To say Rowan was unhappy would be like calling a winter storm a light breeze.
He was furious.
As was Anna for some reason.
"BE SILENT." I told them. Forcefully. I didn't shout. But my tone shut them both up.
"Rowan. You like to play the part of my manservant. And to humour you, I play along. But if there was ever a time I needed you to obey me, it would be now. You WILL go with Anna back to the kingdom. You WILL leave tonight. You WILL obey me. Am I understood?"
Rowan was angry, and my words only made him angrier.
"AM I UNDERSTOOD, soulbrother?" I cut him off.
He glared at me.
I held his gaze.
He looked away.
"Yes, sir." He said.
"I will have an oath of you, Rowan."
He looked up sharply. "Sir, I will obey you." he said.
"I know you, Rowan, which is why I'm asking for your oath and promise that you will not deviate from my commands in the slightest."
