We were in the air an hour later.
"It's a long flight to the Desert Kingdoms." I told him. "We're going to be stopping by the border baronies half way through tomorrow morning, and then it's another two days to the Khanate."
I focused on Ilargia, a flat platform appeared on either side of him.
"Best get comfortable."
An hour or two passed in silence, as the kingdom sped beneath us at lightning speed.
"Why are we going to the Desert Kingdoms sir?" Rowan asked, handing me a sandwich.
"Ayenna made food?"
"She's a good woman, sir."
"The best."
"So?"
I looked at my friend for a long moment. "Anna's been having visions." I told him. "We need to stop what she's seen from happening or life is going to get very hard very quickly."
"Fair enough."
"That's it?" I asked, surprised.
"Sir, I'm your sword. You point me in a direction, and say kill, and I'll kill. A sword doesn't need to know it's master's intentions. It just needs to cut."
"I don't deserve you, lad."
