, kinda bored but still curious as to why he was here in the first place.
"Of course, I simply wish to become stronger, so that I may get revenge on the being who killed my family and decimated my town." Pretty straightforward explanation but I still didn't know what that had to do with me.
"If you hadn't saved me when that day then I would have never been able to fulfill my purpose in life, and the doctor who made a cyborg hard work would've been for nothing, so I wish to learn from you how to make myself stronger, strong enough to find the people who destroyed my town and annihilate them."
"So please take me in as a Disciple Master!" He said while bowing his head, and I just realized I never got his name nor did I give him mine.
"I mean ok, but I honestly have no idea how I can teach you, by the way, I don't think I got your name?" I said whilst taking another sip of my coffee, letting the caffeine in it wake me right up.
I think he perked up realizing that and bowed his head before speaking again "I'm sorry master, my name is Genos and please forgive me for my rudeness!"
I waved it off as I lifted my head off my other hand, letting it grab the mug for another sip "That's alright, no need to be so serious the name's Saitama."
"Thank you for your forgiveness and I promise not to disappoint you in the future!" Honestly, with all the shouting, I was kinda worried about what my neighbors would think, mostly because I didn't know if the walls were soundproof or what.
I mean it'd be nice if they were, but it was mostly single people and retired people living here so there wasn't really any way to test that out, and the landlord didn't say anything about it when I met them, probably should ask at some point.
"Well I mean I can try to teach ya Genos but I really-" Then a loud beeping came from somewhere, I'm assuming somewhere on Genos, probably a communicator or something.
"I'm sorry to interrupt this meeting but the Doctor has just sent me a message." He then got out a small black box and read it with an increasingly worried face. "I'm sorry Master but it appears a dimensional portal has opened in Brooklyn, and I would appreciate it if you could assist in the matter."
I quickly got up and changed in the closet into my clothes and with a bored look on my face, exited the door. "Simple Enough."
