Chapter 38 - My Friends

Portal 3

Dzeth stepped out of the Portal Stage 4, his face showing slight exhaustion, yet his demeanor remained calm. "We need to rest for a bit. Level 3 will be even more dangerous," he said, taking a deep breath.

However, Hwang disagreed. He didn't want to waste time and immediately stepped into the Level 3 Portal alone. Akanza, on the other hand, chose to rest.

Dzeth looked at Syiro. "Want to rest first?"

Syiro blushed slightly, nodding his head. He was truly exhausted after the previous battle.

Stage 1 - Entity From Hwang

Meanwhile, inside Portal Stage 1 Level 3, Hwang faced hundreds of armored Curses. He smirked. "Let's play, Fenrir."

From his shadow, a massive wolf emerged. Fenrir, Hwang's Entity, lunged forward, tearing through the Curses mercilessly. The Curses howled in agony, but none survived Fenrir's sharp fangs.

Elsewhere, Dzeth rose after resting sufficiently. "Let's go help Hwang," he said to Syiro.

Akanza shook his head. "I still need to rest. I'll catch up later."

Dzeth and Syiro entered the Level 3 Portal. As expected, Hwang had already cleared Stage 1 using only his Fenrir Entity. The scattered remains of the Curses were proof of his wolf's savagery.

"Why isn't Hwang afraid of something like this? And who is the Shadow Miracle'sthatupgraded his Technique?" - Dzeth mused to himself.

Stage 2 - Elite Paladin

They continued to Stage 2, where they encountered two Elite Paladins, ranked just below the Crimson Paladins.

Without hesitation, the two Elite Paladins charged. One attacked Hwang, but Fenrir blocked it with its fangs. The other rushed at Syiro, but was saved by Dzeth's Crimson Paladin (Divine).

"Two Elite Paladins? Then I shall summon two Paladins as well.Crimson Paladin, rise!"

Two Crimson Paladins materialized beside Dzeth and immediately engaged the enemies. A fierce battle ensued.

One Crimson Paladin unleashed Crimson Slashes, slicing one Elite Paladin in half. Now, only one remained. The last Elite Paladin dashed forward, unleashing a barrage of attacks at the remaining Crimson Paladin (Divine).

"Now only one remains!" the Elite Paladin laughed.

"One?" Dzeth smirked.

Dzeth accelerated and stabbed the Elite Paladin from behind. However, the enemy swiftly grabbed Dzeth's throat and sneered, "You're finished."

"Finished?" Dzeth replied with a grin.

Crack!

A sword pierced through the Elite Paladin's stomach. Dzeth had purposely distracted him, making the strategy successful. The Elite Paladin collapsed lifelessly.

As Dzeth and Syiro were about to leave Portal Stage 2, they noticed Hwang was missing. They began to feel uneasy.

-

Stage 3 - Twin Of Crimson

Entering Stage 3, they witnessed an intense battle between Fenrir and two Crimson Paladins. Blow after blow was exchanged, and the fight seemed evenly matched.

Then suddenly Crack! A sword pierced through Fenrir's body. Hwang staggered back, shocked. "What?!"

The Crimson Paladin lunged at Hwang, but suddenly

Boom!

A new entity appeared, punching the Crimson Paladin's sword away. It was a Grand Entity, a towering three-meter giant that fought with only its bare hands.

The battle between the Grand Entity and the Crimson Paladin began. The Grand Entity tore apart the Crimson Paladin's armor piece by piece, ripping through it with monstrous strength.

Eventually, the Crimson Paladin perished brutally, but the Grand Entity continued tearing its corpse apart and devouring it. Dzeth glanced at Syiro and whispered, "Do you think something is off with Hwang's new power?"

Syiro simply closed his eyes, unable to watch the gruesome scene.

-

Stage 4 - Hydro Paladin...

They proceeded to the final stage Stage 4. There, a Hydro Paladin sat alone in the center of the chamber. Syiro began to feel anxious.

Dzeth said, "This time, I won't use the Divine Army. I'll fight with my own hands."

He opened a portal and drew his two daggers Dimensional Dagger and Blood-Void Dagger.

The Hydro Paladin stood and said, "You are the one who has defeated many of our forces... One day, you will become The Unrivaled.."

"The Unrivaled?" Dzeth didn't understand.

The Hydro Paladin suddenly accelerated, attacking with his sword and water techniques. Dzeth dodged and countered with swift dagger strikes.

Hydro Paladin caught Dzeth's head and hurled him into the air before slamming him against the wall with a powerful stab.

Dzeth groaned in pain but quickly teleported before Hydro could launch another strike. Reappearing behind him, he slashed with both daggers, forcing Hydro to step back.

Hydro clenched his fists, causing the entire arena to flood within seconds. "Aqua Dominion!"

The water surged, forming massive currents that restricted Dzeth's movements. Sensing the danger, Dzeth activated Quantum Dash to evade, but Hydro was fast far faster than he expected.

Hydro appeared beside him, grabbing his arm and twisting it violently before delivering a brutal kick that sent Dzeth crashing into the flooded ground.

Coughing up blood, Dzeth growled, "Not bad... but not enough."

Summoning his strength, Dzeth countered with Infinity Purple, creating a devastating implosion of energy that evaporated part of the water, giving him an opening.

Hydro staggered slightly but quickly retaliated. He manipulated the water into high-pressure blades and launched them toward Dzeth at blinding speed.

Dzeth barely managed to parry them with his daggers but was pushed back. Seeing an opening, Hydro dashed forward, slamming his palm onto Dzeth's chest, sending him flying again.

As Dzeth struggled to get up, Syiro saw an opportunity. He gathered all his strength and unleashed a massive fire blast toward Hydro Paladin.

However, before the flames could hit, Hydro vanished only to reappear right in front of Syiro.

He gripped Syiro's throat tightly and, with a chilling smile, twisted it.

Crack!

"SYIRO!!" Dzeth's eyes widened, his body trembling.

At that moment, Hwang entered the portal and witnessed the scene. His face turned pale. "What happened?!"

Hydro Paladin turned his gaze to his new prey. He accelerated and stabbed Hwang, making him cough up blood.

"HWANG!!!" Dzeth screamed, his body drenched in blood. He could barely stand.

Through his agony, memories of his family being slaughtered by powerful Curses flooded his mind. He couldn't die here. He had to avenge them!

Dzeth clenched his daggers tightly. "No matter how many you kill... you will pay."

Hydro Paladin smirked. "Oh? Still alive?"

He dashed toward Dzeth.

But this time, Dzeth didn't move. As Hydro reached him, Dzeth grabbed his head with immense force, shattering Hydro's helmet.

"Just speed?" Dzeth whispered before teleporting behind him.

Slash! Slash! Slash!

A relentless flurry of dagger strikes shredded Hydro's armor completely.

"This is for my friends!" Dzeth roared.

"Exchange... Dimensional Hunter Technique... Awakening: Heavenly Dimension!"

He vanished. Hydro was shocked. "Where did he?!"

Dzeth reappeared above, striking from every direction at speeds beyond comprehension. He created a Dimensional Rift, trapping Hydro Paladin inside a confined space.

"Impossible! You have Dymen Miracle's power?!"

Dzeth continued his assault until he ultimately cleaved Hydro Paladin in two.

He stood amidst the carnage. "Between heaven and earth... I alone shall rise." – Dzeth Takahashi.
