Alpha Dorian Graves's POV
The wolf's neck snapped under my grip. His body went limp, eyes wide with fear even in death. He was the third spy I'd caught this week—another hunter looking for Amara.
"You should have chosen a different prey," I whispered, letting the body fall to the forest floor.
I wiped blood from my hands and checked the man's pockets. A folded paper held a crude map with markings near the Forgotten Woods. So the reports were true. Amara had been there only days ago.
My phone buzzed. It was Kira, my most loyal fighter.
"Tell me you have good news," I said.
"Better than good," she responded. "We found one of the Blood Moon Pack members—a young female named Nina. She was trying to reach Amara with a message."
My heart raced. "Where are you keeping her?"
"The old hunting cabin. She's not talking yet, but everyone breaks eventually."
"I'm on my way. Don't start without me."
