Chapter 1 - UNI and Gruen Empire {Edited}

{March 1st, 2025, 55 billion light years away, Guren Galactic Empire, Level 4}

The giant planet has a mechanical ring surrounding it and a population of nearly 7 trillion people. One light, golden in color, shot out of this massive planet. This light was faster than the speed of light, breaking reality wherever it went. After it left the galaxy, the entire galaxy and three different galaxies erupted in an explosion. This explosion expanded its heat and dust until it reached the end of the third galaxy, where it dissipated, breaking yet another law of reality.

~RING, RING, RING

The bell rang as a kid, freshly turned 18 yesterday, turned it off. He had black hair and brown eyes. 'I am Just another ordinary guy. No special skills, no legacy, nothing extraordinary about me. Except... my past. It's a little darker than most, but I'm used to it now.' he thought, as it became a daily routine for him to explain his situation to himself in the morning mirror.

'My name's Aniket Sai. I guess it's as plain as my life has been. My father died in an accident, my mother went missing. So I grew up alone, orphaned by fate and society's indifference. But yesterday, I bought an apartment. It's mine now. It doesn't erase anything, but it's a start.' Aniket thought with a very sad expression. He washed his face with water, and we saw him smiling again. Although, it looked very real except for his eyes, which still held sadness in them.

"Another day, another grind," he muttered, slinging his backpack over his shoulder. His life wasn't glamorous, but it was his, and that's what kept him going. He was dressed in a casual outfit that looked professional enough to pass but also casual enough to make him more approachable. In a few days, he will complete his schooling and is now planning to work full-time. He was good at his studies, rarely scoring below 95% on any exam, but his financial situation made it difficult for him to go to college, even community college, since it took up too much time. Thankfully, the college offered a full scholarship to him.

As he opened the door and left the apartment building with his bicycle, the light that was seen earlier seemed to appear out of nowhere and hit him on the head. The force of which knowed him down into the cold hard floor. A passerby was confused as to what had happened, but seeing him unresponsive, she called the emergency vehicle to take him to the hospital.

I woke up feeling nauseous, like I was on the worst roller coaster of my life. My brain throbs as if it were beaten by a bunch of thugs, my visuals are all blurry and it is too god damn bright. As I try to process all of these and recollect what had happened, information that I never knew about pieced everything together. Although it made little to no sense at all, there was an easy way to confirm my hypothesis. I rubbed my eyes out of all the dust and looked around to see the room filled with items.

It was ordinary if not for the blue neon light that highlighted everything, this conforms to it. I now possess alien technology. From the knowledge put in my head forcefully, this technology is called uni. Well, it is called universal civilization creation processing technology. I just named it Uni because why not? I gave the room another glance around to make sure that there was one here. After confirming that I was alone, I said, "Explain your purpose for choosing me."

[ Are you referring to me, sir?]

"Yes," I said, waiting for a response.

[ As you know, I come from a type 4 civilization or as most of the beings in the universe called it Level 4 civilization. The purpose of me coming here is to choose a being who would bring the best out of the knowledge that the Guren collected from all their conquest. ]

"Why would they give this to me for free?" I asked, I am not foolish enough to accept it out of their heart or some other bullshit like that.

[ The reason is that Guren was a Level Four civilization empire, which is the highest rank one has achieved in this universe. The Guren race valued knowledge over anything; thus, they used their wealth and power to collect scientific knowledge. They collected nearly all scientific knowledge of the other level-four empires, level-three kingdoms, and more. Originally, they were just for the race to learn and improve, but the problem is that all this knowledge was classified for each of the empire. When they found out, it started the downfall of the Guren empire.

As the war earned its close just after a few years, it is clear that they would be killed, so they created me. Who will go to an unconquered territory and choose a being who is going to make the most use of the technology I can give?]

This is insane. I don't have time for this. Why would the universe pick me? I barely have a grip on my own life, let alone the world. "I reject, you can go chose another being," I said

[ I can't do that; once bound, I am like your second soul or consciousness. I can't leave you.]

"This is slavery, I rebel," I said with a straight face.

[You can't rebel against yourself. I am the one who is serving you, and you are my master, aka host.]

"That's what the politician said, and guess what? They do nothing except divide people on random issues," I said again with a straight face, which grew into a tired one, and I said, "Do I even get any benefits for binding with you?"

[ I am a technology made by collecting every single piece of scientific knowledge in the universe, and granting access to all of them is just the tip of the scale. I am a bunch of Femtomites, which are like nanomachines but with a scale of a femtometre able to manipulate matter, but most of my ability is currently unusable due to energy constraints.]
