Chapter 7 - Lawyers

{March 10th, 2025, 18:00, country I}

[Sir, when are we going to discuss the plans again?]

"Um…Not today, maybe tomorrow," Aniket said. He was currently in his underwear watching a TV serial with a packet of chips that he occasionally eats, this is most likely the reason for his skinny–fat body. He was neither fat nor was he skinny, anyways Uni said, annoyed at its host's laziness.

[No, Sir. I have been asking you to since March 3rd, it has been a week counting today. Can you please get to work?]

'This is the most amount of annoyment I seen her give me, I guess she is getting serious. Plus, this lifestyle is hurting my body anyways,' Aniket thought as he shut down the TV and began to focus on the major problem. 'I don't want the government eyes on me, but setting up the things I need require a lot of power which I don't have.' Aniket thought.

[I suggest we do things in public, to gather forces under our banner and create an empire.]

Aniket raised an eyebrow as he said, "I don't want the government to look into me; it will make it harder to try and overthrow the world government. Plus, if our competitors know of my livelihood, they may use it against me."

[That is true, but the pure innovation that we possess in our arsenal is enough to make any government tremble and create an unlimited amount of enemies for us to deal with. However, we need existing power to build a base to make a secretive power on top of it. After all, no matter how much of the building we hid behind clouds, the base would still be seen.]

Aniket sighed and then thought of a novel where he had read a similar situation. "Uni, I could record you into my laptop, and then you could potentially bypass all the security in the world. This would mean you give me sort of like a shield, can't you?"

[Sir, currently there is no computer, including the ones you called quantum computers, that could handle running my code. There is a reason why a majority of my functions run on your energy, and currently, you don't have enough to think about 99% of my function. Thus, to build a computer to run 1% of my code, you would need an entire solar system filled with quantum computers, not the one you have actual quantum computer and then you may run it with the computer not being able to do anything else.]

'I could code an AI to suit my needs, but that would not be possible with the computer I have, and on top of that, I don't want to deal with maintenance and other such things that require attention with that,' Aniket said, he thought about the benefits and liabilities. After nearly 30 minutes of just pure brainstorming, Aniket decided to give up.

"Fine, I give up. Let's deal with the money first," Aniket said as he called a bank that was the highest-rated bank in the country. A lady's voice on the other end said

"Hello, Sir. How may I help you today?"

"Hi, I want to open a bank account," Aniket said, straight to the point with no bullshiting around.

"We can't open an account on the phone, sir," the lady said. She then asked, "May I know the City you live in so I can direct you to the nearest bank location?"

"No need, I will look it up on Google. Can you tell me all the documents I need for opening an account?" Aniket asked, then added, "I want to open a business account for business transactions".

"We will need to see your Director ID, Digital Signature, and a copy of the MCA. A PAN would be great but not required." She said as she continued to list of documents like birth certificate and all before finally he ended to call after a hour.

"Uni, what do you suggest? If we want to open a bank account, we will need to have a business, but if we have a business, we need a bank account." He asked his AI assistant. It was already nearly 8:00 pm, and he was ready to eat dinner and sleep.

[I suggest we lawyer up, sir. We will need a reliable firm to handle our case.]

'ugg…More work. I can't wait when I can delegate all this work to other people and just relax' He thought as he went onto the internet to search for a lawyer for this case. Finally, after another 3 hours (one of which was spent on eating) while the other two were spent arguing with themselves on who to choose. They locked in on 3 choices, these were:

Golden Suit: A law firm that has nearly 100 years of history, they have won many prestigious cases and even argued in the supreme court often.

Black Suit: A law firm that has been rivaling Golden Suit. They also won many cases, all of which ever against Golden Suit but also had a history of draining people dry of their money. It is arguably better than Golden Suit, but the fees are also just as draining. If you want quality and can offered to send some money.

Purple Suit: The weakest of the trio, they are the ones that come in the resent years started by 2 brothers and they are continually growing until they managed to beat the rest of the club behind. Although they are trying to compete with the first 2, they don't have enough big clients to work with.

"I say we go with the purple suit," Aniket said after the final review of their situation from Google and various trusted websites. Most of which may or may not involve illegal hacking to gather sensitive data from their database.

[Why do you say that?]

"While the golden suit and black suit have a greater history and well well-established, they are also likely to ignore me into their crowd of big clients. After all, I am currently all potential and have little to no kinetic even if they didn't the fees themselves require me to ask them for some time let alone black suit which will take away all my reward,s" Aniket explained, and Uni made a nodding gesture before responding with

[But those two have a history of winning against the government and know the dark ways through the system]

"That's true, but it ignores the entire database of the purple suit. They have a higher win ratio; you can argue that it is because they dealt with smaller cases or that they have not dealt with enough cases, but still an impressive record. Plus, if the they can put the son of a minister behind bars then they know their fair share of darkness." Aniket said.
