We spent a few hours on the island, and only once I was certain that Anna believed my promise did I bring her back. She was smiling when I dropped her off on her balcony.
Now I knelt beside my bed, my hands clasped before me. I missed her.
Before I even opened my mouth, I felt her presence.
She put her head against my back.
- Hello.
"Hi." I turned around and sat in front of my goddess. She was smiling at me gently. Gods I loved her smile.
"You've been quiet, recently." She said in a gentle rebuke.
"I didn't want to disturb you." I tapped my heart. "You're part of my weave now. It's enough to tide me over until I see you again."
"The old man gave me quite a stern talking to when I got back." She said, sitting beside me, her back against the bed. "But, between you and me, I think he was pleased. He's always smiling, so it's difficult to tell, but I think he admired a small part of what we did."
