Carter stared dagger's at Leonard his chef as he supported Ava who was leaning weakly on his bare chest as he escorted her an empty room across the hall way—he was boiling with anger,he had taken his time to freshen up while looking forward to a good meal only for him to get thrown up at by a common employee!
His personal doctor gave him a questioning look as he walked in to find Carter bare chested.
"She threw up on my shirt" Carter said quickly,he didn't like to explain himself to anyone, but it was better than being misunderstood he reckoned as his chef began explaining what had happened to the doctor.
The doctor made the chef list out everything Ava had eaten, the chef then mentioned that the puree for the flat bread was made of roasted cashew nuts—clearly, Ava was allergic to nuts.

Ava woke up to see that it was already late at night although she had no idea where she was or what time of the next night it was. She was felt a strange sharp pain on her right hand when she tried to move so she used her left hand to grope around, luckily she was able to find her phone and switch on the bed side lamp that was beside the bed.
After switching on the light she saw that a drip had been administered to her which got her a bit confused, the environment also seemed strange,it certainly wasn't her room.
She quickly removed the needle from her hand and headed to the window to check her surroundings. She heaved a sigh of relief when she saw that she was in Carter's mansion, but another panic hit her, what was she doing there by that time?. She was trying to figure that out when a sharp irritating smell hit her from her clothes,"oh no!" She gasped as she began to remember the series of events that led up until that point when the sharp smell from her clothes hit her again.
She began to strip when she noticed a change of clothes neatly arranged on a couch closed to the bathroom. She rushed in to the shower got into the clean clothes.
"No way I'm wearing his clothes"Ava exclaimed as the strong scent of his cologne filled her nostrils. She wanted to die from embarrassment, but she had to meet three deadlines from Candice by Monday,so she got to work.

It was 6 AM in the morning and Carter was very much still angry and hungry as well—he was so irritated he couldn't eat.
He wore something presentable and walked calmly to the room where she was staying—he was going to give her a piece of his mind.
He gently opened the door to see if she was still sleeping but he saw that the bed she had lain on was empty from the where he stood and the entrance. 'Where could she be?' he asked himself as his eyes searched the dimly lit room.
He searched for a while before he saw her fast asleep on the dressing table with her laptop. The table was littered with papers and he could tell she was working but definitely not the one they were working on because they had concluded on ninety-five percent of the report.
The leaned in to examine what she was doing. "This is a lot of work" he muttered under his breath as he continued going through the document. The scent of her perfumed hair drew his gaze to her face, the innocence on her face made him forget about his anger.
He felt a strangely familiar pull as he was taking in her facial features, he had seen many women but there was something about this one. He was still trying to place where he had felt that familiar pull when he felt something dripping on his feet—the spot were the IV line was inserted was bleeding.
He had gotten a first-aid and was putting a bandaid to stop the bleeding when she slowly opened her swollen, sleep deprived eyes and steadied them on him.
He lifted up his head when he noticed she was awake, that was when he saw it—those swollen dreamy eyes.
She was the lady from the hospital and his dreams as well! Why did she lie to him—he reasoned as he fiercely tightened the bandage on her hand.
