Daisy dodged out of the way, as I lowered the massive anvil to the floor.
It was peculiar looking thing. Solid metal, with magic runes and circuits carved on every surface, all leading to, or speaking about, the diamond in the centre. On one end of the anvil was a wide basin, with a narrow canal leading to a second basin carved into the metal.
Opposite the second basin were four complex magic circles.
The lesser spirits that had carried it for me all bobbed gently at me before vanishing into the sunset.
"Sorry it took so long, Daisy, the Enchanters spent days on this. They were fascinated by it. Apparently, this has never been done. The whole department got involved," I grinned. "There were even fistfights."
The young dwarf woman ran her hands along the anvil, tracing the circuitry.
"Fire, barrier, insulation, flight?" She read the magic circles. "Why flight?"
