"That was… wow."
A stranger's voice broke the silence, accompanied by the slow, mocking sound of clapping.
A chill ran down my spine.
My heart raced, and I hoped—prayed—that it wasn't who I thought it was behind me.
The horrors I had felt from the Alpha still hadn't faded. And now… it was him.
I wasn't sure yet, but I hoped—desperately—that I was wrong.
My body turned on instinct, my gaze locking onto that person.
Those fierce, hazel-like eyes that looked almost red.
That face—the one that, no matter how much time passed, always made tears well up in my eyes.
I didn't want to stand there. I didn't want to see his face or have a conversation with him.
My biggest bully.
So my legs moved—I wanted to run.
But he was faster.
In a blur, I found myself moving at his speed before he finally pinned me against the wall.
His gaze burned into me. I squeezed my eyes shut, refusing to look at him, refusing to give him the chance to speak.
