[YUZUKI]
"I am just worried that Mother might bear the brunt of my mistake of not making sure the borehole was secure enough to see that you could have tripped. I am sorry about that, but it is how I feel," Rinko let out in one breath.
Yuzuki sighed.
Instinctively, Rinko closed her eyes, ready for whatever gate was waiting for her. The queen they all knew was a psychopath who never cared about anyone, so this was just going to be the end of the road for her and she was alright with it.
Perhaps she had to hoe, but what was the use of going right now? what else was she supposed to cling onto when life was shittier than anything she had ever had to encounter and deal with ever?
Perhaps it was what life looked like through her eyes, but this was a dangerous moment.
Hell, her queen was the danger.
"Interesting," was all Yuzuki said coldly before she walked ahead of Rinko, and pushed the doors to the throne room open. She could see the servant squirm beside her but her emotionless face was all that she needed to have anyway.
The men in the throne room would want prey and perhaps for her first tenure since waking from the dead, she would give them just that. the poor maidservant cursed to serve the worst woman alive in the realm. How interesting, right?
"Holy shit."
"Is she really alive?"
"We are fucked."
The throne room was as huge as Yuzuki had imagined it and with the help of her memories, she had established a familiarity with it even as he strode calculatedly to her seat, where someone was already having the fun of their lives.
Someone was on her defeat and she didn't like it. Perhaps that was because she spoke so stiffly, the words once again foreign to her, but at the same time, waiting to see what the hell she would do here.
She had been an alpha, who reported to the worst king alive. She had never been a queen and never knew what this much power could do, and yet there she was, bound to understand what the dynamics were.
One thing she had long been certain of, was that in every council, there was always someone who was more than ready to will themselves to a higher position. After all, that was always going to be what politics were made of, right?
But would it work here, and with this wild woman? Oh, Yuzuki.
"Enjoying the seat, Aoki?" Yuzuki asked, the disdain in her voice evident as the councilmen instantly shut up.
It was almost like they had expected her to be different just because she had been in a coma for a month, but was there a good enough reason to do what Aoki was trying to do?
This was pure madness, but that didn't seem to worry Yuzuki, even as she walked over to her seat and Aoki hurried to get off.
"Your majesty… I… I didn't think…" Aoki rambled as she stood right before him. She looked healthier than anyone had ever assumed and novelty she looked like the world was hers to conquer.
Then again, wasn't it always?
Wasn't that something that they had all been used to at this point with the wild Kuramitsu girl?
"You clearly didn't think," Yzuzuki said right before she snapped his neck and dragged to her feet with her new magic, before setting him on fire as if that was the most casual thing. The guards in the room were horrified, to say the least as they watched helplessly.
Aoki screamed for mercy and relief, but Yuzuki just watched coldly as the man burnt to ashes at her feet. Once she was sure he was dead, she cast a wind spell and the man's ashes were filtered out of the throne room through the windows.
It was a horrible sight and the councilmen started in utter shock. Yuzuki could smell their fear and when that was something he had avoided as an alpha with her own council, this time, she loved it.
She wanted to make sure everyone here spread the news about her hostility so that the word would reach Kazuya Yamashita. It had to reach the bastard, and it had to have him walking around her carefully.
She didn't care what the wolf would look like at her feet, crumbled and whatnot. All she was going for right now was the way Kazuya Yamashita would probably ask for her mercy and she wouldn't give it…
Just like he didn't show any mercy to Matsui, her very healthy mate who had been killed by Kazuya for rejecting the man. This was what he was becoming and Yuzuki wasn't going to fight it.
She was a monster and she was owning it.
"Get me another seat and give that to the carpenters to morph into something else," Yuzuki ordered and the warriors hurried to take her chair and take it out.
Of course that left her without a seat, and so instinctively the councilmen got up from theirs, silently offering them to her while she just stared at them like they were pathetic. Perhaps they were, but what use was that to Yuzuki anyway?
She wasn't here to massage any egos.
She would do whatever she wanted and however she wanted. She would make them feel the pinch of her presence and he wouldn't care if she had to cross any lines. She would do whatever it took to become one with the menace that was Queen Kuramitsu.
"I don't intend to share my seat with you. Get on with what you were doing. What is the agenda of the meeting today?" Yuzuki asked and the councilmen looked at each other, the fear on their faces making Yuzuki feel a different and wholesome sense of pride.
"This was… a 'welcome back' meeting for you, Your Majesty," one of them said.
Yuzuki scoffed at the absurdity.
"Do you not have assignments in your governing areas that you called for a meeting to see my face again? Is that what keeps you awake all night or you wanted to be sure I was dead so you could vote for one of you perhaps?
"Or was Aoki the first to take the bad step?" Yuzuki asked boredly and they stared at her in pure horror. It felt like she was reading the minds which were interesting because right now, she truly wasn't.
She was just speculating, given she had been a leader herself and she knew there was always someone plotting against her, no matter how good an alpha she had been in Fukada.
"How many treaties do we have with the Yamashita kingdom?" Yuzuki asked when they stared at her in fear instead of talking.
